Wasn’t Olympic’s grand staircase painted green after WW1, or is this a part of the aft staircase?
@@WESTHEBEST7o9o3 yeah it was painted green, I presumed they removed the paint but yeah your theory about it being from the aft staircase does seem more likely
@eveningstarproductions I heard a rumor that there was some of the Titanic’s 1st class interior which was never put on the ship and then was saved for the RMMV Oceanic. Then when the plans for the Oceanic were canceled they were auctioned off just like the Britannic. Apparently some of the interior is in Gainesville, Florida, the area I live in. I had an online friend who told me this. His grandfather used to work for Harland and Wolf. Is this rumor true? This could explain the color with the Grand staircase.
These rails are definitely from the Olympic, the owner of the hotel bought them when her interiors were being auctioned off because he was fond of her. I think your second class staircase theory is likely
@eveningstarproductions They didn't remove the paint, they repainted it. It was pink for a little while. That wood look I think is paint too, that's not the bare wood.
It's not from the aft staircase, the aft staircase was also painted green. They repainted the railings.
