I make videos about my life in Australia. Thank you for being here 🤍
american living in australia | thoughts after coming back from the US
I am back in Australia after a month in the US for the first time in over four years. I had lots of emotions upon returning to my life abroad. Spend a weekend with me back home as I process some of the emotions that come with choosing to live a life abroad.
I talk about:
- what it's like to live abroad long-term
- how I feel about the future of living abroad
- how to find routine again
- how I'm challenging myself to try new things

Great video Kerrene. My wife is English from Kent region sth of London & moved to Perth some 20yrs ago. I am an Aussie born & bred in Perth. We have travelled extensively both within Aust & abroad. In May we went back to the UK for a wedding & then tripped around Europe for 4 weeks via the high speed Euro train network covering multiple countries . We just recently returned from two weeks in Bali as a chill out holiday. But to tell you the truth we just luv being back home in Perth. My wife worships Aussie as the golden land & idolises our lifestyle especially Perth. It hit home when we visited the UK and tripped around from Kent in the Sth to Yorkshire nth of London. UK & Europe is super expensive in every respect & crowded & hectic & stressful as to the way they live with work dominating their lives & lousy weather most of the year. Great places to visit as a tourist but not to live & work in fulltime (unless you happen to be very wealthy & can travel often. It makes us appreciate the amazing lifestyle we have in WA. We now own our home, have our 4wd & caravan all paid for and just embrace our amazing WA coastline that stretches some 13,000kms with WA being the "2nd largest State" on the planet with Sakha in Russia being the largest. Jump onto YT channel www.youtube.com/@KendallandGlenn to watch an American & her Aussie boyfriend travel Aussie and how much she just adores this country with a real passion
Mindless Tribalism comes in 4 flavours. Religion. Nationalism. Economics and Sport. Luckily Australians are only obsessed with Sport.
May the LORD bless you and keep you and your husband safe and well loved.
There is an Aussie version of the twelve days of Christmas that starts with an emu up a gum tree. There’s Six White Boomers as well. Santa’s sleigh gets pulled by six big white male kangaroos for his Australia run and just as they finish they find a baby Joey who is lost and get him to hop up on the sleigh so they can take him back to Mum.
WA has such a relaxed, peaceful vibe and some unique landscapes to see.
I was a 17 year old Aussie when I met a 19 year old Scotsman at a party and we hit it off immediately and spent the next three hours talking to each other. We married and spent more than 40 happy years together before he passed away from cancer. Wishing you a long happy life together.
That's what I do everyday trying to make feel homely, even i m living on rent with my roommates and as a student that's what I make me feel lively everyday to be in hope of going back to the home ❤
Great video! Thanks Kerrene!
Very calming vibes! Nice to hear you’re enjoying being back in Aus!
Sweatshirt only available at the Boeing store!
your vlogs are reallly calming- from one American also moving to Australia super lovely finding your video :)
Australia has health care and the citizens don't carry guns - you're on a good thing, stick to it.
I love Perth because it's so isolated from the rest of all the other cities in Australia..❤
Perth is the most isolated city on the planet. Not that it is a bad thing by any stretch of the imagination 😊. Western Australia has everything an adventurist could want. One could be forgiven for feeling like your on another planet
Love this calming little vlog, can't wait to see more 😊(Also girl, you are so beautiful!!)
Nice video 😊
if you live abroad, how often do you go home?
I really loved this! So calm

Learning takes time, be patient with yourself and accept you’ll be bad before you get better! If you can dedicate a bit more time (2 lessons a week), you’ll see yourself improve faster.
Got a really good tip for u. First thing every swimmer should learn. Especially adults & older kids. TIP: Learn how to float on your back. It's easy to do, u can float for hrs, even days. It eliminates the fear of drowning and makes the actual learning to swim so much easier & relaxed. Learning is always easier when your not worried about it killing u. 😅 Good luck
Try and relax in the water , baby steps and you'll be swimming in no time
I keep trying to remind myself to relax! thank you 😊
i love the way she talks
thank you!
