Background: Shipton Abbott is a fictional place created for the BBCs tv series Beyond Paradise. The location they used for the programme is Looe. Don't be fooled they suggest that Shipton Abbott is located in Devon but I can assure you Looe is definitely in Cornwall.

in edinburgh i had a French tourist say loudly to her husband "Et ils ne ramassent pas après que leur chien ait chié" meaning "and they don't pick up after their dog shits" after my dog was peeing. they will say what they are thinking without hesitation

No litter on pavements. One of my fav cities.
It would be highly helpful if the camera operator would 1. Spend more time looking up and forward. Half the time we can't even see the store front just the sidewalk, and 2. If he/she would have planned out the route without retracing the same ground. For example, walked all the way to the castle, turned around walked to Johnston terrace just to climb the steps to return to the entrance of the castle. Really really annoying!!!

It's Princes Street (plural of Prince) NOT Princess Street. And in any case it's Princes Street Gardens, not Park. For a guide that calls itself "Ultimate Walking Tours you need to get the details right. @@UltimateWalkingTours

Designed on Abercromies plans after the Second World War. Mature trees that once lined Armada Way down towards the Hoe were ruthlessly chopped down under the cover of darkness by the council one night. Gone forever. Buildings slowly getting knocked down & redesigned. The university, once a Polytechnic, is sloŵly eating up buildings & wasteland & constantly expanding due to extortionate tuition fees. Subways that once seperated the pedestrians from the traffic have been filled in & now traffic gets halted as pedestrians now cross that same road that they once walked under.

Edinburgh is absolutely NOT the best city in world. Not by a long chalk. Many people are disappointed by how dull and grey it is. It is also ugly. The weather and the people are cold and the food is inedible.
Thanks for your comment! Maybe Edinburgh needs a bit of sunshine to brighten up its reputation! Or a food festival to change your mind about the inedible food.
