The Dallas was a Virginia class submarine hunting the Red October with a silent caterpillar drive. Now we capable of singing as loud as possible inside the sub and not be detected. 🤭
that's if the yanks and the brits do not decide to sink that deal
New Helos are so so expensive, compared to when these were purchased.

How come so many Israeli armored vehicles have been lost recently then??
"Only operational and most advanced system" does not equate to actually being all that good. APS setups have limited ammunition and a fairly narrow 'sweet spot' for the kinds of things it can intercept and can be easily overwhelmed by multiple incoming threats. An APS setup is more like giving yourself a 20% chance to ignore damage from an attack. It's enough to matter when you look at hundreds of vehicles all using it, but not a guarantee for *each* vehicle.
Different reasons, sometimes because the system was not active in some of the pictures of destroyed vehicles i saw, in other times the system was just overwelmed, you can do that in diffent ways, fire more missiles than than the APS has interceptors or so many at the same time, that the system can't defend against all of them.
There were 2 scenarios; 1. The APS was not Active at the time of engagement . 2. Over the Top Attack : Israeli Trophy is only effective for sideways attack not from above. So if you fly a drone above the tank and drop projectile like in Ukraine then the APS will be ineffective
Because its only gimmick.
Because in a War you tend to lose Equipment no matter how good it is or superior to your Enemy, none are invincible 'Game changers'.
Do Merkava's have Trophy APS??
Yes
They have, but as you know its useless
@@GoodLookingGentlemen you must be qn expert

Nice gift for Ukraine 😂😂
Maybe when Poilievre becomes PM a Canadian Patrol Submarine Fleet will become a reality, Trudeau won’t be here much longer.
STOP with this BULLSHIT DEI. Men are men and women can't do it the same. If you know you're going to get into a fight, would you take your wife or your crazy big brother? Me too.

What if these attacks were happening in your land against your people? Israel wants to live in Peace, but they are being attacked constantly by Muslim extremists those same Muslim extremists shout every day death to Israel death to America death to England is it that you think they don’t mean it and they’re not going to come after you because they surely will. Muslim extremism must be stopped or it’s going, to attack you, your way of life and your children’s future❤DALE.

