Hello. I'm Filipino-American. My parents immigrated from the Philippines, and I was born in America. Our parents teach us only English because they want us to be successful in America. But we want to learn about the Philippines as well. After reading the comments, I became very sad. Why are Filipino-American people not welcome to learn Tagalog? We want to study the Filipino language. I studied Tagalog for a year, and I speak the language pretty okay. We Filipino-Americans want to study the culture and language of the Philippines, but you Filipinos are being rude towards us. Why don't you Filipinos like us? You do not accept us. If we are not allowed to learn Tagalog, please do us a favor and never speak OUR language again, which is English. So, please don't be rude to us. Please allow us to learn Tagalog freely without any judgement. Thank you.

I was born and raised in the Philippines and I find it shameful that Filipino parents who immigrated abroad didnt teach their children filipino. Language is part of their culture. If they lost it they will lost the culture forever and you will never bring back it again. So please teach them before its too late. And believed me this is not just happening in the west. Its happening in every part of the world filipino in it. SHAME!

Reading and speaking a filipino dialect are two different words. These guys are not Filipinos by heart because it sounds like they don't know how to pronounce the words properly. For sure they don't know what they're talking about. Shame on these kids and your parents for not teaching your supposedly bloodline's language. 🤢

Why are some of Filipinos here who are raised in different countries say “I speak better Tagalog than them”? We should be encouraging these guys to learn the language and praise them for at least trying. I was born and raised in the Philippines and I speak fluent Ilongo (I can understand Tagalog but I speak it broken) so when I learned English, I can see why it would be difficult for English speaking kids to learn Tagalog. It sucks that the parents didn’t teach their kids the language but it’s all because of culture sadly. I hope these kids learn their language and proudly say “Filipino ako”.

This video is not funny at all. Filipino is such a beautiful language. It's connected to your origins and culture. I am always amazed whenever foreigners know hot to speak Tagalog or even Bisaya. Study how to speak Filipino, nakakahiya smh

What a shame, not knowing your roots or Languages of ones origin..I have white European friends who speak almost fluent Tagalog and Visaya, and they now frequent the Philippines, since 2015..Proud to be a Pinoy and love our culture, even if I'm the only Pinoy in my work and neighbourhood in the U.K., I still embrace and educate my friends about Philippines, and they keep coming back for more..Parents must also take part of the blame..😏
