Unfortunately, Alicia Online experienced a major server crash on 9th of July, which the team has been working on ever since. So far, they have not yet managed to get the server up and running again, and unfortunately the game remains inaccessible until then. The team mentions in the comments on Facebook that the worst damage has been repaired and the server could be back online soon. I will make a video about it, as it has been down for more than 2 months now.

I also had to approve the download before it started because the antivirus mistakenly flags the files as trojans. Maybe that's the case for you too?

The current version is maintained by fans. There is only one server, which they run privately out of their own pockets. But you don't have to pay anything. The game is free. They are not allowed to charge any money for it because the rights are still owned by NTREEV. The premium currency has therefore been changed and can now be earned within the game through carnivals or gift boxes. You can win carnivals if your horse is selected at random and has the most stars for mane, coat and tail among the participants, as well as the highest stat value. However, the server had a serious crash a month ago and is therefore still down. The team is working on restoring everything. Until then you can't play Alicia Online. You can check if the server is up again on their facebook or vk page. I will also publish an update about this.

It's absolutely safe to download and play the game but it does very frequently get flagged as a false trojan virus because of how outdated the engine/files are. The developers are doing all the development in their free time for free so they prioritise more important problems first. However I'm positive that they will find a solution for this as well.

But your antivirus may falsely flag it as such and won't let you launch/download the game.

@@pryzmthedragon i whitelisted it and it still didn't work. it will startup, show the update screen, and the logo and it still won't actually open the game.

If that is the case, you are welcome to do so. I haven't played the questline from the beginning for years, so I don't know anymore. I only recommend playing through the tutorial once, because there are players who ignore the questlines and would otherwise never play through them.

What I meant is that newcomers are not given a break in the race just because they are new. 😅 But the game is not particularly difficult to learn, so you get the hang of it quickly. Because of its korean origin it might get flagged falsly as a trojan by your antivirus. Same happens to me when I try to download it if you look closer. It's all in german unfortunately XD but it literally got labeled as a possible "safety risk" and I had to manually allow the download. Hope that solves your problem.

At the moment there are some server related problems. If the server is down, of course you can't log in. It is always best to check whether the server is currently running on the VK or Facebook page. If this is not the problem, you should contact the developers directly. If an error occurred during registration, they can help you with this. Can you log in to the website with your details? That would be a way of testing whether it works. If you don't want to do that, maybe create a second account.

Unfortunately, the launcher keeps causing problems because it is a very old game and the coding with the new drivers and/or Intel processors is no longer complete. So sometimes you can't start the game. There are three possible solutions to the problem: 1st: What helps me when the launcher is stuck is to close everything that is from Alicia via the task manager and restart it again. 2nd: The game was not installed correctly. Simply reinstall it using the existing files. 3rd: In some cases, the computer unfortunately declares the game as a virus when starting. I have never had to do this, but others claim that you should temporarily switch off real-time protection via the windows settings. However, I would not recommend this myself. VPN is the culprit in most cases.

You might have right click it and save it as a file, that is what I think you may have to do. I also read using Microsoft Edge to download it could possibly help! There's also a chance your computer is refusing to do so because it's reading the file as a virus (because it's Korean-made). Hopefully, this helps, or the author of this video might pitch in as well with what to do.

I tried downloading it from Google chrome it did nothing but when I went to Google it did work. Maybe this will helpn

The game is still there and woks perfectly. It was actually officially closed in 2014, but was put back into operation by a private individual on a private server. However, he is not allowed to earn any money with it because the game does not belong to him, so it is completely free.
