O&B Puckcast Episode #212 Morgan Eats World -The Mittlestadt or Get Krebs
Does on " assignment " mean at the horse track?
I’ll have to ask Mr Ed 🐎
Trade deadline Lsughton Johnson Risto Zumla Nicolas d Frost All can go now
You might get 3 or 4 by TDL
Bring G back for his retirement 1 year deal 😂
That 🚢 has sailed 😆
Flyers are going to have to make trades to free up space im lineup 2 defenseman got to go my opinion Andrea and drysdale need to be in lineup
I want flyers to take 3 centers snd 3 left wings in this draft
Draft the best players as the board dictates. Drafting by positions generally doesn’t work
I want laighton, risto, Johnson, zumla , ftost , farabee traded
You might get 4 out of 6 one way or another
Happy Halloween boys!! 🎃
Thanks, you too!
Penguins, Chicago, boston , tampa is who i want to be
Laughton, nicolas d, risto, zumla , farabee, johnson must go Look for young center in minors and mid age cehter 26 to 29
Michov , coots , forestor? Tipp, frost , tk Farabee. Cates aughton
I trade farabee and pick for center by trade deadline
Risto , zumla look bad I want to try Mcdonald and Andrea out
McDonald needs more seasoning
Flyers need more size too with skating ability
Jett makes flyers better
Next year. Let’s not turn him into a 3rd line center where it takes him 4-5 years to produce decent offense
@obpuckcast4794 I wondering can Jett play in reading?
Michov has 6 points point per game leads flyers He should have 7 more points if team could score from his great passes He's 5 steps ahead of theee players Danny must find talent for him Michov looks he can play with anyone and plays dirty too definitely a flyer

* Since somebody had a bit of a thrombo over a spelling mistake…The original title of tonight’s show was going to be “Flyers Capitol Crime” where that spelling of “capitol” would be correct as a play on words. When we changed the title we needed to change the “o” to an “a”….and if you’re still reading this, thanks for listening 😃
It's time to trade laughton My centers in order Frost Jett Coots Pouling can't spell his name Take big center in draft
I do like frost michov forestor line
I want Jett, michov , tk together
TK can’t play LW and MM can’t play there either. So not gonna happen right now
Every goalie gives you that one God like win Fedatov is going to give us that one game that says wow he can play give man 4 starts before we panic
Good show. Glad you are safe.
Thanks!
I am glad to see this regime being mindful of drafting players to develop. The problem in the past was not this way. The Flyers were late to the table in adjusting to the Cap. Everything now seems to be more deliberat and intentional in this rebuild. And will be this way here on out.
@@robertkirchner8857 🤞
Great show
Glad you enjoyed it!
Honestly. Russ never had any positive sound in anything flyers related. It’s always doom and gloom Especially Torts. He couldn’t say a good thing about him if you waved a bag of money in front of him.
G ONLY 100 POINT GAme WAS WITH JAGR
Look at Kaprizov as a good comparison to Michkov. It’ll take time though because KK started in the NHL when he was 23 or 24. MM is 19…www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=180678
I believe michov will be flyers all time in points passing Bobby Clarke
I think York is going to be future of team defense We still need stud number 1 d guy I believe drysdale or York can be number 2 guy So one if them will have to drop to number 3 York I feel will be 40 point guy that will be shot blocker , take away guy , leader , hard worker
An important cog in the wheel, but not a main driver
Gosh i wish fkyers got him Would have made a perfect flyer Johny will be missed he was a hockey player nothing more Seemed like a great human being
Unfortunately, the timing wasn’t right for Johnny and the Flyers. RIP
@obpuckcast4794 Even if it wasn't with Russian kid he be good guy to team with him Johnny hockey will be remembered
I feel laughton with a draft pick flyers will go out find center who can play with Russian now and young enough to be here 5 years down the road with still good enough to play with with him
So far, nothing has materialized or it probably would have happened already
the flyers didnt overthink it, you guys are doing the overthinking. we were never EVER drafting a ncaa kurt overhardt (cutter and ryan johansen) player. thats the beginning and end of it. the convo is helenius style and potential vs jetts
While I don’t doubt it was a mitigating factor, the Flyers have had problems with agents in the past - Ritch Winter for example - but eventually, those situations are worked out. If the Flyers have the opportunity to draft James Hagens next year and he’s represented by KO, they’re not going to pass.
great pod as always. excited for the draft
Thanks for listening!
