In 1977 I met an ex Force Recon guy who had made a couple of tours in Vietnam. He had tried civilian life for a couple of years and it didn't go well for him. So he went into the Navy, thinking he'd try an easier track and I met him in boot in San Diego. The guy was about 6'4" or so and very good shape physically and he had these strange grey eyes like I've never seen before on a Black dude. His eyes reminded me of a wolf's and you could tell by looking at him that he'd been through some stuff. Bad stuff. Anyhow, about half-way through boot he freaked out in the middle of the night and started tearing through the other guys in the barracks. I was able to take him down and others helped me hold him down until the MPs got there. Last I saw him they were marching him out in leather and chains. It was some sad stuff what they do to us. They take people and strip their humanity away and turn them into monsters for them to do the dirty work of war. Then, when they are done with them, they drop them back on civilization. They no longer fit, if they ever really did. Far more guys come back wounded in the head and soul than in the body. Just because there are no visible wounds doesn't mean wounds don't exist.

This video aged like milk. Yes, they are testing high pressure rounds both in the military and on youtube. Like others said, it doesn't use polymer cases. It uses brass and steel.

The plastic ammo will go away when the manufacturing capability steps up is what you dont get. Yea sure if we go to war in the next 2 or 3 years it will not be ready for the field in large amounts, maybe a couple special forces guys will like it and some random guys will be given one to try out but in 10 years you might see some new guys training with them here and they in 20 its almost replaced the m4 by 50 years it has. But those m4s and ammo doesnt just dissappear, there is a reason we have stockpiles for backups. It just adds to our capability, more options is better

My dad got the pump action version. The South African military use them, we call it the R4. We got rid of the wood furniture though
