Update on post op appointment. Also she’d be mad if she knew I included a snippet of us trying out chamoy pickles because we weren’t dressed for anything.

You look great beautiful couple
Well hello there! Greetings from Minnesota as always! I hope the wedding goes well, that's a LOT of work to do! 3 months is pretty much "crunch time" 😊 They gave me one of those full body suit compression garments for just my top surgery. (I have no clue why) But I would tell my friends that I could understand what an overstuffed sausage felt like inside. lol They seriously need to update the BMI scale. Muscle weighs more than fat for one thing, and very skinny people can be very unhealthy, and overweight people can be just fine. I think they need to take a whole body approach instead of just a number graph/scale from the 1800's. That's my two cents on that. I would think it's completely normal to be afraid to go back to where you were, and fought so hard to get out of. In a way, it's a good thing to not want to go back there that much, but I'm also not a therapist of any kind, just 47 years of life lessons 🫠 You barely look like the same guy! And the pictures of both of you are marvelous and beautiful! 🫶🥰💍🔔💗💞
@@rainbowtropolis thank you so much. Partially the reason I’ve logged as much as I have for myself so I can go back to reference pics and do comparisons. We don’t always see our own progress but pics don’t lie. Also yes 3 months is crunch time.
congratulations on evrything u inspire me to get vsg and tummy tuck im three years os op vsg and 1 year tummy tuck post op im trying to work on my side fat i gain 10 pounds lost three its not easy just somethig called life
@@yaasy77smart1 yeah I’m considering trying the carnivore diet for a wk or so to see if I like it
You don't even look like the same guy any more, awesome changes Izx! 🎉 I would say nerves growing back plus the healing skin would be thinner until it scars up a bit more? I have a spot where my top surgery scar is that is continually itching even after 5 years, like the nerve is just angry at me lol Do you have any numb spots? I'm still on the list for getting the same thing done, but I told my doctor that I'm just not ready yet, plus I want to wait until it's winter when I do it so I don't miss being outside! Up here in Minnesota we don't get much time to be outside without freezing something off! Hi Remmy (Remi??)! I see him in the background running circles around you hehe I had an inguinal hernia fixed up when I was in my early 20's, and it still has issues with feeling tight if I bend certain ways, my thinking is it's partly scar tissue, but if you work on it, it would be more pliable instead of feeling like a stiffer band?
No numb spots. Just like sensitive towards the ends of the incision. I’m glad I got it when I did, we are starting to wedding plan now so that’s consuming my time now. At least I’ll be fully healed by the time that rolls around. And yes, that’s Remi with his little cameo…being annoying. I am able to move a lot more now than I had been to previously…so getting there slowly
@@izx4132 I think Remi is cute, pet cameos are hilarious 🐶 I've noticed my top surgery scars are still sensitive on the ends, it's been a long time since I had it done too. Good luck with wedding planning! I hope it goes great 🥰
Happy belated birthday slim! 😁🥳 You're doing super awesome internet buddy. 👍 Everyone slips up now and then, it's called being human. Just as long as we don't go back down that road that led to the main problem in the first place! 🫣 It's so fun to see the whole "Texas" out and having fun clothing again! I took a few pics of myself when I was down there, I loved it so much! Up here it's all parkas and those hats from "Grumpy Old Men" movies lol I've slipped up a bit, but holding around 195 most of the time these days. I'm waiting for spring, even though this has been the mildest winter I've ever had being up here in northern Minn! It actually rained all December, we didn't get snow until January 2nd that stuck on the ground, we're 40 inches below average! Enjoy the southern life for me a bit, I do miss being down there for sure (as long as it was the winter when it wasn't so hot hehe)
Thank you…as for the Texas gear, it just happened to be Latin night
Hey, bro, you look good. Take it easy. Let your body heal.
Thank you, I will
Never hurts to go in for the checkup, they look for things we might not think of. It shouldn't be bleeding this far out, even just a little. It's going to feel so wonderful to not have to wear compression garments any more! Freedom and breathing again 😁 I'm a night owl and always catch your videos right after you post them lol I know the holidays can be hard, but 10 pounds isn't too bad since you know what you should do to get back on track, that's what counts in the long run 👍 Happy new year to you and your family! (dogs count as family!) 🐶
And kitties…but yeah the spot that’s bleeding isn’t all the time it’s just when I’ve over done the stretching or pushing myself to move stuff. It’s a spot smaller than an eraser on a pencil.
