Rake is stuck in the up position and will not rotate at all, let alone return to starting position. Update: customer support sent ne a pair of sensors to replace. The video on how to do that is on my channel.

    I've had mine for a month and a half and now it doesn't clean, it doesn't detect that the cat used it and to clean it I have to do a reset, I've already sent the videos and I'm waiting, fingers crossed

    Thank you so much!!! This was by far the best explanation of how to replace the sensors I’ve found! My replacement sensors also took over a month to arrive(and that was after OVER a month of back and forth emails with the company). I’ve been dragging my feet to replace them because it seemed way too complicated…you really simplified it for me. Thank you!

    AVOID BUYING THIS CAT BOX AS IT IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY I made a huge mistake buying the Elspet Litter box. I’ve only had it 6 weeks and the rake stopped working. Sent a video of what happens to the help support, as they told me to do. I was told that the sensor needed to be replaced and they expected me to do. I’ve explained to them, that if I did that and I did further damage, my warranty would be void. I’m waiting for their reply. I want my money back as it is a waste of my pension money.

    Thank you for posting this!!! My rake is also stuck. Did all the troubleshooting and nothing. Finally got all the sensors in the mail today and zero instructions. I appreciate you winging it for the rest of us!

    I am having same issue! But mine goes crazy now that i changed the sensors. Any way you could share what wires go to which sensors on the side with all the buttons? Support csnt seem to understand and im getting nowhere! 😢

    First you have the rake wrong it supposed to be at the bottom

      @@latashapike397 the rake arm was stuck in the top position. If it was on the bottom, there wouldn’t be a reason for this video to exist.

    I know that maybe it is not the same problem that my litter box has, but maybe you can give me an idea. It appears in the app that the pedal is released, but I have tried a thousand ways and it is set correctly, but I do not even understand why according to ws it seems that it does not detect the pedal. I don't know if it also has to do with the sensors. Well, I would appreciate your answer.

    I won't never recommend this Elspet litter box to anyone.... I think it a piece of crap!! I have mine for 2 months and I have the same problem. customer service is so bad!! 😡

    Have you fixed your Elspet? Elspet has removed their customer service number and I can only communicate through email but they don’t respond. Do you have a good contact? I need new sensors , checked with meter readings and they are bad.

      @@mariadiaz7582 we did fix the sensors. I have another video posted on how to do that because they don’t send instructions. We just contacted support through email, and it was pretty slow going. Took about 6 weeks from first contacting support to receive the sensors.

      @@JasonPaczkowski thanks for your reply and info. I honestly think they had a bad batch of sensors. They finally contacted me and want another video of the box not working. At least they are willing to give us the parts. I’ll never purchase aHong Kong product again. Expensive purchase not to honor warranty. My labor will be free for them.

    I WISHED I had seen this before purchasing this piece of CRAP machine! I’ve only had it for a couple months and the rake started not working. I emailed support and was told to 1. Clean the 6 sensors and 2. Press the third button. Well I did all that…. Even took the litter box pan out, the step off, started and restated the device. Nothing!!!! I’m sooooooo disappointed. THIS MACHINE IS A COMPLETE WAIST OF MONEY! DO NOT BUY IT! We all need to do reviews to warn potential buyers because when I searched Elspet review…. No problems like this surfaced that I could find so I thought it was a good product. Boy was I saddened to get it home and it be broken in 3 months (if that!). I’m also paralyzed and have trouble working on things here at home which is why I bought this to lighten my load but instead it has made it heavier and stressed me out MORE!

      Exactly the same for us. It’s stopped working after only one month. I have rheumatoid arthritis and bought it to help my work load too. I have done my research before hand and there doesn’t seem to be any major issues. Now I am stressed and angry. I have contacted them already 6 times. I have been wanting to return it but no such luck since it is almost impossible to get a response. I will post on the business bureau website and you should too.

      @@rosebarrette6292 mine didn’t either. I was being sarcastic at the end! I contacted customer support, and they determined it was a malfunctioning sensor, which it was. So they sent me a new pair of sensors, and I have a video posted on how to replace those. But take note, it took almost 5 weeks from first contacting customer service until the sensors arrived. So don’t be too shocked at how long it can take.

    My fix was pressing the button to close the door, i unpugged it with the door closed, then when i plugged it back in it moved the rake!

      They aren’t much better. They stop mid rotation, bags are costly, and the sensors had to be cleaned frequently.

    Honestly I’ve decided that I spent nearly $500 to toss it in the trash! One of the worst purchases I’ve ever made!

      Mine is still raking and cleaning up the cat sh!t but once it's done it beeps that annoying sound. Mine sounds like it is trying to move the rake.. makes a short humming sound.

    Be careful with this product. Rack is breaking very often. In one year it broke twice. The first year it is under warranty so no problem but it shouldn’t break for a product that expensive! Once the warranty is expired, you’ll have to pay for the replacement and the shipping

      @@premiumhuy8035 I contacted customer support, and the solution they offered was for them to send me a sensor to replace along with instructions on how to do it. It should be here any day now. I’ll make a video on how to do that, and see if it fixes the issue.

      @@premiumhuy8035I replaced the sensor, and it works now. I posted a video of the process because Elspet sent the sensors, but not the instructions. If you are having the same issue, contact Elspet customer support ASAP because it takes a long time to ship.

    Guess ill add my minor fix went i noticed a week of poop not scooped. Ultimately, it was a small slither of the trashbag intersecting the back shutter. Then it worked again. I'll have to keep an eye on it tomorrow.

    afternoon all, the issue that you are having and one that I had as well is that the rake rack has sifted or moved from its original position due to failed set screws on the rake rack that attaches to the motors. It's lost it's position and doesn't know where the rake actually is. unfortunately the only way to remedy this is to take the entire thing part basically and re-align the rake rack and the motors to where they need to be.

    Just had one delivered and it won't even turn on. It beeps three times and no lights except for a blinking blue one under the control panel.

      Not much of a resolution, we’ve been in contact with customer support. They offered to send us a new sensor to install ourself, or we could send the unit back to them. We decided to have them send us the sensor. It should be here soon, and I’ll post a video of that install.

      It was a broken sensor. New video of sensor replacement is up. I hope this helps solve your issues as well.

    We have had the same issue with ours and its been problematic since day one. Whats worked for us sometimes is pushing or pulling the rake as its unplugged and turned back on and clean button depending on wherever it decided to stop.... It doesn't always work but hopefully that can help

      I've had the same and played around with it yesterday. Have you cleaned the top IR sensor? It's near where the rake stops normally. I unplugged the adaptor and left it for 5 minutes, then I cleaned both the low and the top sensors. Mine is working again after I did that.

      @@LittleRedSergeit was a broken sensor. Elspet sent me a new set of sensors to install. I posted a video of the process. Hope this helps.
