I’m a fan, but the Recording Academy made the right call. Milli Vanilli’s record label Arista in the liner notes of their record releases made everybody believe that Rob & Fab were the singers. The Recording Academy likely felt that Rob & Fab and the studio singers couldn’t make a full impact as Milli Vanilli without being entirely dependent on each other and that the studio singers were just as guilty of willingly going along with the charade.

i think society back then was too harsh to artists. I learnt about Milli Vanilli from my parents and its surprising how they didnt bounce back with such an amazing song like this. If i were alive in this era i would've supported them

I've watched countless hours of these two but I just noticed something. Rob always took the lead in talking because Fab was introverted and Rob was extroverted. But whenever Fab says something, the slightest thing, Rob just stops talking. Fab could have said a whole lot more because Rob would have let him, he just opts not to. That's some classy shit right here. Rob wouldn't interrupt in their press conference, either. They are both incredibly polite and well-mannered. Americans really are a bunch of clods compared to these guys, and most of Europe... What a gift they were. Damn.

I don’t understand how that interview and performance didn’t clear their name. They explained everything to the best of their ability, made it clear they were conned without dodging responsibility, proved they can sing and rap live and put on a kickass performance, and that dancing prowess was NEVER a question. We should still have Rob today and countless more hits. People really suck for what they did to these extremely beautiful men. Rest in peace and power Rob !💕
It's called a Cabal. Hollywood operates like the Mafia. If they don't want you, you are black-balled into extinction; we know it as getting "canceled" these days. Movie studios and "news" outlets are owned by the same people. The mistake these men made was trying to force the producer Farian to do their bidding. Guess who was going to get taught a lesson? Farian already made half a Billion dollars off these two...he was ok with blowing it up to teach them a lesson. Farian was responsible for everything that happened to Rob. He's dead literally because of him. He's the one who gave him a large amount of cash the day he overdosed...money he had not had in a long time...what could possibly go wrong with a recovering addict and a significant amount of money???

The problem by that point is no major record label at least thought them or their music was good enough. That song was the only single from the Rob & Fab self-titled album and the record label that did release the album was a tiny one that couldn’t afford to promote it or even print out a suitable amount of records. The record label filed for bankruptcy not too long after and It’s been said the album only sold 2,000 copies. Also, by the time Rob & Fab did this, it had been two years since Milli Vanilli were exposed as lip-synchers and the record-buying public is fickle and moved on to different music.

I took my son & daughter to see them in concert. First concert for both of my children.. I'll never ever forget their excitment. We all three sang, dance, Celebrated with them! I also loved them and wasn't ashamed to admit we went and ya know it may not of been their voices but everything else they did was their performance all the way until their voice! They shouldnt have gone down the way it happened. Someone should have step up for them. RIP Rob
This is a sad story. Two talented, young men with a dream were totally taken advantage of. Frank is a snake. A precious life Fab was lost and both of their lives and what could have been was also lost. Both could sing, such a waste. I am glad Rob was able to go on and rebuild his life. RIP Fab.❤