@@izx4132 My cat would agree 😸 I'd still get it checked, they might be able to put another stitch in it or give you some pointers on how to help it heal faster. Sometimes there's a stitch in there that won't let it heal that they can remove too, I've had that happen as well. One thing I never mess around with is things staying open too long after surgery after I had my skin turn black and fall off in one spot, it was gross. I don't think I could post it on youtube because it would be graphic even for the adult section!
he was pretty comprehensive 😊
I do the same kind of pizza with tortillas! Lavash bread works too, easier to cut into squares 😁 I love combining cheeses on pizza, it's a good flavor palette! I like cayenne pepper and pepperoni on mine. YUM! (I kind of try to do lower sodium, so I moved into spices more than salt for flavors) Hehe, dog = floor cleaners🐶 He got so big from the first time you got him awww! 🥰 Just to share a chuckle, one day I was cooking pizza for my boyfriend, and I asked him if he liked squares or triangles. He said "surprise me." So I cut half the pizza in squares, the other half in triangles. I succeeded in surprising him 🤯We both agreed that the squares tasted better even though it was the same pizza. 🤔 You're looking great and have come a long way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thank you. Had no clue what to record so here we are lol
@@izx4132 Worked for me! Not too many people know that using stuff like this for pizza works just as well, and is low calorie (depending in how you make it, I'm a cheese addict hehe), also better on the budget!
Nice decorating! Glad things are going alright, just keep an eye on those stitches to make sure they don't get infected. you know how that goes though. I sure don't miss being wrapped tight as a sausage though after seeing how big your compression garment is compared to how big mine was 😮 I imagine you don't need a jacket either, those things really trap body heat! It's 15 degrees up here today, we just got about 2 inches of snow, and the lake froze over the day after thanksgiving. 🥶❄
I get cold…it’s not super thick…still Texas here and they issue these year round. Thank you about decorations.
Happy 6 year anniversary! This is so beautiful I did a little happy cry for you both 🥹 🥰
Thank you
I'd wait for clothes shopping for another month or so :) Stretchy stuff for a wedding if they let you! Yeah, having a drink or two, you body will just make it unappetizing until it can handle it. At least your compression garment will only have to be worn when the weather is cooler? Bromelain is great for swelling, good research! I hope your back gets a bit more in tune with your healing, just don't push it too fast, we know how that turns out 🫣 I was just wondering earlier today how you were doing (I had some down time and was taking pics of myself for my friend who is also trying to lose weight to show her the progression I've had) Have fun gaming! I'm going through Zelda tears of the Kingdom at a snail pace for the fun of it this time around 😁
Been playing fortnite with a couple coworkers and friends. Not clothes shopping currently…it’s more so the things that did fit currently don’t fit my waist with the swelling so luckily I didn’t give everything loose away. I had just gotten rid of so much stuff. Drinking, guess just gonna have to pace it
@@izx4132 Losing weight and getting a new wardrobe/replacing old favorites for new ones is actually pretty cathartic 😊
Yeah the stretching is important to do at home. The more you do the faster you'll be back to normal
I was scared to mess something up. Now I know I can start stretching so I started with removing pillows. It’s helping
No worries about the background noise, it barely came through. 👍 Ugh, those drains. I almost accidentally pulled mine out a few times too just not paying attention. OUCH. Glad you felt the resistance 😦 Yeah, your body starts healing around the drains if they're left in too long, twice as fun to get them pulled out after that happens 😜 Sounds like a better day today than the past few weeks for sure! The massage lady sounds like a wonderful and helpful person! I have really weird adhesions that I can't get fixed because it's considered cosmetic, so I just figure it's another part of my surgical roadmap lol Belly button possibly is just discolored on it's own from stretching? Mine is all kinds of weird colors from surgeries over the years, plus my body scars weird. I was sooooo happy when I didn't have to wear compression stuff any more, but at the same time, it held everything in nicely hehe, I have back rolls that got smoothed out when I had my compression top on. I lost weight around the same time I had top surgery, so now I have weird pointy dog ears on my back. What's the pickle thing called? Got a chuckle out of the look on her face when she bit in 🤣
It’s a chamoy pickle but we bought the packs that come with candies to make it. Weirdo was eating off a sharp knife not even a butter knife. Yeah I’m glad the drains are gone for sure.
