3:00 "I have this 'Chink' who cooks the end" They were wise enough to revise that slur on the cast album to "I have a chef who cooks the end" - which is what it should have been in the first place.. You have to ask yourself what was the purpose of the gratuitous Asian slur other than - we merely wrote it that way simply because in 1966 we could get away with it. Does nothing to elevate or improve the lyric or its understanding....just a gratuitous pot shot from an accomplished lyricist who should have known better (assuming Jack Cassidy wasn't ad libbing here and was singing the lyrics as originally written).

Wonderful songs in the classic Broadway songs - captivating tunes with lyrics that are impressive without advertising it. The story is interesting, the characters are easy to love, and the leading lady, Barbara Minkus, is a real star.

Poignant and then harrowing and heartbreaking, more affecting than the scene in the film.

My God! I've been a fan of the 'Superman' cast album for many years but it never affected me like this. You just have to see him! The talent and personality just leap off the screen. It must have been something to see him live and in person. What a tragedy that we lost him so soon and in such a manner. Hope you've found your peace, Jack!
