Thanks for this, did exactly this route 2 weeks ago but in 45mph gales and torrential rain so it was to see the views we missed. Amazing coincidence that High Hartsop Dodd was also my 107th Wainwright. Happy Fell walking!
You should continue to make more videos mate
One of my favourites
Hi sid tou retrace tour way back if not what was your route to get back to the car park please
I have the exact same route planed but will make sure it is early in the year before the ferns are too high and in a dry spell as well. Canny walk that, cheers Alan
Well done for climbing Eagle Crag via the terraces , just a heads up you can continue up Green up Gill and fford the beck once you get to the moraines and then head up on a faint track to back of Eagle Crag and you come to a stile cross over the wall and voila you can gain Eagle Crag top really easy , great video
That sounds handy Tracey - it's not on the OS map, so could you let me know the approx contour line I need to be turning right at to head presumably NW up towards Pounsey Crag then Eagle please? :-)
Another great video. Thanks.
Loved this video, hope you have a lovely weekend debs xx.....
This scenery is amazing! Thanks for sharing your adventure 😻🐦
Wonderful Eagle crags !! Nice walking🚶 wonderful background!! Greetings dear friend💐🤝🤝 🤎💚💙🔔🔔🔔🙏
Many thanks for this video. We did this walk today and adding on Bannerdale Crags. Cracking day in the Lakes!
Well done Ivan!!! Beautiful views. Thanks for sharing
Good job you like a challenge!

Wow that's amazing video and I really enjoyed watching it. New subscriber here from #RTBL
Thanks. So glad you enjoyed it
Hi Ivan, Well done on ascending Eagle Crag up the nose. I did it last year in September, and went around the back as tbe Bracken was so high. I still have Ullscarf, Sergeant Mam and High Raise to do in the central fells, which will be a long day out with Gaiters on :0) Gteat video. Atb Andy H
Thanks Andy. Ullscarf from Sergeant Crag was horrible. I got 3 boot fulls! I remember thinking on the way down I need to get some gaiters. Cheers, Ivan
@@Ivesylew When I don’t take my gaiters I always have a spare pair of socks to change into which normally means my foot is dry again. 😋
Congrats on this walk. I have a sense of dread about doing Eagle Crag, I might go up and round the back also.
@@horsforthhe Hiya. Going up the nose was nowhere near as bad as I expected. The worse bit was the climb up through all the ferns, especially in the wet.
I've just done Eagle Crag (up the sccramble), Seargants Man, High Raise and Ullscarf today. Very boggy after Ullscarf and very steep on way down. Fab day though.
I always go up from Patterdale but all routes lead to the top and must admit I love Hartsop Village as well. Good to hear you watched my video of Place Fell, always been one of my favourite summits. Looked a nice walk up from the village and the weather seemed to be getting better the higher you went, as always the view down over Glenridding and Ullswater was awesome! Cheers Alan
Thanks Alan. I watched your video on the Go-Pro 10 with the new creator pack. I use a Rode wireless mic but is the mic in the creator pack any good?
One I have not done before, so a real interesting watch for me and I think I would have taken the same route as you too. Always nice to get a free park as well, so one I will be doing soon, cheers Alan
Thanks Alan. Just come down from Place Fell after your recommendation. It's my new favourite fell!
Better weather than when I was last there but still brought back great good memories for me. We started on The Knott first but missed out Angletarn Pikes, which I have still not done yet buy funny enough we also did 10 miles as well. You were right that was Place Fell there and well worth a look up, one of the best views over Ullswater (imo) and a real nice summit cairn too. Cheers Alan
Thanks Alan. Place Fell might be next on the list although I watched your video on Ulloch Pike et al and I want to try to finish the Northern Fells this year and the thee on that ridge are on the list as well. Ivan
Nice hike. Wishing you a great day.
2 more in the bag...well done...keep going...it took me 17 years to do them...no hurry.
Another great hike 👍 Take care and cya
I parked in the layby, I think you parked in, last January doing the other side of the road (and pub) to do the Greenburn Round. Despite missing your turn, all ended up good and a real nice walk up there, never been on Seat Sandal before, so nice to see it and one to do this year for me. Must remember not to miss that turn ha! cheers Alan
Nice hike. New sub. Thank you for sharing. Wishing you a wonderful day.
Agree 100%! The one place on earth I never get sick of, cheers Alan
Been again today 17th April - to Rest Dodd and The Nab before Angletarn Crags - great weather and good for the soul (but not the legs!).
@@Ivesylew - hopefully you got some nice weather. I finished on Brock Crags after we did The Knott, Rest Dodd and The Nab, in miserable weather last November lol!
@@AlanMETALMAN Had a gorgeous day weatherwise today. 9 or 10 degrees until I got to Angletarn when the fleece had to come off
A beautiful day out...and quiet too...keep plugging away at them Wainwrights...it took me 17 years to do them the first time round
loved hearing your thoughts....its a little bit of heaven
Thanks - hope you are well

THANKS YOU FOR SHARING THIS VIDEO
Glad you enjoyed it. Not managed to get back to the Lakes since but are planning the next walks for when we can
Thanks for your sub my friend ! nice week Stay connected 🔆🔆😷
Done the same route twice before and had the same weather as you, the first time but with gale force winds and then no wind but a lot of mist the second time, about two months ago. Cracking views once the hard work is done and nice to have some company as well, cheers Alan
Thanks Alan. The trawl back to Honister from Robinson was the worst bit. Next time I'd drop into Buttermere and get the bus. Thanks for subscribing. I hope to get back to the Lakes soon
Enjoyable watch...hoping to do these fells next week on our holiday...[ new sub ]
Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for subscribing. Hope you have a great holiday and enjoy Burnbank fell, it's a great walk.
Hi Ivan , nice walk with some good views once you got through Holme Wood. Cheers. Eddie.
Thanks Eddie. Your videos have been our companion during the lockdowns. We've both gone into 3 figures of Wainwrights this year and your videos have helped us appreciate where we are (as well as using Viewranger!)
@@Ivesylew Thanks Ivan, sounds like you are both doing well with the Wainwrights. Yes, Viewranger is a handy tool! Thanks for the sub, I have done likewise to follow your adventures. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.
