    I like your motivational video. I have so many crafts that I love to dabble in but I dobt think i have the time. i say that because if i get a flash of inspiration ill work on a project from start to finish even if i stay up until 2am. Retired once, husband passed away, went back to work. I sooo wish I could just do my crafts and have some extra income but im so flighty I can't gat my housework done how am I supposed to work on my crafts? I suspect I have executive disfunction but not willing to get professional help in fear ill be labeled. is it bad to have several different types of crafts you work on or do you have to bite the bullet and do just one "niche" item or craft in order to be successful?

    • @eleniaman
      @eleniaman 8 месяцев назад

      First off, life gets hard. If you love crafting, find a little bit of time to do it for fun! I actually teach creatives how to make money with their crafts. I typically say to niche down to start out, but you could also combine your items into monthly packs. What kinds of crafts do you do? Also, don’t fear a “label” knowing if you have something can be so freeing. When I found out I had anxiety and depression, I could finally move forward and figure out how to live the life I truly wanted.

    The main thing I like about this method is that it manages the twist of the three strands in a better way. •Too much twist variation happens when I just hold multiple strands together. •Or if I create a multi-strand center pull cake on my yarn ball winder, the twist varies both as I wind the ball, and as I unwind it while crocheting. •This method anchors the twist every time I pull through that loop. •I had tried it once before, with some ultrafine wool that was 20 stitches to the inch guage on one of those antique steel double ought needles. •It became a very usable weight yarn with about 8 stitches to the inch gauge. •Best of all, the resulting stitch texture was more like a plied yarn with a standardized twist, than random bunchy yarn that would constantly split or snag along the strands. •This method of tripling yarn produces more comfortable working, and a better finished texture. Thanks for sharing. 😎✨

    • @eleniaman
      @eleniaman Год назад

      I agree, I don't like having to use knots, but sometimes it's necessary. I especially don't like using any kind of knots in clothing, but I do like this knot method when using this chunky method. The Russian join is the best, especially when using regular/standard yarn.

    • @thewitchhut63
      @thewitchhut63 Год назад

      Some yarns already come with knotted yarn in the middle of the skein. What do you do when that happens? Do you cut the knot out and rejoin with the Russian join?

    • @eleniaman
      @eleniaman Год назад

      If I'm using this chunky method, I just leave it. If you're using it as a single worsted strand, then cutting it and doing the Russian Join would probably look the best.@@thewitchhut63