@@izx4132 Ah! ok, I was trying to figure out what word you were saying in front of pickle lol, I don't follow tiktok stuff so I'm in the dark about a LOT of things. And yeah, be careful eating off knives! (I have to admit I've done that once or twice without incident, but it still cringe!)
@@rainbowtropolis not really a tiktok thing although I did it buy it from their shop. Chamoy, she just really likes. We put it on our drinks with tajin. So when the pickle came out we had to try it. Expensive pickles though
@@izx4132 Looks like way too much red food coloring! I knew what the Takis were though, my boyfriend eats them all the time!
@@rainbowtropolis the chamoy itself is red 🤷🏻♂️
Aw bummer. I hated those drains and I only had them for 3 days! Good job with taking care of yourself though, I did mine all by myself with top surgery (changing my own bandages yadda yadda). It wasn't until after I was all healed up that the nurse told me I could have had a home health aid help me out... thaaaaaaanks. 😒 I hope you have a good weekend, lots of Halloween stuff going on up here, and it snowed today and got cold and windy! Even the pets get jackets and booties up here lol!
We have a very spoiled dog. He has costumes and all the outfits. Little jerk dog. I guess we’re gonna take advantage of warmer weather and have a lunch date tomorrow and go hunt down Xmas wrapping paper because I need to keep her gifts a surprise and they’re starting to pour out of where I have them hidden
@@izx4132 That's so adorable! You'll have to share his outfits sometime! My cat refuses to let me put anything on him, but the people in the building where I live dress their dogs up so I get to live vicariously 🐕 That's too funny that you're squirreling away her presents ☺Your whole reply made me smile 😄
@@rainbowtropolis oh I start shopping early. Try to be done by early November with the gift shopping
@@izx4132 I just asked for Christmas lists, but I don't get any answers! I just listen to see what he talks about a lot and won't get for himself (things he forgets) and those seem to be the best picks :) He waits until the day before Christmas eve to go shopping for his side of the family, it drives me nuts lol
YIKES! Nitro in a partially open wound is like taking it under the tongue for a heart attack 😱 I'm surprised they didn't give you a bit more warning about that. Sticking things in your belly button hits a nerve that I can only explain as a single nerve being connected from your behind, to your front, to your belly button, it's so bizarre 😶😕! It's amazing how much you learn about your body from surgeries isn't it? For the drains, it also depends on the color coming out (part of the logs you are keeping I think) Drain length might be almost 2 feet from beginning to end if they're crossed over like that? (From beginning to bulb?) That's bizarre to have them coming from there when they said from hips, wonder if they had to change something due to stitches placement or something. (I'm fascinated by this because I'll have to do this surgery at some point. I know not all surgeries are the same for everyone, just "things to think about") Good job keeping up on the wound care 👍The better and more you do now, the less you have to do down the road ☺ Love how your cat is making sure you're alright throughout the whole video 😄 Probably not a good idea to go for that long of a walk this early, make frequent stops to sit. Your body won't be healed up all the way and might start making more lymph if there's too much irritation from moving around. Of course, sedentary isn't good either, just frequent rest stops. 👍 I told everyone for the one year I had most of my surgeries that I was on the "organ weight loss diet" lol (Had top surgery, hysto, oophorectomy, 2 exploratories, gall bladder and appendix all in almost a 1 1/2 year span.) Sleep well! The snow is getting closer to me up here NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! lol
We went shopping last wk to get outta the house. I used the basket to help with that and as soon as I felt like that was enough we left. I did take breaks though throughout the store. Not sure that would be the same at the zoo. Might be too much too soon or at least until the bulbs are out
@@izx4132 I agree, stores are different than a zoo. More walking at the zoo, less spots to sit (unless it's a zoo with a lot of benches). If you go, just make sure fiance knows you need to rest frequently or it might put your healing back a day or so. From what you share, they seem to be understanding about that if you point it out.