This is a 1980's British Destroyer. Please allow the CANADIAN people to not have to endure this type of Bullshit.
The next version should be called the scuttlefish.
Also we need to pay for a House with 2 Bedrooms, only $250 000. For a Flat with 2 Bedrooms only $125 000. For a Car $18500. The Centrelink should pay $1500 / 2 Weeks. For a House pay only $150 a Week for 2 Bedroom and Flat only $75 a Week for 2 Bedroom. Not Work to Pay someone else's Mortgage and every year there is an Increase in Rent. Also Minimum Wage should be $75 000 Dollars. Electricity, Gas, Water, Rates should be 50 0/0 Less. We make A lot of Money from Exports. If the Government can do that we will become the Best Cantry in the World. But One Very Important Factor. Do not Bring More People in the Cantry, only 50 000 / Year. Build more Houses, Flats, Factories and Hospitals.
The only thing that surprises me with these interoperability exercises is that this is the first time for Canada & a non-US country. You'd think our navy would have already gone through it with the Aussies, NZ, UK and at least half the other NATOs, and maybe Japan. Well if not, they should put it on the to-do list.
Trudeau just blew our tax dollars on a big upgrade on a 35 year old scow. Nice. Small minded ways won't get you to the NATO 2% he so struggles with. Hopes he can hide under the USA protection umbrella. The new subs will never happen either. Everytime we look at new, he faints.
Re-supplied, not rearmed...more AI fails...
The need for more warships is evident, and the Halifax class has proven to be a reliable ship. I can't wait to see the new Canadian warship, known as the River Class Destroyer, out on patrol.
'Canada successfully rearmament HMCS Vancouver in Australia' - WHAT? Who wrote this title? If it was a non English speaker, it's understandable - but there are some pretty decent translation apps around that can do better than that.
It's an AI, so I guess its first language is machine code.
restocking it's Australian defence system they use, so does American Arleigh Burke destroyers and all aircraft carriers. These use the VLS system to launch so is probably what it is. Or sea sparrow missiles that Australia co developed with USA also use the VLS system.
hmcs vancouver does not have vls weapons.
does so has sea sparrow missiles using VLS and Australia co developed the sea sparrow missile and all Canadian navy use a Australian defense system also that uses the VLS system.
Take 5 seconds to google before making an incorrect "statement". HMCS Vancouver has Sea Sparrow missiles. The ESSM is a Vertically Launched System.
Yeah, it’s a Mk48 VLS. It’s not the typical Mk41 VLS that everyone thinks about when they think VLS
@@tedmarr3966 The Sea Sparrow SAM on HMCS Vancouver (and other Halifax-class frigates) are mounted on the port side of the hangar, I believe. As you wrote, this VLS system is different from the usual Mk41 VLS which is mounted in the hull forward of the superstructure.
Wait, *both* genders? That’s not very 2024 of you.
Warmonger = best name eve for a navy ship
Warramunga.
AI's don't mince words, eh? 😁
A slow pace to acquire new subs never had a good outcome. The four Upholder class will be retired before any new subs will be ready.
And as with the Gepard , it can switch to ground attack at the flip of a switch, giving a dual role capability.
With what exactly? The "Oberon" are beached. The latest greatest need several over-hauls. Maybe 2037.
Nah the real timeline is 2045 and cost 50% more
Bom
They're just stalling buying the boats, typical federal government, South Korean KSS3 are available now as is the Spanish Issac Peal subs and the French subs, this is all just federal government bullshit stalling because they are so cheap, they have been planning for new subs for years so there's no excuse for delaying getting new subs.
I served along side these helps for many years. Always trusted it. Canadian Army Vet
2037 will be to little to late
Hopefully they won’t end up with an orphan class. I think they learned their ‘lessons’ on this. That being said, leaning towards the SAAB model C71. German 212CD seems ‘smallish’, but they have an unquestionable wealth of technological expertise (like the Swedes) in this area. SK Jangbo class looks interesting with VLS (do we need it?) but they can build boats pretty quick by most accounts. Suffren option would be very ‘politicalized’ in this stupid 🇨🇦 of ours, not sure about Taigei in our waters. S80 is a brand new machine, not sure of 🇪🇸 expertise here. We don’t need problems. We need proven stuff that works. The biggest problem will be procurement and Canadianization to NATO specs with the product.. Fingers crossed 😉
The most advanced sub is the Taigei class from Japan. Considered by the experts to be the most advanced. Also they have dropped the AIP as they have perfected the lithium Ion to the point that they are confident that it is safe from the dangers of fire.
Sweden has not finished designing the C71 as yet. It is still a concept (paper) sub
The KSS 111 is my 2nd choice out of these choices.
The type we need for under ice operation is nuclear powered submarines. That is experts talking. Conventional designs are only capable of “near or at edge of ice” capable.
They should look at the South Korean KSS3, or the Spanish Issac Pearl/S80 sub, the Spanish sub can go down to at least 1800 feet the deepest of all the diesel electric subs that's really good and puts it down by the nuclear subs for depth, the KSS3 is good but can only go down to around 1100 feet, but you can get vertical launchers if you want and has 3 engines, diesel electric AIP and lithium ion all on 1 sub so a lot of advantages there, the German and SAAB are still on the drawing boards but almost finished, the French subs are the same as the Australians were going to buy, diesel electric and AIP, not sure how good those would be based on the nuclear sub barracuda class? maybe they should get 2 different boats, the south Korean and Spanish subs would be a good mix and complement each other very well, I think.
Right, they'll be two years late and $2 billion over budget...if we're lucky.
Oh, they will be late alright, considering that it's the federal government that screws up everything military.
Old British that they sent to Us. Billions and never see the water. Germany makes a very nice Hydrogen powered silent one. Just saying..
@@chrismair8161 To small the navy wants around 3000+ tons for long range.
Submarines aren't your weekend sailboat, they are very complicated pieces of kit, and therefore it takes a lot of planning to make sure you've got it right, just look at the Victoria Class boats, they were never mean to sail the Atlantic or Pacific Oceans, they were North Sea boats.
That is not true, one was deployed to the Indian Ocean, they also were in the Mediterranean Sea and the middle east. They are a long range submarine designed as a blue water submarine (designed after the Trafalgar class) with many common parts and components. They were state of the art and leading edge. They also had mine laying capabilities and fired the harpoon missile which was removed by Canada when we bought them.
Got to be the most boneheaded DEI experiment ever.
Why not order 6 more vessels keep Australian workers in jobs protect Australian waters a vessel with heavy defence weapons
Does the vessel have any defence weapons?
My brother worked on this sub . Amazing 🇺🇸🤘
The navy might as well hand over the keys of the sub to the Chinese or Russians. Actually, it already has with Mark Milley and the Bidens. For now on, the navy should wave white flags instead of American flags. Thank you navy for destroying this country in the name of DEI.
