I knew alot about coins as a young elementary student, had my own coin books knew all the important dates for everything. I spent my weekly allowance on a coin or two from Scottsmans Coin in St.Louis. In 3rd grade in Caseyville illinois we had to give our lunch money to the teacher in the morning unless we bagged it. On the teachers desk in like 1977 was a 1966 kennedy from someones lunch money. I asked to buy it, because it was a "half.", i had some money on me. I bought it from the teacher not telling her it was a 40% but i knew it was.....my buddy, (so i thought) was saying he was going to "tell on me." What for i didnt know or understand....but he did know from me that silver showed no copper.....dont know what he knew about 40%. When he was messing with me, i opened the top on the desk and grabbed a gold crayon from my desk and under the desk i rimmed it with a gold crayon on the rim side that was a little dark. And i showed it to him telling him i was wrong its not silver. Cant beleive he was making an issue, not sure the teacher would have messed with me but i still have that 1966 half in my loose bulk silver. Probably still has some crayon on it. Then in like 2002 at the new McDonalds on Fulton Ind. West side of Atlanta the change from my breakfast sounded silver and i asked to buy the remaining quarters, got like 8 or 10 silver quarters from McDonalds. Those are my only two times in my life.

Idk if you're aware but it appears when ya'll weren't paying attention some ya'lls winter got out and its way down here in gulf shores alabama,done ran amuk through,fla,Mississippi,& Louisiana .as much as we love when company visits ,please can you come get it , it was beautiful ,but its just not for us...thanks .stop by n have a glass sweet tea..but then collect your northern winter and get it out of here please...❤