@@rainbowtropolis yeah I get that she wants to go because the Halloween thing going on, I may have to find an alternative just to do something
@@izx4132 It's hard to be this close to a holiday of any kind after a major surgery for sure. I hope you can both find something you like to do together :)
Just from what you showed, looks like your drains are pretty much done sucking stuff out. Do you have a number to call and ask questions to your doctor/maybe get drains out early? I hated those drains. I'll prepare you, take a deep breath and think of something else if they just pull them out like they did with me! 💀😳 They don't "hurt" like regular sharp pain, but they make your brain freak out like "this doesn't seem right!" The massages probably help your body from adhesions to the drain tubes though. I could say it would be like pulling out a really long cactus thorn without the barbs on the ends... 🌵 Not squeamish talking here. It's SO worth it in the long run. Less fluid to worry about later once you're healed! (Like my BF calling them "blood grenades" lol) As for pain meds, yeah. Listen to your body and heart. I took most of mine the first few days, then just one at night for a few nights to help morning pain, then didn't take any after that. The muscle relaxer just helps your body not freak out from the surgery from what my experience was. 4:00 just an observation, may be the lighting this time, but I can see your collarbones for the first time! Awesome! 👍 I stopped around 190 lbs and kind of leveled off, debating if I want to go further or not (180 is my goal, 170 to 160 would be ideal) Yeah, don't stand straight yet or you'll get pulled scars. One thing that maybe your fiancee can help you with is take a small ball of any kind (tennis, dog ball) and have her roll it around the painful parts on your back, it helps take the soreness out. (I just used my ball against a wall or door cuz I didn't have anyone around to help with that kind of thing if that's an option) I guess I felt talkative tonight, mini-novel length comment lol sorry! Just a side note, this Friday up here we have snow in the forecast! ❄🌨
I bought a fibro roller so we have a handheld massager thing. She did that to me last wk and it helped some. I’ve had a drain pulled before it’s not a good feeling but also yes it feels weird as crap. I’m not sure how bad it’s gonna be to have two coming out or if they’ll do one at a time because that could happen too
@@izx4132 I would hope they would do it one at a time, but for me personally, I'm the "just hurry up and get it over with, do both".
@@rainbowtropolis it’s just ones draining less than the other at this point
@@izx4132 That happens most of the time, just the left/right body thing. Mine did the same thing, one was greasier looking too, it was weird. 🤔
@@rainbowtropolis yeah for sure just see fat floating in it
You are looking great. It will take some time
Thank you
I’m so happy for you!! Stay positive:) love the content☺️
Thank you
Looking good! Glad you're standing and moving around 👍 Hope your belly button recovers and turns out to be the best belly button you've had 😁 Mine's stuck under my droopy curtain still. 🤔
They kept my belly button in place and just pulled it back (essentially). So hoping it heals up the way they want it to
@@izx4132 Ah, I know what you mean by that :) Weird how they can do that huh? Just like any surgery, it's amazing what they can do and how we heal back up! I hope you're doing alright (AW, there's no "mummy" emoji lol) After one of my surgeries I had to wear a tight binder that, in hindsight, made me feel like the stuffing inside a tight sausage wrapper 🤪 I hope yours isn't that bad!
Glad everything went well. Trust the process, the swelling will take along time to go away fully. I was discouraged ven after three months but it started slowly getting better and now I'm very happy
Glad to hear this because right now still swollen for sure
I'm glad things went alright for you! Do you feel "thinner" or do the bandages take up room? Get a lot of rest, and just remember your pain meds. I'd put mine right next to me at night with a glass of water so I could sip and sleep, then I'd feel better when I woke up. I don't know how that would work with your dog though! I'm so happy you have your fiancee there to help you out 😊 My boyfriend used to call those drains "blood grenades" lol He would get so grossed out by them, but I was the one who had them! 🤔 Take care and do what you need to do, you'll be looking back on this soon and being glad you got it done 👍
Yeah I am looking forward to being able to look at this as the past. The drains they seem to want in foreverrrrr but getting closer now to that 2wks
@@izx4132 it definitely seems like forever when you have to worry about tugging and such, I remember that from top surgery. Couldn't get the m out fast enough! I hope things are going well?
