i have an 03 chevy Silverado 2500hd WT. brake controller wired into fuse box in the floor. do i need to run the black wire to my 7pin connector or will the power cm from the wiring harness?

After watching this, it looked like you had some coolant gel pooled up under there as well(valley plate) 7:49 probably should reseal the valley cover with FIPG so your not losing coolant. After awhile it gets worse and your coolant overflow stays empty.

Cost is the issue for me. I’m an ASE certified master technician and a Toyota certified master technician. I have thoughts of either building my own garage or doing mobile. Currently working for a shop 5 min away from home making $30 an hour, hourly not flat rate. I have land, but a garage is going to cost me $25,000, and a truck is oddly more expensive than that now 🤦‍♂️

Thanks so much for taking the time to document this repair. Rats had chewed off the wires to two of the four knock sensors on my 2008 Tundra. By watching this video I was able to do the repair myself in about 5-6 hours. I took my time and labeled each wire connector or hose as I disconnected them and got up to #22. This made putting everything back together pretty easy. Before I reinstalled the new wire harness, I wrapped it all with several additional layers of electrical tape, sprayed clear coat paint over the tape, and then sprinkled a bunch of cayenne pepper on the wet clear coat. Hopefully those darn rats leave it alone now. As you mentioned, the hardest part was getting those two back electrical bracket connectors released. Thanks again, you rock!

So kinda running into tbe same problem except the controller will be fine for a couple minutes and will then start flashing n.c. and then maybe 10 seconds or so itll go back to reading the breaks again where u see .c and when breaks are pushed u can see the gain levels rise. Itll keep repeating that process. I thought maybe a bad ground cause i ran all new wiring around the whole trailer but used the existing power and ground coming out of the drums. Doni think grounding each break individually to the frame would fix or is this something else.. thanks in advance for any help.

This is my second time in 2 yrs watching your video (great video by the way) doing this. I have a 02 CRV 228,000 and it blew a 1078. And a P0137 - bank1 sensor2 02 sensorI guess, circuit low volts. I cleared the codes and after 100 or so miles the p1078 only came back for the 2nd or 3rd I guess. I clean the s*** out of it the first time. Im not new to wrenching. I been doing most my work on the my older cars for over 35 to 40 yrs. Sorry My question is there a way to test some of these parts on this IMRC? Diaphragm, IMAC Position sensor, hoses check out. This car i got from my son fixed a few things and been enjoying it. Its also blows a P1457 (evap leak code i guess) for yrs. As far as I know its not a easy fix. Iv tried a few things. Sorry for long mesg.

How about this twist - I use same brake controller on my expedition and my titan. When I plug brake controller into expedition, trailer works great. When I plug same controller into Titan, the trailer doesn't respond. All voltage looks good at plug on Titan with controller plugged in, I checked each 7 pin for function and voltage. Trailer also works on Titan without brake controller. Where do I start, geez@@@!!! lol
