Beautiful idea and execution, thank you so much for this tutorial that keeps the art so doable and helps us overcome our perfectionism and diffidence to give it a shot. I've been playing with watercolours for a year now, a recovering perfectionist and doing art to heal from trauma and deep-rooted anxiety, which makes it difficult to do the art at all. So this kind of tutorial is very helpful to me. I've got a bunch of gorgeous 100% cotton wc journals that have been too precious to use but this picture you made looks doable And pretty, the colours are so well balanced so it satisfies my anxious side as well as my perfectionist who wants a pretty picture at the end of my efforts. I just heard about Viviva paints from Diane Antone on her YT channel last night, and can't wait to get your 16-pan set, which I hope to order today as a treat!

What kind of brush was she using?

Artists be aware, Viviva products cannot be advertised as watercolors because they are not the same, instead they are made with aniline colors, bright at first, then eventually you artwork will look faded.

I bought the watercolor sketchbook and the pepper keeps pilling and it’s so hard to use. Am I doing anything wrong.

Every year I have tried to buy these supplies and every year they are sold out weeks in advance. This was my last year trying to participate with the Viviva supplies. It’s just not meant to be for me and the yearly disappointment is just depressing. I hope everyone else really enjoys their Inktober! Best wishes to you all

Sorry, but the sketchpad paper is terrible for watercolor. The travel kit is cute though.
