Thanks for watching and the kind words .
Dremel was the first to come out with their cutoff tool and is compatible with dewalts but dewalts is still more powerful and better ergonomicaly
I bought it for cuting fiberglass rebar are blades were burning before , but the little grinder kick ass used it to cut cast iron pipe in a demoaltion the grinder has power . Thanks for watching
Kevin, this is one of the best vid's i have seen...good explanation..10/10
Thanks for the kind and a big Thank you for watching .
3 layers of insulation. Sweet. What is the overall thickness of the insulation?
4 and half inches comes just under R 18 , with the inside using 2 by 6 can get R 22 so R 40 when finished . But no thermo bridging on the outside .Was so careful to make sure there was a gap between layers . There is a learning curve the corners get so built out easy to get crocked . Thanks for watching and your comment .
Prince is really the best! Thank you for being his mentor. He thinks highly of you.
Yes Price is special really showed how much of a stand up guy he was during my injury. Thanks for the kind words .
1:13 - “I’m going with straight because I’m fine”😂 So going with an angle one is some sort of weird thing to do then?
I never had the need for the angled 16 gague nailer here a look at the nails there a slight difference but if your in a small town could be hard to find www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-1-1-2-in-16-Gauge-Angled-Finish-Nails-2500-Pack-DCA16150/203164013 I know some installers will swear by the angled nailers and some don't there no difference ,but the angled air 15 gauge looks bad ass it holds more nails 😎😎so there that
Do you think a DIY homeowner could get buy on this saw alone? Or would you recommend something bigger. I ask because this saw is more in my price range.
Its good if it your second or thrid saw , in are case no electricity we love it still going strong . I think if you can only afford one CHOP SAW get a 12 inch blade, you'll grow in your skills faster and maybe try 5 inch crown with the small blade you can't cut 5 inch crown , If only using once a week or less and funds are tight get a Ryobi saw [ cheaper than the small saw] from Home Depot if you don't like the saw take it back. Good question thanks for watching
amzn.to/49vNwbK 30 percent off and a saw you won't outgrow bonus part not settling having a name brand
@@kdcustomwoodworking Thanks. I appreciate the videos.
Dewalt saw and rigid stand!
The rigid stand is the old type with no wheels yes 100 dollars cheaper. But if you are going job site to job site there is no better than Dewalt.
Nice… is that edge banding?
Yes ,nothing like solid edgeging have another video on the subject . Thanks for watching
Did you make the edge-banding? Is it 1/4”?
One part I left out I squared the doors on the table saw and jointer, so if you go 3/8 you'll end up 1/4 if you trim a 1/8 off . I've seen this edging on doors for over 25 years hands down the best no comparison to tape edging. Last there can be little gaps you'll see when you start to finish so be patient . Good question thanks for watching
That’s a great video!
Thanks for the kind words
It is not a TEN…it is a Nine point five….IF it had variable speed on the trigger it would be a TEN. It IS a very useful tool…it can’t cut as deep as a grinder, or grind like a grinder or take wire brushes like grinder, but it excels as a quick grab solution where a grinder is too heavy, unwieldy or bulky…I have one to compliment my grinder and keep it to hand for those quick cuts.
Thanks for the comments , very cool name haven't figured if your AI but good take keep it coming.
Disc selection: The yellow multi disc, will of course cut thick steel, but the bonded resin fibre cut off disc will be faster and cheaper to replace. Keep the yellow disc for plastic, sheet wood, pavers, thin sheet steel and light general use. The supplied continuous rim diamond disc is best used for decorative tiles because it reduces chipping. 😊
The thickest I cut was cast iron pipe did the job . For a paver I think your pushing your luck with this tool I just finished cutting some pavers and used a skill saw with a diamond blade small passes at a time . If you new to this tool like me try different blades and see what cuts the best .
That yellow Multi Material disc has direction arrows on it for good reason mate. Check the five segment cut outs around the rim…they are profiled. The slope side of each cut out should lead the cut because the more steep aggressive edge could catch on a steel sheet and make the tool kick back. The slope side of the cut out will not be grabby.
I tried forward and reverse for the cuts on the rebar by far the reverse was so smooth forward tend to climb not because of the disc selection. If someone gets this tool experiment with some scrap . Curios how did you find the tool cutting with steel ?
You put your clear finish over regular shellac (shellac with wax)? I think that was maybe the biggest contributor to what you ended up with and the reason for the "sheets" of finish you had to scrap off. Not letting the clear coat to fully drive was also didn't help your case, but the "wax" in the shellac creates a surface where almost nothing put over the top of that shellac would have been able to create a good bond between the two. Not paint, poly, other lacquers, wax, or even another coat of shellac like to sit on top of "waxed" shellac. If I'm wrong, please explain.
I didn't use shellac on the failure. The failure was because I did too many coats in a short time, which happened once before on a tabletop I was spraying 2k urthane . I showed the second time padding shelllac I did as a barrier and to bring out the depth of the mahogany.I have heard about wax in shellac can cause problems there is dewaxed shellac . Also shellac has been used for decades as a finish even primer based shellac [thousands of gallons sold] there no issues I've head about . What good about what I showed if you don't have spraying access you can do a finish that looks sprayed. There is debate in forms about wax in shellax but after a lot of years you see what lasts and what fails .I remember lacquer paint it turned yellow because there a amber in color in laquer so over time it overpowers the white dye and turned yellow . Last with those cabinet I showed there all big and can be a problem trying to spray take up so much room and I got impatient . Good question and if there any failures on shellac you seen please share
Is one more accurate than the other? By that i mean do you notice any blade deflection on the bosch when it slides? Does one have more than the other or any at all?
I didn't notice any difference on the 2 saws. Deflection is hard to measure because you're holding down with your hand can move slightly or not listing and feeling the cut and forcing too much. On my station, I was going to make hydraulic hold-down but never got around to make them that would make a super straight cut . Last I said it in the video if I had small kids I would have a breaker under lock and key . Good question thanks
Wooo make that $ brotha 🤘 kuddos for takin the time and putting yourself out there as well

