Sometimes I think that the comments posted here in memoriam are silly, as the departed will most likely never read them. But I’ve been a bit of a hypocrite in that sense, as I have instead buried your memory within me and tried to move on without you, trying not to remember, even if the history we shared and the time we spent as friends is still written and saved. For that, I’m sorry. I hope you can forgive me, wherever you are. Half a year has passed since the last time we talked. Even more time has passed since the last time I heard your voice. Knowing that, even though I still have the memories, vivid as they are, I will still forget you in time is more painful than I could have ever imagined. To say I am used to losing people would be a lie. It never gets easier. But I know you wouldn’t want me to cry, or apologize. You would want me to stay strong, and pick the pieces of myself back up again. I miss you, man. I have so many regrets, the should haves or could haves, but they don’t mean anything compared to how much our friendship meant to me. Thank you for everything, KDA. I hope I can see you again in the next life.

I could easily imagine a badass anime scene of Naoya and his team facing off against Takahisa Kandori. He would probably avoid all of their attacks, knowing he has Lovecraftian god as his persona.
