If I had to take a guess, I think they scrapped this to focus more on Wolverine, as well as possibly taking story elements from this game to put into Spider-Man 3. Besides, multiplayer games are often not the best.

People need to UNDERSTAND this was created by a couple people. Sony didn't cancel it they chose not to fund it. Remember at this point mile morales wasn't even out. Of you also look at teh investor briefing it would have had micro transactions since they showed it as that. It would be a cool concept but also isn't. Concord might be shit but remember that game was in development for years when games like that where popular. Like people said if that game was released 5 years ago it would have done well. Short summary game would ve full of micro transactions if it wqs made because it would be the creative team qho would have got control. They wanted to create something big but not interested in it over time.