@@rainbowtropolis my surgeon for top didn’t require drains so this is definitely an annoyance
@@izx4132 Ah, I had double incision with nipple grafts, already had a reduction before that, but surgeon didn't realize what I was asking him to do, so had to go all out the second time! Duluth MN is a small town compared to where most people go for their surgeries! Just be careful not to pull on them too much, they sting when you dislodge them 🤯
Need an update hope all went well 🙏🏻
Things went well just super sore. I did pass out yesterday briefly after I showered and we were doing the bandages and cleaning of the belly button. Other than that though not horrible just what you’d expect from an incision
I wish you all the best! Good luck and take advantage of any help you can the first week or two! 👍 When I got my top surgery I was surprised how much weight that was lost! (10lbs!) With excess skin I imagine you'll be around 15 lbs lighter on average (from what I have been looking up for myself). Can't wait to see how you turn out, and no owrries, didn't hear the dog noises 🤣🐕💨
I was talking and just heard his little squeaky butt lol and it went on forever
@@izx4132 🤣🤣🤣 I have a cat, but most of my friends have dogs. It's amazing what they can do for their rear end orchestra time lol
I got the tummy tuck last Nov and am super happy with it. Now I want a thigh lift and pec implants. I've lost 88lbs and want to lose 10 more pounds so waiting in the thighs for now. Thinking of maybe going to Mexico or one of those cheap places in FL. Seen allot of horror stories so not sure what to do. It's really pricey here in Toronto.
Mexico if you do your research may be a good option just have to proceed with caution
Best wishes for your surgery! You look amazing as always. Good luck on a speedy recovery.
You've done a great job, you almost don't look like the same guy I subscribed to in a good way! I wish you the best with your surgery, I hope you post updates now and then so we know you're doing alright. This will be my next step as well to get the loose skin off my stomach/love handles. After that, maybe lower surgery depending on how things go with the tummy tuck stuff. Be safe, take care of yourself, and don't do what I do and jump the gun with the healing process! 😉 P.S. 23 degrees last night up here in northern Minnesota, the hard freeze is here and the leaves are almost gone.
Still hot in Texas…even with the cold front
You weigh less than I do now! 😄👍👍👍 I remember when I found your channel, you were twice what I weighed. I'm impressed, you've done a great job! I know I'm a complete stranger, but I'd like to say, I'm proud of you 😊 I don't know if you'll be able to do stairs for a bit after surgery, just using your abs might be an issue? Just a guess, might want to look into that/ask your doctor. I'm excited for you! I hope it all goes really well and your recovery is as easy as it can be 🤞 Just in case you need more recovery time, could you apply for short-term disability? (Just because you mentioned PTO time and such) After having 21 surgeries, I've learned to cover all the bases beforehand just in case! 😳It's better to be over-prepared than under-prepared IMO. (BTW this is Chris Moon from Minnesota, I had to use another account to watch videos. YT didn't like the feedback I gave them about adblocker video limits lol They only let me watch 3 videos a day, so I turned off my adblocker. Then for some reason I couldn't watch ANY videos without their "turn off your adblocker" screen popping up 🤔🙄so I sent them a crabby feedback message 🤭)
Aww man that sucks, well luckily you found a way around it. Also thank you
You look great. I think you've lost a lot of weight.
I happy a tummy tuck last Nov and it was worse than top surgery. The first week was tough but yeah if I had a desk job I would have been fine to do that. Can't really think of much I did that was special other than borrowed my mom's treadmill. Just a slow pace walk everyday can really help with healing without over doing. I increased the pace as I felt better.
