1:11 it's not imperfect, japanese doesn't have letters, it only has syllables. so Ma-Ri-O became O-Ri-Ma. since R and L are interchangeable in japanese, it became Olimar (with an added r at the end, exclusive to the translation)

I always wondered why your console wasn't an N64, since that was Nintendo's current-gen console at the time; I'm pretty sure this means the N64 is the only console not depicted in the mainline games, since it's a GameCube and Wii in later games.
