What's the difference between shrimping and hip escaping ?
I have another brown belt to drill this with on Monday. This might be the second time I feel my core strength is lacking. Holding the core tight enough to connect with yourself when its very large weight difference still eludes me.
A whole instructional? I'd buy that.
You're in luck, it will be released next week!
But they told me I will only get punch in the face by wrestlers if I play guard.
😂
@@the.BJJproject Is this covered under the suitcase curriculum? Or will this be a completely separate purchase?
@@naakaalastudio6655 yes it will be added to the suitcase, so if you have it already it’s free. There will also be a separate version so if you do not have the suitcase you can purchase Vale Tudo guard separately.
I love the amount of knowledge the dude has.
This is gold
Absolutely great stuff! Thank you for this video.
I spent an entire weekend watching side control escape tutorials. I came to the gym on Monday and couldn't escape even once.
@@vimvigour3327 couldn’t escape in sparring? We recommend you start with a compliant training partner who knows what you’re training so you can drill and feel and get an understanding of the movement. Like anything, you need to practice first.
please!!!!!! More! It's forgotten!
Were planning on it!
Excellent video!!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
Cool
"The triple pecker wrecker" Omg. lol. I am dying. had to stope video too. awesome stuff. keep up the work.
Great details. It allows you to engage on your terms. They can’t stand up well, but they can’t hit you either once done correctly.
Exactly!
Superb content
I'm so glad to see that Sean Penn got into BJJ. Great instruction!
Stay off your Heels
Put pressure on the retracting limb. Thats ice cold game changer info.
Great vid!!
Excellent. As I watch these videos I can feel the stripe’s magically appearing on my belt. But Seriously…this stuff is gold!!!!🕺🏾🔥🕺🏾🔥🕺🏾👊🏽
This is one of our favourite comments! 🙌🏼
I fucking love this channel. Been following for a few weeks now. Gonna save a few more pennies then buy your fundamentals from your website. Appreciate it.
Thanks for the support! Welcome aboard.
If you havn't already, do the BJJ Journey Score. We'll send you a bunch of free content to get you started 🐐

You’re a mean one, Mr. Clinch. Merry Christmas!

Wonderful!
I recently received my purple belt and I am so excited to incorporate this new knowledge to my game. This is AWESOME!!!
Congratulations on your purple belt! Glad you liked it.
can you do short video on the collar tie clinch too?
Kesa gatame is another beast all together
I like how he explains things. Right to the point. Pay attention. He tells you the why. New fav channel.
Can you do a video on setups for takedowns?
We have recorded this and will release in the coming weeks
Great content, thank you! There is no concise headlock self-defense BJJ playlist anywhere. Front headlocks, side headlocks, rear headlocks, headlocks on the floor. You have to go across many different channels to find all the information. I think it would be incredible if you could put something together like that. I'm subscribed now either way!
Great details and great techniques but I'm still not understanding why you're calling this a balloon sweep when there is already a very well known "Balloon" sweep in the Gracie BJJ ecosystem and this sequence of techniques have no resemblance to it.
principle not clear enough. This concept probably needs a full-length video
1:30, 2:00, 2:33, 3:20
Even in wrestling I was taught that the monkey grip for the clinch is structure, not strength. Any push (neck frame aside), should be making the hold tighter, not weaker. Why is your monkey grip breaking every time the partner pushes you like a light breeze?
I AM IDIOT. PLEASE TO EXPLAIN THIS PRINCIPLE.
It’s difficult to choke someone when your choking arm (around the neck) is on top. Notice the direction he scoots his body and rolls and where the attackers choking arm ends up.
@slord1512 sorry man, I should be more specific. I understand the arm coming off the corotids when he gets his back to the mat. What I'm not seeing is how he's keeping the choke off when he gets flattened out. I see him raise his left arm at one point, but is that the detail?
@@Mithrandir69ahh, Im not sure. When someone flattens me out and has an RNC I’ve tapped 100% of the time ha. I’m not positive but I’m thinking the arm going up is just to help with the roll and that its really the chin tuck that’s preventing the choke from finishing while he gets into position to scoot again. I’ve watched 1:05 - 1:08 ten time’s and am wondering if the attacker loosened up a bit for the sake of the video or not
wow this seems great. im definitely going to drill this. id love to see the video that teaches you how to set it up because i rarely end up holding my opponent like that
We have some videos coming including 'getting to the clinch' which will help 💪🏼

yoooo massive W. thank u coach!
What do you think about Gracie Combatives from GU as a foundation? What do I miss?
@@fulviopaschoal8303 the main thing is you are making progress, enjoying training and being supported by your coaches. A focus on the foundations of Jiu Jitsu will always serve you well. Finding a coach or instructions that suit your learning style makes a big difference. If GU is working for you then keep going! When you’re looking for something more or get stuck, try what we have 👍
@the.BJJproject Thank you so much for the feedback, my CTC (in Brazil) is no longer under GU, but I already finished Combatives and want to keep on the self defense track. I trust my instructor and I'm also fallowing content like yours, which is great. Thank you so much!
I love how all of this guys techniques are him explaining it like it should be totally obvious
The sound it made a few times kinda shook me
Oh I never figured it out properly, I've been sitting back for months. thank you!
I see the channel growing fast I try to rewatch your videos to memorize them and it works . This is BJJ as it is supposed to be and the BJJ I love. Am looking forward to more content