Yeah I kinda refuse to take more than I feel I need off. I’ve always been like that though. But working from home I feel it should be ok, it will keep me from being too lax too. Gonna have to move around some to heal up. Do you think the walker thing is necessary afterwards? I’ve seen people posting them on walkers
@@izx4132 i didn't find the need for a walker at all. It was less than a week before I was standing up straight again. Just really the first couple days then you straighten up pretty quickly
I hope it goes well, and once you have this surgery, it might put you back in the mindset from your top surgery, so you might remember something that you aren't right now. It's not that far away wow! Of course, right when it will be tolerable to be outside again lol, I've been keeping an eye on the weather down there because I have friends that live in the TX/OK border, and it's been brutal! Up here we broke a record a few days ago, it was 43 degrees that morning, by the next day it was 90 again! Weather whiplash! Just remember to prep meals for yourself so if you feel yucky, you don't go down the rabbit hole of ordering stuff that's not as good for you for healing. I lived on Ensure, jello and pudding for a while because I didn't prep my meals before I had my top surgery, oops! Keep up the good work, and your weight will definitely go down a bit with the skin removal, I watch a show that usually shows about a 15 lb drop just from the removed skin, and the results are fantastic once the swelling goes down. Some scalloped scars might show up, but then they did revisions. I've been debating if I want to go through skin removal after my weight loss, my top surgery took me out all summer, but I had to take care of myself, no one helped me. This time I could hire a home health nurse to help me change bandages. It was really hard to reach around and peel off all my bandages when I couldn't move! NGL, lots of lost fur to the adhesives too lol, I should have shaved before I had my surgery! 🫣
I am happy to get it done now so I know if I need to work on myself more after the surgery. Also saw a video of a surgeon recommending surgery in October so you can heal and be ready for summer
@@izx4132 I agree. It's better to do things then so you have time to heal up before the next summer comes, I did mine in June years ago, it wasn't fun to be all bandaged up when it was hot outside 😜
Cool! I was going to suggest going to a university and seeing if any of them by you would do surgery, they usually are really good about going by your income or working with you for a payment plan. I hope it all goes well! As for the needing someone there for you after this next surgery, top surgery didn't do muscles, this one would, it takes a lot longer to be mobile with muscle stuff, so in hindsight, 2 weeks of help would really be a good idea if your fiance can swing it. I did my own bandages and such with my top surgery, no one to help me and boy was that not fun! Lost a lot of chest fur with those adhesives lol
Congratulations!! I'm waiting to hear on a date for my phallo. The surgical clinic is on their simmer break.
Thank you and oh that’s exciting
Can u and ur girl make a vid together?
Not sure she will but I’ll see
Congratulations! I had a tummy tuck in Nov after losing 75lbs. I'm going back in next week for a revision for more lipo. I'm FTM to and can't describe how great it feels to have my hips gone. To have a straight male torso shape is awesome. Hope all goes well and insurance works out for you.
I hardly ever go to the Dr so I gotta meet my deductible and then whatever copay is if it gets approved. No clue what it will run so hoping to make it happen
You're almost unrecognizable from your starting point you've done so well! I'm proud of you! 👍🥳 So they have to do muscle tightening as well? I never thought about that honestly. I have the front, back and side sagging, not too concerned about my arms and thighs though. I can cover those up if I choose, but my stomach flap swinging back and forth when I run is a bit much! 🫤 I slacked off and am hanging around 190 from 220. 180 is my goal.
With the muscle some people pay outta pocket to reconnect the muscle. He told me he’d pull them as close as he can back together. He also said they’d bring in the sides and do some lipo on lower back. Just waiting to hear if my insurance will step in or not
@@izx4132 I hope they do, you've done a good job and that would be the icing on the cake! I'll send good vibes your way 🤞😊
@@pmbluemoon thank you I’m hoping so too
Excellent progress! I'm impressed! 😀 Makes me want to try a bit more. You weigh less than I do now! (I'm around 185) I plateaued again and kinda gave up for a bit, but now on a slow downswing again on losing about a pound a week. It's HOT up here in Minnesota (high 80's), and I'm not used to it like I was when I lived down there lol I've been thinking about getting a cheap treadmill or taking the chance at going to a gym, but I'm still scared about getting outed and kicked out by other members.
