More cray less kinas
What’s your breath hold time while hunting crays brother… and depth
Sweet bugger all bro maybe 30-50 seconds depth is 5-14m for the crays
what year model is that?
Hey man it's the 2024 Stella 10000SW
Awesome conditions. Well done guys.
Glad you enjoyed it! Finally some Good Conditions
What an absolute champion Thomas, you don't need two legs when you have the willpower and mental integrity of two men. Cheers Rowan for spurring him on. I always enjoy watching your footage, you hit some pretty epic spots and never fail to impress.
Thanks man yeah Thomas did soooo well was inspiring to see
Kia Ora wha now😂 wha no is a better pronunciation bro
Question , the little boat you guys put your catch in, has cover so they don't escape , do you have name for those little rafts? tks have not seen those on the states....
Good job mate. I'm also owned 2024 2050 in USA. I love my boat.
Hey bro im from teh wellington area just starting to get into diving what ear plugs do you use and sny advise will help cheers bro
Chuck it on heavy gear and drop 100m out milford
Yeah it's more getting a camera case! The $15 wish one isn't probably good at that depth
Yeah bro i have found that in the stright
Hi Rowan I’ve done the same but I put a keel on the camera mount to stop it spinning that way I can drift and cover more territory Best part is not just the species you see but understanding what you see on the sounder Great stuff Cheers from cross the ditc
Thanks man! Just working threw the prototypes
Fish definitely identify the camera lens as an eye. When I was snorkeling in the Caribbean there were these skittish fish i think they were Palometas? If you looked at them they would shoot off in a different direction, i noticed it was the same if you pointed the camera at them (but you didnt look).
Who asked Go eat burgers
New boat?
🤙😎
Sweet mate
Nice day for a barbie 🤙🥰
any tips on hand grabs, I'm terrible I miss so many or come up with horns only
Strike further back on the cray then you think. Don't aim for the horns aim for halfway down its back. And don't hesitate. As soon as you see it grab it. Otherwise it has time to start retreating
That’s awesome
Nice catch
Massive kingies
thats a mean as kingy
Leave fish on hill ..not your home not your fish .go further for them b nice seeing ya got dinge
you alright mate? not sure what your getting at?
Great day out fellas , I cracked a 3.95 out of the pot couple years ago but haven’t made 4 yet , I’m curious how long and how did you cook him ? Cheers from South Australia
hey man this fella was spared cooking and is off to be taxidermied. However most of those big fellas I slice in half and heaps of butter and cook on the BBQ
Awesome work, water looks mint
Awesome video man!
What an awesome haul of crayfish. Well done. 👍😀
Thanks! Truly is a magic part of the country!
You make it look too easy good vis big crays thanks for sharing. I've gotta get back down south. I missed out on diving while I was down there a fortnight ago the bluff oysters were tasty though.
Haha plenty of misses and wasted trips go into trips like this!
Nice one lads 👍🏻
Cray slayers🤟🏾🥷🏽
Hey Rowan I'm wanting to get into free diving/spear fishing eventually but keen to start on crayfish etc I'm just wanting to know how long do you need to hold your breath on a dive like what should a good dive be I watch your videos and it looks like your down for ages etc ??
Hey mate probably Seems longer due to editing. On average we would be 30-60 seconds a dive when cray hunting.
@mahiaboi oh really I was thinking 2/3mins I've been practicing can get around 2mins breath hold hahaha cheers for the reply 👍
What's the name of the band?
Ohlala , tous les ormeaux !!! 😨
Another great video Rowan. Just subscribed.
good stuff cheers Rowan
brilliant
Hello, new subscriber here and I just wanted to say WOW! I love these types of videos. Thanks for sharing and please keep videos like these coming.
Another great video. Cheers fella. Just need to catch some blue cod first 🤣
Nice day out! Did you rig up the jack flash "wrong" on purpose? Hooks are supposed to go on the top split ring where you tie on, but I'm wondering if it becomes too hard for a blue to swallow..
Yeah man this was the issue we had when we tried last time with it we had two the first was setup in the normal with hooks top and we did have a lot of luck. We lost it in foul and someone just setup the other not thinking and it slayed up
@@mahiaboi yeah they're hungry buggers, probably don't care much about where the hook goes!
Mean crays boys👌
Thanks bro!
Nice crays and what a fat Kina nice vis do the seals ever bite you
Mint day bro! New cap looked sharp 🤙🏾
Appreciate it!!
Nice new subscribe 👍🏼 from Philippines 🇵🇭
Thanks for subbing!
Looking good fella. Love the look of the new boat
Thanks man she is definitely a beast!
Why smash them? Most people just eat them. BTW Are you gay or is that just how you dress in that part of New Zealand?
Churr bro bought a lot of gear off you getting all the kids into diving . Finally got my own stabicraft
Epic lads, certainly wasn't that fishy when I was there at Xmas. Awesome clip.
