this is 1992?
Big Max Webster fan. Kim , super under appreciated for sure. I worked in the music scene in Toronto at this time , when there was a great music scene happening. Miss those times before the advent of , cell phones and 24/7 News/ Social Media. Human beings actually interacting and enjoying music together. What was different from today is that it was around all the time and in the air. Today you get the flavour of the moment blowing thru town to catch a pay check and then back to the silence.
I discovered him only couple days ago, and all I can say is that I wish there were more musicians like him. I love hs work!!!❤
Allan Holdsworth! Indeed.
Fun fact: Denise the VJ was the hot female cop in the Corey Hart "Sunglasses At Night" video. She also also ended up running Much.
Nope .. that's definitely not her in the corey hart vid (just took 4 minutes to dbl check even tho I already knew it wasn't her) ... let's face it .. Denise has never been known to be "hot" (sorry Denise 😜)
This band was so f'ing good here!!! Flawless playing of very complex arrangements, and actually enjoying each other on stage. You seldom get chemistry like this as egos just won't allow it. Kim seems a genuinely good human, and surrounds himself with other good humans. That's as rare as it gets!
Did Kim even glance at his fretboard once through this entire performance?? One of Canadas most talented by a long shot...and he's still killin it today!
He can rip but as I read your comment, he did many times. Lols
love them!!!!!!
What a great show me and my buddy Luciano were in the audience 🎸
I do believe I was watching this broadcast way back in the day. It sucked because I could not watch the entire show, because I had to leave with someone, and I did not have a vehicle. I caught maybe the first twenty minutes or so. Seeing the entire thing as it looked back when it first was on Much Music, was a great and satisfying watch. 30 years later, I finally get to see the whole show! I recently got back into Kim Mitchell's music so this was a treat. Thanks for putting this on YT!
Was he and the bass player an item?
Jealous ?
@@MM1717mm Strange comment to say the least?
Kim delivered the tunes! Great songwriter and guitarist.
Now children…! This is what we used to call music.
back when we relied omn Much to bring us stuff like this and the power hour etc....VJs, interviews...it was so rreal. now everything is fake.....superficial.....
Listen to Kim's INSANELY KILLER lead guitar riffs in APRIL IN TOLEDO...........NUFF SAID 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Yep, Peter's ultra high harmonies and backup vocals are an integral part, which made Kim Mitchell's trademark sound what it is 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This is better than any (C)rap song ever made.
Kim is the real deal. He was great his whole career.
WAS? Last time I checked, he's still strummin' and doing gigs, EH? 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
What is the name of the bass player?
rob laidlaw
Saw this when it aired and remembered the Julian Lennon bit.
This jam was supposed to be in Spanish anyway.
Canadian treasure.
All due respect to Peter Fredette, but there is NOTHING lacking from anyone on this stage!! The total conviction this whole band played with on this show can't be faked, they kicked ass and took names!! And that BASS TONE!! HUGE!! Wish I'd seen this show when it was first posted, but glad I've seen it now in 2024!! Rock on!!
100% agree, and I want to emphasize your comment on the bass. Great playing and a wonderful tone.
Peter Fredette in the line up way better backing vocals dude ! In fact he's a better singer than Kim !
Greg Critchley on drums!
no bass player on earth can touch peters vocals, especially not this one
@@guitarplayer5932 Haha...few SINGERS on earth can touch Peters vocals! This bassist ain't no slouch mind you👍
Yup. Bought a bootleg vhs copy of this at record show. Always waiting for an official comp DVD of Kim!
Street music at its best!
the Julian Lennon version of Might As Well... ✌🧡
In what language is joy or laughter or even dancing or even cryin... The World is really full of *sh*t in that regards...Hahaa Happy. Happy.
This is what live music should be. The amount of fun this band is having during this set is so amazing to see.
There are still live bands like this in Toronto. Keep it alive and come out. The Horseshoe, Danforth Music Hall, El Macombo are all still open and have shows.
Kim should have been a much more widely recognized guitarist. It’s almost criminal. He’s a wizard.
Max Webster would have been huge. If Terry didn't go back to school and Kim didn't have family problems that band would be as big as acdc, or van Halen
@@elliotjordan2326 I wasn't aware of the inside scoop, so thanks. I'm glad we have that body of music, but I think with tinkering, they could have been much better. Some of the lyrics were weak, and they kind of lacked an identity. When the songs were strong, they were in the stratosphere good. And Kim's solo stuff has plenty of gems. Glad he's stayed humble, and has brought his art to so many fans across so many venues, even small ones. I saw Max at my high school in 1974, and again backing up Rush in the late 70's.
@@canadianroot is it an inside scoop? Max Webster were on Top of The Pops in England.
@@elliotjordan2326 Wow, that turned sour. You mentioned school and family problems that I wasn't aware of. And then you mentioned TotP for some reason.
SUAVE!!! SUAVE!! COMO EL AGUA!!! DELICIOSA!!
weird hobby for ppl who like to pretend war..
It's a Museum on a military base....not a pretend war hobby
Always wondered where the electrical source is for these street bands?
