The featured video is of Cape Breton fiddler Natalie MacMaster playing with Bela Fleck and Hailey Westenra at a country dance hall at Glencoe Mills, where Natalie first played as a child.
We have also provided excerpts from a number of other programs in "favorites" that make up just a small part of Emmy award-winning producer Leo Eaton's work. Some of the selections are from music and performance shows Leo has produced over the past five years, including FIESTA MEXICANA, NATALIE MACMASTER, BRINGING IT HOME (2007), TANGO, THE SPIRIT OF ARGENTINA (2005) and MARIACHI, THE SPIRIT OF MEXICO (2003).

now thats a dance
My grandparents were from Nova Scotia, Cape Breton, a little village called Cheticamp. I grew up with this and it's so nice to hear and see and brings back fondest of memories (I am now 66). This is "authentic" compared to that awful Riverdance.

😡😡😡😡😡
Who's playing piano?
I still come back and watch this video. I wish I would have been there to hear the music and seeing all the good dancing.

I LOVE TO HEAR HAYLEY WESTENRA SING JUST ABOUT ANYTHING THAT SHE CHOOSES!! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL VOICE!! I ESPECIALLY LOVE TO HEAR HER SING SHENANDOAH AND THE LAST ROSE OF SUMMER WITH MEAV OF CELTIC WOMAN!!!
Who would have thought that Hayley Westenra would be singing Cajun songs along with Natalie McMasters and Bela Fleck ??
Cajun? Maori New Zealand aboriginal language!
What chords are being played during the singing? Is it Miss Mcleod's reel?
Hello, who is this lady?
As a kiwi it's great to hear one of our songs sung so nicely
Whats the first tune?
We’ll Aye Gang Back To Yon Town
Then mcleods reel is it? Cheers mate. Awesome set!
Second reel is Pigeon on the Gate, then McLeod's, then that singing bit, then the last reel in the West Mabou Reel.

Can someone tell me the name of the reels played by Nathalie please? Thanks.
Man, that's a look at Canada from a billion fuckin' years ago.
Still happens today in Cape Breton
If you are talking about Hayley's song, it is "Po Karekare Ana", New Zealand's unofficial national anthem, and a very beautiful song sung in Maori language.
Please tell me the name of this tune.
Great song, great fiddle and great dancing...!
@EatonCreative I really enjoyed that Leo. Gerry Wiseman (Westminster, MD)
Po Kare Kare Anna. Wow! Different setting!
This is on the "Bringing it Home" DVD. I watch this clip quite a lot.
Glad to hear your 9-month-old loves Hayley, and that your daughter is a big Natalie fan. Isn't she amazing? I haven't posted any other videos from the night at Glencoe Mills or the Natalie & Friends concert that I produced for PBS during Celtic Colours at Cape Breton that year, but you'll find several excerpts from that concert posted on RUclips by others, with Hayley and Bela included.
I'm the one who originally commented on my 9-month-old just getting entranced by Hayley's voice. My daughter is now 13 and we watched this again tonight. :)
Just to clarify...it's square dancing, not line dancing. Great, great video btw!!!
What a wonderful night! But, just about any night at Glencoe Mills is a wonderful night. Cape Breton square dances are the best!
One of the most beautiful woman in the world God bless her 💞💞 I Natalie Mac Master is the best entainer in
Thanks for posting this video. I was fortunate enough to be sitting on the left side near the piano and had a great seat to enjoy the music. I love Cape Breton. My 2nd home. The people are the best. I posted a video from the same night on fiddlingsam site. Sam
@mep1990 I stand corrected. Hayley was part of Celtic Women when we filmed in Cape Breton, but not since.
I stand corrected. Hayley was a part of Celtic Women when we filmed in Cape Breton, but no longer.
@EatonCreative Just to point out, Hayley certainly was a part of Celtic Woman back then, and she did a great job. But it was a short period, she's always been mostly a solo artist, as she is currently. I am saying this only because labeling her as "from Celtic Woman" could be misleading and lead to some disappointments, as she is not a part of the group anymore.
Filmed during Celtic Colors, Cape Breton in 2006. Glencoe Mills is where Natalie played as a teenager. That evening she was joined by banjo superstar Bela Fleck and the amazing Hayley Westenra (from Celtic Women). It's a traditional Cape Breton line-dance with Natalie's friends all around. I filmed this as part of a longer project (Natalie MacMaster, Bringing it Home) but this unique musical event was never part of the final film. I hope Natalie, Hayley & Bela's fans enjoy this unique clip.
A long time to stumble about and find this clip but thanks for posting it..a great filming and edit job,,thanks Now I feel I'll go to see Natalie and Donnell live FRIDAY, MARCH 24, 2023 AT 9 PM - 11 PM Natalie MacMaster & Donnell Leahy James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts at the College of Lake County, IL. and NO I didn't find and post this via AI or optimized search engines tools as part of some social media marketing organizations ad campaign. Just using my 10 year old tower and some curiosity and interest in good ole music and good unpretentious performances.