amzn.to/4fyO0zN Canadian link amzn.to/3AvcmLQ US Link this is 5 inch I couldn't find the multi pack in 6 inch This a link for muti pack a good way to try , I like to sand with 80 grit ,120 and sometimes finish with 150 .
I came to see what raw mahogany looked like wish he had started with that
ruclips.net/video/wB_PNZVv3WQ/видео.html 33:27 I show just oil which is the same as a clearcoat in terms of color , remember clearcoat adds a lot of color to Mahgonay .Hope it helps thanks for watching
Well done.👍 Can you us how you built it? Instructions, parts list ect .
I didn't build it. A local company that used to build these is no longer in business. Google it there are some good videos on how to build. It does save me 100 dollars a year in oil, it's worth the time to build. Thanks for watching
Typo 1,000 a year saving in oil , sorry
Nice wood work mate 👍 I just bought that vac 400 aud . After 20+ years my fein intake foam has perished and lost heaps of power. I'll try and fix it when I've got time. Great review 👍
Thanks for the kind words. You'll love the vacuum. It's not as quiet as the Fein, but you don't notice when you have a sander going. Thanks for Watching

I don’t think you are supposed to keep the guard on the tool unless you are cutting drywall? Does it hurt to keep it on all of the time?
You should not use this tool for drywall .No it does not hurt tool is super smooth . The guard is safety leave on always period .
@@kdcustomwoodworkingit says right on the box and all the paperwork to use it on drywall
@@HickLif3 Keep it simple. It would be brutal to cut drywall , and the dust would be unreal when all you need is a knife faster and cleaner A rotary zip for plugs and holes a lot of drywall guys use . Please turn the radio off when you're shooting a video.
I left the radio on purpose its a local radio show here that's only on Saturdays called "Saturday in the Shed " KROCK 97.5 , but yes it can be annoying I don't add music in any narration .Thanks for your feed back and watching .
It looks incredible. I came here looking for knowledge. I'm working on restoring a 1930s Zenith console radio. It's mahogany and the original finish is tinted lacquer. I plan to use the same finish. It's already been stripped and sanded.
Thanks for the kind words .The radio a perfect piece to work on .You will also have the color pop because of the age of the Mahgonay. I loved the high gloss but on the final coats had to use 2 k stain only because way too many pieces, would have added so much time and money . The radio is small piece you can spend time on a small piece to get that perfect finish. Also this is good video show when you rush or add to much clear coat ruclips.net/video/WQF4PA5p2rU/видео.html
Thanks dude. I appreciate your time and honest review. I've been fence riding these two for a few years now and am grateful for those facts you shared. That arbor thing @ 5", to me is nonsense and that, I think was the factor I needed. Albeit, I like noted by both manufacturers that the Bosche has the higher RPMs (4800) compared to Dewalt's (3800) to me means less burnishing on the cut with the Bosche at those higher RPMs. However I like the feel of the torque of the Dewalt knowing it's there like an old trusty skil saw. It helps to keep me in check to respect the tool. Plus I don't want to wait for the motor to top out before I can make my cut. A quick on and a motor brake on the off and I'm set. Thanks again
Thank for your insights .I tried to show the plus and minis with both saws but for me that 5 inch inch is a deal breaker for me the reason when I make kitchens I tend to go at least 4 and a half inch kickplates .The basebard need to be wider to look finished not look like a extenstion of the kickplate . But it is strange that none of the other saw manufactors have not picked up on this because I don't think there nothing new say tha last 10 years could easily have fixed .Thanks for watching
👍🏻