I don’t do the gyms, just still not comfortable with it. We cycled for a while, I think I need to worry about putting on muscle now and doing less cardio. That’s my focus now. Yeah I had set my goal at 180 but still dropping. It’s hot here too though
@@izx4132 Seems like building muscle is harder than losing weight for sure. So good to see you doing so well! 👏
@@pmbluemoon yeah seems like it. I probably should’ve focused some on it from the get go but was so focused on dropping I didn’t do lifting intentionally.
@@izx4132 We all learn from our experiences for sure! I can't get my lower pectoral muscles to work, the top surgery was a bit too invasive I think. I have dents on the bottom part instead of a bit of leftover fluff that would make it look a bit more shaped. Oh well. I went to Duluth, MN for it, so I was the first person they did the surgery on. It came out fairly well being it was his first time though, gotta give him credit. I hope the lifting will help a bit, I think you look fine though, but I know how we each have the way we want to look😊
You said you have dents, like how?
U look amazing bro u went from a what 3xl to probably a L now ? How is ur life with this big change I’m talking about energy mood less tired may be ?
Yeah a 3x to wearing mediums/lgs. I’m now working on muscle training. Less tired, less body aches, don’t get winded as easily. Hate to admit it but just a couple years ago while going to college for exams I’d be heavily winded going upstairs
First impressions, even your face is slimmer wow! Excellent work Izx! 👍👏 You weigh about 20 lbs less than me now, I stopped or plateaued around 190 for now, but summer is here and I can start getting outside more again. Do you feel better, like health wise? Less aches and pains, odd feelings of lethargy gone, that sort of thing? Mentally I bet you're feeling accomplished? You've done an amazing job 🏆
I used to get lower back pains, those have gone. I do feel better health wise just not a fan of the flabby skin. It makes it look like I have love handles and a gut and the more I lose the bigger that stuff looks. Until my consultation I am not even sure if it’s all loose skin or there’s still some fat mixed in there…gonna discuss that with the surgeon. I wanna lose a few more lbs, which was never really my goal but just to keep pushing. I have had some family make comments about me looking “sick” or “too skinny” which is kinda annoying since I’ve worked hard to drop all of this, but I guess they’re just used to me being bigger
@@izx4132 I ran into that too, skin flaps and the "you're too skinny" thing. I just figure I'll look how I want to look, not how others think I should look (in a healthy realm) I think you're looking great! You've done a lot of hard work and it shows 👍
@@pmbluemoon thank you. I’m just trying to find where I am happy at and not taking into account what others expect for me
Excellent progress! You've done well for sure 🌟 You look like a different person 💪 Once I lost weight I didn't like the way my stomach sags now too. I've been debating surgery to get it fixed up, but I'm still worried I might gain the weight back. I purposely gained back some weight just so my skin didn't flop around so bad. Holding around 190. As for scarring from top surgery, mine needed revisions after weight loss, my dog ears stuck out more and my scars stretched sideways a bit. Yours turned out pretty well I agree! Love the new tats btw 👍
Yeah I hit a plateau for awhile. Dropping again, don’t care for the loose skin but I can deal. I don’t have dog ears, I had them do a revision like not long after the initial cuz I had a weird crease. Now idk, it’s not anything crazy
@@izx4132 I'm glad you didn't give up, hadn't seen you on for a while, plus I wasn't on either so was wondering when I signed in if you were still there :) Happy for you!
Thank you…gonna try to focus on building muscle this yr
@@izx4132 I would like to figure out how to at least build up my lower pecs, I have this weird upper band of muscle, but there's no bottom definition. If you find out, let me know 🙂
Dame looking good man I’m thinking of the bypass surgery or sleeve I’m in between how is the alcohol deal with that I’m not a huge huge drinker but when summer is here I like to bbq have some drinks chill with the fam ir what not does that change or not allowed?
You gotta learn to drink again. I had given beer up for like 2yrs, liquor I do with water and like crystal light. They got soda flavored ones too…zero sugar. You can’t do carbonated right away after surgery. Like I can’t really handle sodas for those rare times I want it.
