США
Добавлен 13 дек 2020
This channel is about all things concerning prepping for the elderly and/or differently-abled.
No one in the prepper community has addressed this, but it's something that everyone needs to know. Sooner or later either you or a loved one will need a little help. I'm here to say not only is it possible, with a little preparation it can be done.
Please take a look at the videos, and if you like please like and subscribe!
Cheers,
Jill at Prepper for the Ages

You'll just have to keep trapping them until they aren't an issue any longer. I do think someone has done something in your area to either draw them in or disrupted a large nesting site. I could be wrong but they are being drawn for some reason........
I shut the chicken roost every night so no rats get in, and then take the feeder inside the house. The water I dump out so they can't get a good drink. But IMHO there's still a scent of chicken feed so they come right over. Thank you for your thoughts, will drive around the area slowly to see if anyone has any construction going on.
@@prepperfortheages878 Your most likely right about the compost piles. Yes, they will still come due to a scent of feed but you are doing everything possible on your end.
They certainly seem active and busy. I would agree they are multiplying. Has there been any recent construction in the area that may have uprooted their nesting spot perhaps?
Not that I know of. Am thinking we have a lot of 'green' people who have compost piles... but they don't know enough to bury their kitchen scraps with a shovel. Those critters look well fed.
@@prepperfortheages878 Ah, yes. This could certainly be the case and play into the reason you found a dead rat in your live trap, lol.......only "green" until rats come around and bring problems and then the poison comes out.
Beautiful dog
Thank you!
Here's to being a team Prepper for the Ages 😃I don't have a holiday turkey or ham bought yet but we already had our Thanksgiving dinner here in Canada. Not sure what I'm doing for Christmas yet but I have other foods prepped. Today I'm making a big roasting pan of hamburger stew to enjoy as a meal tonight, probably tomorrow as well and the rest will get frozen for future use. Thanks for saying hello and sharing your thoughts. Prepping is an important subject and the majority of people are not so ready if anything did happen.
👍👍👍
Thank you, my friend, for sharing and well, how things will end it depends on the result of the election and no matter what it will affect the world in a good way or a bad way it depends on who wins. And if we have bad luck, it can be real problems it can be civil unrest. But as you said hope for the best and prepare for the worst and i have shared your video out and a 👍as well for you.
Thank you Shadow!
@@prepperfortheages878 You are most welcome my friend.
I am as ready as anyone can be in this uncertain world we live in♦
We need more Anne Hayns in the world. 🙂
I'm ready for everything but the unexpected!😂!

Yuck!
Ew!
It's a difficult situation and hard to manage. Good job the mouse was in a trap where the other animals couldn't get to it. We used to feed the birds here then a colony of rats moved into the garden with an elaborate system of tunnels. They grew bolder and bolder. In the end we stopped feeding the birds and dug out the rat borrows. They've not returned. We do have a big mouse problem in the house. This is our fourth year here and we just got a kitten who is four months now to help me deal with the mice. Last winter I trapped them in dead traps. Good luck with it all ❤❤
Thank you, my friend, for sharing and i hope your new coop will keep the rats and mice out or otherwise you have to make your new coop safe as fort Knox.
"Oh no! 😱 It must have been quite a surprise to find a dead mouse in the live trap! 🐭🔍 I hope you’re able to share what happened next! Thanks for sharing this real-life moment with us! 🙈💔"
New sub for support over from Annie’s place 😊
nice
I think your guess is probably correct about the poison somewhere. Agreed that it's good that the dog or chickens didn't get at it. Your getting the rotents dwindled down 👍I used to have 14 chickens and usually got 6 to 7 dozen eggs per week but had to sell them after 1 winter because I found it very difficult to manage with fibromyalgia. I missed them big time after they were gone but chickens aren't 3 season chickens, lol.
nice
Agreed that it needs to go 👍💯
I would like to invest in some cams someday. Glad you were able to get the chicken coup secure 🙂
I can sure relate to not wanting to carry stuff over ice, lol. Not my cup of tea either. This is a good idea to help conceal what's on the shelves in the basement 👍
I've been away for a couple of weeks and had my notifications turned off. I'm pleased to hear that your mother is on the road to recovery and that the hospital was able to help figure a few things out that were going on 💕It sure would be difficult to try to figure out what's going on as a caregiver with someone that is non verbal. You do a fantastic job of caring for your mom that is for certain ❤
The critter-cam was inside the chicken run, so yes this little guy has to go.
Very smart,Jill! No one needs to see your stash👍❤️🙏
Awesome video and i agree with you that is an issue if someone need to go down there and do things. So, it is a good idea to do what you have done so far and it will work a sheet like that is nice .
Thank you Shadow! Miss your livestreams, I hope things are beginning to settle down for you.
@@prepperfortheages878 Yeah i know you do and i think i am going to begin to put up some new videos next week so i begin to settle down a bit. The funeral is over and i have one big thing to do and that is i have to go down back and clean out mfathers house i just wait for my brother to call me about a date.
Well, that i hope your mom will doing better from that UTI and i hope she will hang on. Thank you for sharing much appreciated and it is also good to have some projects to do on your spare time.
Glad mom is better.
Thank you sweetie.
Awesome! Cant wait to watch the incubation! So Cool!
Cool...what was the initial cost to get started
The incubator is around $145 total, the eggs are around $35+shipping. Will need to total up all the costs (like a light to candle the eggs and the extra thermometer/hygrometer, etc). But it's a big startup cost for the rest of the equipment since i'm not a McGuyver like you Mac! 🙂
Ok just looked around, IMHO the ballpark for everything was about $2k. And yes I need to write it down for the cost/benefit calculations.
Had to cut it short, didn't want the dog to bump the table.
Here's a shot of the eggs just after being put in the incubator. The temp made it back up to the target of 99.5 degrees. The automatic turner is turning the eggs every few hours, and humidity is good.
he wanted to play badly ! lol
🐕🐕🐕
Keep going...after the whipped cream stage it turns to butter. Yum, fresh butter is the best!👍❤️
It's delicious! 🙂
clever one☺
Peanut butter and glue traps!!
Very good☺
nice footage☺
LOL he's supposed to go in the trap, not play King of the Mountain. 🙂
