Hello guys again, In this video I demonstrate the why-s of using a rubber mallet will result in better stamping than bare hands. I chose a piece of paper and a knife to show you what a mallet can do and your bare hand cannot. If needed, watch it several times through. Good luck with experiments. @@mindblowinglittlefactstoth4622 I sometimes roll the bevelled "scraps of soap" into another small ball of soap , or you can use them as decoration in a new loaf of soap as "confetti". You can sprinkle your pieces on top or in your batter to create a patterned soap
Why di-ionised water? Could you also use distillwater which is much cheaper?
Hello, the answer is simple, because where I live in UK I cannot source it, but from local store where I do the day to day shopping can get this cheap. I do not make many soaps with water base anyway as I make herb extracts, goat milk, yoghurt, etc.

What do you use in the spray bottle? water?
We use isopropyl alcohol. It is a good help either using bare hand or rubber mallet technique. But please be aware in this case - full coconut soap - the importance is the time when to de-mould.

It's a great tool for those who use long moulds, gives each slice an individual finesse. Victor was very responsive, quick and respectful. I placed the order late in the evening, he responded immediately and shipped it first thing in the morning. I recommend it.