Just seeing ur response I won’t be planning to drink anytime soon after surgery like it’s not a must or urgent to me really but I mean a year after post opp or a year and a half I would like to chill with fam and friends and be free type thing don’t care to much bout tequila but all I like it beer no mix drinks no new drinks coming out just beer type dude lol thanks for replying bro I really appreciate it
Yeah for sure. Took time to drink beer because I chose not to. Started with liquor and diet drinks/juices mostly and then worked my way to beer but I don’t prefer to do it to myself because of beer gut
We need a vid keep us posted 👀
Hi there! I know I've been gone for a while, I see you've been off here for a while too. WOW! You're still making great progress! 🤩 I hope things are going well for you, and yeah, I slipped up and got a case of the "I don't care" and am back up to 200 again darnit. Back on caffeinated sugary pop and am now slowly cutting back after testing my blood sugars and it was a smidge over what it should be for normal.
How’s everything no update videos
Does the weight loss cause any sagging in your top surgery?
Thankyou so fucking much for posting these! I could not appreciate them more, As a plus size person who's thinking about top surgery this is so so helpful! Hope all is well with you ❤️
? I start drinking water the feeling of it feels like I got heartburn don’t know how to describe why maybe I drinking too fast do u drink with a straw
I can now…2yrs out. Wouldn’t suggest it at the beginning
Looking good in two weeks be a year out my vsg 🎊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
WOW! You're looking good! Keep it up 👍 I've been doing the same thing, got out of control for a bit (stupid gingerbread Mt Dew lol, that stuff makes a good mixer but it's all sugar! 😱 I think I've bought up all of it left in my own though lol) I'm now doing the same with the 10 lb weight loss increments. I figure it's easier to do the small bites instead of one big "chomp" out of my weight as well. That's a way better approach, I wish you the best! I just got a FitBit, and spring is coming (eventually) up here in northern Minnesota as well, and I'm hoping that will help along with the time change. Lets cross our fingers and hope for the best with the weather, and our goals... after I finish this last bottle of Mt Dew..... 🤫🤔🤷♂️ Thank you for the update, and take good care of yourself and your fiancee, I'm glad you have your videos to look back on and give yourself a refresher on what you did so you can help her out as well, I wish her a speedy recovery and good results as well 👍🙂
It’s helping a friend out. Fiancé is close to about as far out as I am at this point
@@izx4132 Got it 🙂 friend it is.
The Dew sounds interesting but don’t think it’s something that would taste good lol. The code red though was one of my faves. I got me and my fiancé apple watches for Xmas so we’ve been using those and I’ve been working out with oculus
@@izx4132 The dew is only good as a mixer, not as a straight drink 😏🤫 My fav now is the new one that's a raspberry lemonade, that's pretty good. I usually have to watch my caffeine (I buy sugar free dew though to try the new flavors). How can you work out with the Oculus? I'd be afraid I'd punch a wall or trip over furniture lol
I think that's pretty good! 👍 As for the drinks, I found out that glycemic index works pretty well and of course mix makes the huge difference! I have been told to go on a low "FODMAP" diet, you've probably heard of it. I found out vodka is better than rum in that respect, and I mix with stevia sodas called "Zevia" (zero calories, many different flavors) I lost a LOT of weight when I went full on diet mode, but one thing that really got me rethinking my weight loss was the loose skin thing. I started gaining weight back so I didn't have to tuck my belly into my pants and hope it didn't fall out when I was walking around 😲 I was good for a while, and of course now I'm back up to my own "Don't go there" goal of staying under 200lbs. This is tough, and it's easy to slip up and have to go back and re-evaluate and readjust back to the good habits again! Keep it up Izx! You don't have too far to go to be back on track 👏😃
Yeah I was super excited then my fiancé dragged me out Sunday on a drinking marathon 😑. Even pacing myself and not over doing it gained like 5lbs I guess if liquid weight idkkk. Anyways bring that back down now
@@izx4132 Just remember your weight can fluctuate throughout the day, don't be too hard on yourself for 5 lbs, that can easily be lost overnight while you sleep even! (I did that quite a few times, you lose your weight more when you sleep, found out that you exhale most of your weight as water vapor, it was interesting if you want to look it up) Of course if that 5 lbs sticks around for a few days or more, then it's not a good 5 lbs... This weight stuff is so tricky, and it's amazing once I watch more and more people find out what works for them, that it's definitely not a "one size fits all" diet for sure.