38:00 the Season starts too late. Could you imagine if the NFL draft was 4 days after the Super Bowl?
They don’t want to compete directly vs the NFL, but something has to change. They should play less reg season games, but that’ll never happen
Love your podcast but as soon as I hear that Flyers hating Rags fan Russ Cohen is on I had to turn it off. Sorry.
I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure we never got Russ Cohen's pic for the Flyers at number 12 there was so many different things being brought up at a key moment I think it got lost in the shuffle
Russ ranked Tij Iginla #12 on his ranking list. Neither of them gave a mock per se, but gave a group of players that could be available, including Helenius, Yakemchuk, Catton, Sennecke and Eiserman. Thanks for listening
@@obpuckcast4794 thanks for clearing that up always enjoyed the podcast!. I would love Iginla at 12 I don't think he'll be there though. Either of the other two forwards you mentioned would be nice also!
I like to see flyers trade up move up 4 spots
Somehow get rid of risto, cam akison Without hurting cap Trade laughton Give seeler the A
Risto likely has to re-establish his value first
Wild takes out of both theses guys bonkers but everyone has their own opinions
Just curious, what was wild?
Fentili openly said he wanted to go to the Blue Jackets. Ducks weren’t smart enough to draft him then trade him for ASSETS.
Teams are usually not going to play games at the top of the draft. ANA liked Carlsson better and it wouldn’t surprise me if CBJ was indifferent…When the Flyers took Gauthier, CBJ was ready to take him if Jiricek wasn’t there. Teams usually assess their position in the draft and have a couple of guys they like for plans B & C and since those 2 centers were that close, CBJ could’ve been neutral
Hit that like & subscribe button!
I would trade TK for Buffalo's #11 and a prospect...
A good center prospect like Kulich, yes. They seem committed to signing TK though
@@obpuckcast4794 I like TK but sorry I do REALLY not want to see another huge 8 yr contract that will end with the player in their mid-30s... I'd much rather get quality assets at this point of the rebuild...
@@aqn1976Hard to disagree
TK’s worth more than that we’d be a laughing stock if we made that trade.
Exactly the Trade we need # 11 + a prospect
Flyers need 6'6 center Need 6'6 defenseman
I’d take 6’3” for either one, haha. But they have to be able to play
@obpuckcast4794 I like to find another Sam Morin
@@ericwisniewski5651 Hopefully, someone who can play at a higher level and stay reasonably healthy
I would love the Flyers to take a risk with Connelly. They have an abundance of early picks in the next few drafts anyway so why not go for upside? It looks like they’re trying to quickly rebuild and have to take some bigger risks.
Understand the sentiment, but they’ll probably have higher ceiling choices at that spot - we’ll see 🧐
Then there’s this: theathletic.com/5290107/2024/02/22/nhl-draft-prospect-trevor-connelly/
I'm hoping Helenius falls to us at 12 as I think he will be the perfect centerman for Michkov... And as an added bonus, he absolutely despises Cutter Gauthier even refusing a hand shake at the conclusion of the World Junior's finals!!! Now that's the kinda attitude that is perfect for Philly!!!
Helenius seems like a high floor pick, but without a lot of dynamic element. Maybe a smaller, but sturdier version of Coots. High hockey IQ
@@obpuckcast4794 We're gonna have to vastly agree to disagree here with Helenius my friend as I see him as the ideal ppg, play-making centerman for Michkov, but we shall see ;-) ... But also, I do hope Danny is aggressive and possibly move up to the mid to late teens to get a player with both size & upside in Beckett Senneke !
Wonder if Wayne simmonds could be a power play coach
What he did was more about hard work and determination, less about scheming
Maybe there’s true number 1 center in a teams prospect pull like minors or sonmeone in college Maybe trade some picks to get current player not in draft
Exceedingly rare. Gonna have to trade for or when they are ready, maybe UFA
Why I buy retired player jerseys now
Enjoyed as always.
Thanks for listening 👍
Hathaway has another year left and Allison is already gone…no one will take Peterson deal but he’ll be in the minors
I sign Hathaway back Alison gone Risto gone Johnson gone Staal gone Cal gone Sandstrom gone Open spots