Absolutely ridiculous milwaukee only makes one in 12V. Prob some business derp decision to want to sell both types instead of maybe getting it done with one. Anyway, woeful choice - also dewalt one is way better built from a teardown AVE did - he has great channel btw. Top work - subbed sir
Its true 12 v Milwaukee makes it a pain because you need 2 different batteries because most lilkey you have the bigger battery for the other tools, Dewalt you can even use the Flex volt battiers one battery for all Dewalt tools simple .Thanks for the kind words and welcome to the KD Woodworking family
I’m literally about to switch to DEWALT because Milwaukee don’t do an m18 version
@@walkaz Not to throw shade at Milwaukee but Dewalt making it so easy to keep the same battery . But tool envy is a addiction to be treated by building coolest thing with a new tool .
I just got mine yesterday in a combo kit from Lowes. Included with the DCW600 Router was the DSC334 Jigsaw, and the DCW 210 Orbital sander, a charger, a 5amp hour battery, a 2 amp hour battery and the tool bag to carry all of the items. At a price of $299 for everything, I couldn't pass it up: Especially since I literally had been wanting all three tools. The two batteries and charger were a very welcome bonus too. Plus every tool is XR MAX BRUSHLESS. It's called the "Woodworkers Combo Tool Kit" and this sale goes until Oct 30th. It's a good deal for what you get.
I just took a look yea amazing price .Thanks for letting people know.

A brad nailer is great when trying to hold a glue up together and you don’t want to wait for clamping times. All of these nailers have their place in a shop, including a pin nailer.
I was trying to explain if you are starting out can only afford one the 16 gauge is the way to go .I love my cordless pin naier . I have 2 of all nailers in air but only 2 cordless 16 gauge and pin nailer love having no air houses and copresses to drag around. Good comment it is so true brad's do have there place thanks for watching .
I own the DeWalt DWX726 stand and like it, but it isn't even CLOSE to the $720 Bosch folding portable miter saw stand I viewed at a showroom. But I won't spend $720 for a miter saw stand, either! I also won't buy a Saw Stop table saw, or a $2400 16" band saw!!! I didn't buy a DeWalt miter saw after my DeWalt was stolen. Too much money for a tool with too many things I didn't like!
Sorry about the tools being stolen had the same thing happen last Labour Day took me till Christmas to feel I had everyting back to normal . The Saw Stop is a great idea but the lobbying the company does to get the the Saw Stop to be the end all end all is to much .In all the shops I've worked never seen a person cut there hand or fingers on a table saw yes DIYers with no experince are the ones going to the emergency room I have a video on basic table saw safety here .ruclips.net/video/QinJ21K7Shg/видео.html Thanks for your comment

great video! just wondering what glue you used? (sorry if i missed that part!)
No, you didn't miss I will be gluing the reclaimed on slab on grade concrete , the glue I will be using will the same glue as Parka flooring its going to be tricky I should be installing in the next couple of months.Just finished the beam install so almost ready to pour the concrete. Thanks a lot! I just bought the same one. What is the plastic bag at 15:58 and what is it for?
The plastic bag is just a liner nothing critical comes with the vacum .You'll love the vacum thanks for watching .Forgot one thing the main bag the cloth one can be emptied and blown out and reused the cloth bag is really strong no tears still using the same one and the filter is super clean .This vacum is head and shoulders above a shop-vac no comparison.
Great video. Picked one up today at Lowes.
Thanks for the kind words ,you won't be disappointed .
Thanks for taking the time to provide an honest, real-world review! Adding one to my tool drawer soon.
Thanks for the kind words glad you enjoyed .
Thank you for making this and sharing it with the world! Right now I'm at about 10:45 and looking back: When you said that your level was a bit off I thought, 'This is not going to end well'. I always want to ask myself what I see as the key question. 'If I could start all over again how would I do it, knowing what I know now?' Any ideas?
From the back wall to wall not the front where the patio door is there a almost 1 inch out of level . Its easy to hide because there a staircase going there .How did I get that wall to wall out of level wrong was a string with a level wasn't accurate enough . The fix just bought a rotary lazer need it for a 1,000 investment you'll know if your out of level and if your out just cut the strofoam. Part of the problem was that one wall was on bedrock it was hard to get the footer level Other than that which is really minor very happy old and new meet almost dead on , the front door to the patio door which is over 40 foot is dead on . On the old section used Nudura way easier to work with 8 ft section it is tricky to install so take the course . Also I have the video for the old section it was cool to get a concert foundation under the old section was always on dirt . Last I would have went all the way to the top but downtown hydro wire couldn't do it , its a solid foundation with high winds here nice to have . Thanks for watching good question
You need a 1/2 incher gap per slide which = 1 inch but add a 1/16 of an inch so 1 add 1/16 [ so important that 1/16 of an inch ] for your draw boxes Can get these slides on Amazon buy a box of 10 you save a lot of money US Link amzn.to/4drWF6D good price 9 dollars each Canadian Link amzn.to/44sjhQC good price 15 dollars each
The stiffness, rough slide, and now the kick was the first things i noticed with dewalt. But i got it on sale for 650 with the huge stand, so it fit the bill and is by far the nicest saw ive owned and im often cutting big roughcut beams that the depth will be nice for. Im happy
I love the DeWalt saw for installs that 5 inches of cutting is huge .Thanks for watching

How do you do a brick ledge with these? Also, how does stone veneer stick to it?
To add brick ledge its easy just goes on top , I worked with brick ledge to get the concrete in the footing and wall see video ruclips.net/video/UFXw45LLlGI/видео.html Stone vener is tricky there are a lot of problems with it because of breathing and drainage .
