My first truck was a 1975 Datsun 620. I had it for 22 years till it was stolen in Phoenix. I drove it all over Washington state, Idaho, Montana, and down to Missouri. My dream is to find another one.....Great job Joel, nice truck!

Love all your videos Joel. Very informative. I have a 79 620 here in the UK. It has the original J15 engine in it and has the same Carb as you have on this truck. Where can I get a manual for it? I need to do a tune as it's running way too rich and the idle speed is way to high. Is there an online manual/guide? Or, even who makes it? Cheers.

Hey mate did you have any issues with the cotter pin alignment on the axle nut? I’ve just fitted a set and I feel the hole in the stub end could have been a little further forward to allow it to pass through easier. 10:22

Have a datsun 620 with wooden bed. Gearing is so low that you can start moving from the third… I guess you just gave me the idea of changing the gearing ratio. Thank you

Oh man, don't do triple Webers...I had some on my '71 Z, and they wouldn't stay in tune because of the looong linkage for them. I threw the stock SU carbs on, and had zero problems with them. I wish I still had my '71, it was an awesome car.

Nice truck! I have a 79 King Cab I'm rebuilding. It's a retirement project for me. It has a Weber carb on it now but I like the look of the two side drafts. How do you like them now that you've had some time with them?

I appreciate your efforts with the speed sensor and trying to keep the OE look in that old cab, but man, I swapped to a gps-equipped speedo in my 620 and I'll never think about it again lol

Clean truck needs the valves to be adjusted I have a 78 my booster is the bigger one and man it’s annoying I had to find intake that worked

Nice truck in good condition. I bought one new in 78 and a year later I moved from the east coast to Alaska in it. It hated starting in the real cold weather even with heaters. Other than that I love it. Oh I drove from the east coast to Alaska in five days doing over 80 much of it. I had a CB and truckers would warn me of any smokies.
