I feel like Babylon 5 and SG1 would flop today if they were a fresh/new IP. Mind you, I love B5, but its mostly through the glasses of nostalgia that I can see the good stuff about how they question good and evil, about getting past war and past hatred, how some can, some can't... but then I try to watch an episode or two again and I see the bad stuff that nostalgia forgot about... haha. In a time when there was limited access to ANY scifi/fantasy, its easier to accept campy/bad scifi/fantasy.

Halo 4 is flawed, but still a good game. Halo 5 is bad, but could be worse. Halo infinite is so bad I'd rather play Halo 5.

You should increase the music volume

1. Voice versus the music in this needs to be rebalanced. 2. The people writing new Star Wars know next to nothing about real world history, so creating fictional galactic history is going to be problematic at all times. 3. Again, writers, assume that the Emperor being gone meant the Empire in effect is gone, which is just plain silly if you count the number of loyalists there are out there. 4. The New Republic in the Mandalorian are hinted as being extremely incompetent and out of touch with reality, just like it's predecessor, the Old Republic. 5. If we are lucky they are making the New Republic seem stupid in order to cut a path towards the Fel Empire (the arguably less evil and far more practical successor to the Empire).

Star Wars: The Old Repuplic is definitely one of my favorite games. The only thing I don't like about it is you can't get past level 60 unless you pay money for the next story arc, which is just wrong in my opinion. I mean players should at least be able to do things like bounties or sub-missions or something to that effect so that if they can't buy the next story arc right away at least they have something to do and still level up and not be halted with nothing to do in the entire game.

As large as the Galactic Empire was, there's no logic in how it completely collapses at Jakku. Histroically, the Roman Empire had several economical, wartime, and political setbacks in it's entire 1,000 year history. Disney just wanted a clean slate post Return Of The Jedi to create their own stories. With so much Expanded Universe content around, it was quite insulting.

Honestly, the Federation of Star Trek is in so many cases just as ineffective as the new republic. That scene with Baylan Skoll and his apprentice would go down very similarly if that was a Federation ship from Star Trek that he was on.

So basically Kyle Katarn is not canon cause of me. When I was 14 I called Dave Fillonis office to see if I could get him to canonize Kyle katarn. I called his office got his secretary and told her I was his cousin from Canada and I really need to speak with Dave filoni I was in a bad car accident. I got through, confessed the truth, and obviously he didn’t really like me saying any of that cause upon asking my request he told me “because of this, Kyle Katarn will never be canon. I’m sick of this shit”. I’m sry Star Wars community for ruining Star Wars.

Marvel's Star Wars comics of the '70s and '80s were very campy, but they had lots of great concepts in them. I'd to see those comics mined for stories and characters.

Legends did have its own bad stories and rehashes, but the authors clearly were trying, and on the whole I think it is vastly superior to what Disney has done - most of which is just stolen from Legends given a woke paintjob and they pretend it wasn't, with the whole "Star Wars has no source material crap." And why did they make the empire no longer sexist? It being sexist made it extra villainous.

Just a friendly suggestion: you should try using headphones or ear buds while editing your videos. This will help you avoid having the music drown you out at certain times. We need more male heroes and female heroes working together on equal yet respective terms in fiction and reality. Heroes that do not devalue masculinity or femininity and even uplift one another. Those are the kind for everyone to look up to.

America needs a real cultural mythology that isn't "let's remake something from the past" and "add American wingnut politics into it".

The purple-haired writer-activists have to stop writing themselves in the script, with their Mary Sue concept of heroes and their hatred of men. I'm including the soy-boy writers in that description by the way. Humiliating and destroying male heroes does not elevate the prospective female hero. It just looks vengeful and mean. What positive or interesting thing was added to the movies that humiliated Indiana Jones or slandered Han Solo before he was impaled and tossed off a cliff? James Bond riding bitch on a scooter? The current female heroes have no development or arcs. Unlike, say, Ripley from Aliens. Todays' heroine is perfect, knows everything, is a hand to hand combat expert, marksman, genius engineer, pilot, etc, right off the bat and does not develop. Development makes a character and the plot interesting . So does failure, struggle, challenges. Modern heroine are ugly. The actresses, moderately attractive are uglified and any trace of a womanly shape is verboten. Rey? Rose? Admiral Purple hair? Ugly. They are written as men, not women. Writers are constrained by the politically correct and feminist perception of women so yes, they are sexless, humourless Mary-Sues. Capt Marvel for example. Want to write a woman? Look at Jodie Foster in Maverick. As conniving, ruthless and rotten as any man around that poker table but in a very Southern Belle feminine way (wich was also an act) that she exploits to the max. She doesn't need a gun and she doen't need to know how to Kung-Fu.

I really enjoyed this video! The only critique I have is from the production side; the music can get a bit loud compared to your voice when it swells, making it a bit difficult to hear. Outside of the music concerns, I really enjoyed hearing and thinking about your take!
