    I wish there was a way to find the right affirmation for myself. There are so many out there but I feel they can be so intense.

      It helped me to start with my limiting beliefs and feelings that are unhelpful or hold me back. For example, I suffer from anxiety so my very favorite affirmation is “All is well and I am safe”. It’s very soothing and maternal which helps me a lot. ❤

      Dating Without Fear is one of the best books I've read on the topic :) It's about dating anxiety - but applies to social anxiety generally.

    Once again a great video! I feel this setup to be the best among different video recording types you have. It looks more natural and shows your hand movements as well, seems like having a real conversation. If possible, try to push the mic to side as much as possible and upgrade the quality to 1080p :)

    This clicked in so many ways for me. I often have these slumps. I'm also often really tired. I didn't really know why. I never thought there was some sort of medical reason and I also sleep enough. But I ruminate a lot and I can also be a litle hard on myself and that's probably making me tired. I'm starting to be easy on myself, also when I'm in a slump. And often I get myself moving with simple/easy things to get myself out of the slump. And today I was thinking to look for some meditation suitable for rumination. And a lot of what you say fits with this.

    I've been dealing with several areas in my life and feeling like I want more ease and flow in them. I keep trying to force things and it is not helping. Now surrendering, that sounds like the word that would fit. I also loved your Desperate Energy one, but I'm taking this one as yet another (!) reminder to surrender me trying to take control and see what happens next.

    Love this kind of video, helping get out of the emotional slumps instead of 'leaning into them'. Another way of paying attention to thoughts can be when doing mindless work, like dishes or raking a yard, where your body is busy just enough that you have to pay attention, but you can still let your mind wander. That was a way for me to really see how varied my thoughts are and how they 'flow' from one random thing to another, from one negative feeling to a more positive feeling, etc. I've been doing that kind of work lately and you pointing it out just made me realize how I've been noticing that.

    Usually when I think of “thought rivers” I picture them flowing, one (or hundreds) passing by at varying speeds. Those slump inducing thoughts are like big rocks in the river. They can stack up and create a dam. Name it something more neutral - sticky thought #1, pick it up and set it on the bank, let the thoughts continue to flow. Fresh ideas and happier/more fun thoughts are always there, if we open our hearts and minds to see/feel them. Really liked this content today. Thank you for the work you put into sharing what you learn on your life journey.

    I have been loving your recent short videos with one key idea! Your insights are great and I love how we get to sit with one idea and mull it over for a week - it makes me feel like those “10 ways to do this” videos that collect them all are almost doing a disservice to each individual idea.     Oh, this made me laugh because just this morning I wrote in my journal that I am done with looking for the perfect way to manage my home. I need to pick one way and stick to it long enough to see if it works for me. No more researching or planning. Just pick one and live my life. If I don't like it after a reasonable amount of time, I can change it. I have the power to change it. There is more than one way to do things, but I need to pick one and stick to it.

    I have a stutter. It wasn't investigated or treated when I was young and I've only recently been able to label it as a stutter. Previously I just thought I was stupid, lazy or plain inadequate. Turns out, it's a stutter. Just a stutter. It's normal (for me), and it carries no value judgements on me as a person or on my intelligence. The same goes for many other labels I put on myself. Once we investigate to find the cause, we can address or reframe it in a healthy way. I really appreciated this video, thanks!

    How do I dismantle my parents 😭😅 In all seriousness though I wonder if I should dismantle the way I interact with them? The way that trauma impacts other areas of my life? It’s one of my biggest roadblocks. I think it’s time for some trial and error!! Also I love how the diagram shows connections between the different corners. Thanks for explaining this so clearly 💕

    I decide on the goals to focus on (my plans for the year) then I create strategies to make them happen. I review weekly, monthly, quarterly, mid-year and tweak whatever strategy is not working/could be improved.
