We had the Gotrax commuter scooters, they were great. We sold them and got ebikes, it's a more comfortable ride.

I was thinking the same thing. There is another video of another Captain who states to start your navigation into the inlet from the BI Bouy. This would avoid having to navigate northward if you were coming from the south. However, I believe there can be very large breakers in that outer channel therefore I suppose it would be safer to go up north like this Captain is saying, then head south to Red Bouy #6.

That oak cannot even design a matchbox, all his designs are basically taken. I got even prove. He would not be honest .

Thanks for the kind words. Over your 40 years of sailing I do believe the inlet has been dredged and shoaled over in all sorts of ways. When I made this video at the time I am telling the current conditions of entering and exiting the inlet. My words are to be used as a guideline. I say wall.. you say breakwater guess . We are both wrong cause its really the "North Jetty " same shit you hit it you sink. lol I say markers. you say buoy. same thing its a object in the water that is a navigation mark. A buoy "Marks the channel" therefore its a marker. And I have got many messages thanking me for giving safe passage to boaters who were scared to enter the inlet. It was helpful and they made it in and out safe.

Hey Shorty! It’s a strong possibility for the spring of 23. We’ll decide as it gets closer.

We haven’t tried it underway yet but will be testing soon. So far we haven’t experienced any outages during heavy rain storms, the dish doesn’t seem to move a whole lot, we haven’t disabled the motor. When running on the inverter it’s only drawing between 5-10 Amps which isn’t terrible depending on conditions. Stay tuned for our next follow up video, Thank you for watching!

Nope boated there for 20 years rock wall goes to the daymarker as I mentioned this is local knowledge. From what you understand ? Like what you were told ? Or you navigate through there all the time and know this? The way I explained helped many boaters and for other who look at a map have ran aground. . I wouldn't steer people wrong lol

They have another dish that is 22x20 I assumed that was the home use one. Our dish is 19x12.

@@SailingMTPockets Im going to have to disagree. Starlink has only offered 2 dish sizes. 22.3 inch round (discontinued in US) and its replacement 19 x 12 inch. The 20x22 dish is for commercial use $2500.00 plus $500 per month

I know right! lol The weather we were working with was awful so we had no choice but to stay inside.

@@SailingMTPockets I do have a question for you. I put the boat in the water, the cold water faucets works great however the hot water ones have low pressure. This is our first time with a boat with a water heater. Some water does come out but low pressure, pump is running then stops. I wait, do it again and same thing. Some one suggested I have an air bubble. I tried a few different things, any thought? Thanks.

@@bobpublik7037 Hunters have a water manifold under the sink. Make sure if someone winterized it for you they didnt close a valve on the hot water side for your hot water heater. another thing you have strainers on the hose connection on your mixing valve attached to hot water heater . the screens can be clogged with derbis.. you can also open the drain on hot water heater and run the water at the same time to bleed the air. dont forget to open the faucet on your swim platform to let the air out of there also

Yes e80. We changed it out for the raymarine axiom.9. Yes I installed everything on our boat. With AIS transponder and Quantum radar. We also use a iPad with aqua maps. Our boat is fully outfitted if you need help let me know .

@@jerseymike119 Thank you for getting back to me. I will get the raymarine Axiom 9 as well. I'm interested in taking out the E80 and not putting the Axiom 9 in the same place. I know I can get a bracket for it, we'll see. I want to be drive the boat sitting if that's possible. Not sure I'll do it this year. I came all the way up from St. Augustine using just the IPad and Aqua maps and Navionics. I assume you got the cable raymarine sells to get it too work with all the other existing systems. How long did it take you? Thanks again.

@@bobpublik7037 Axiom 9 is a great unit. they do sell the adapter plate from e80 to axion. Yes you will need a seatalk backbone. I will be doing some technical videos soon on lets of things.

Our mast height is 64 ft, we didn’t have any issues until South Carolina, wound up timing the fixed bridges with low tide, we didn’t have any issues. Will you be spending the fall in FL or heading back up north? Make sure you provision well for North Carolina and subscribe to AquaMaps. You can overlay bob’s tracks and that will show you the depth from USCG surveys. If you plan on staying at marinas, a 50 amp to 2 30 amp adapter is a must. Also, 2 17” fender balls, many marinas are side ties. I’ll let you know if I think of anything else and feel free to ask away if there’s something your unsure of. Fair Winds 😉⛵️

@@SailingMTPockets Glad to hear. My wife and are watching because you're going through the same place I just came through in May except the opposite way, great stuff. I'm a little confused when you were talking about depth going through some area and you had to go at high tide. Bob423 has said the ICW depth is 7 feet at MLLW all along the route. Was that an area off the ICW you were in and hence you had to make it high tide or close to it. Just curious.

Yes, we took the ICW the whole way. Watts cut has had a lot of shoaling this year and some parts are close to 4ft at low tide. You really need the tide to get through if your draft is 5’ or greater. www.waterwayguide.com/nav-alert/4-8176/sc-watts-cut-shoaling-mm-503

In October when Bob 423 was heading South he and alot of other cruisers noted alot of shoaling and markers missing. Bob updated all his tracks and everyone needed up download the updates . Alot of planning and constant updates to charts are needed when doing the trip. We had zero issues . Even the little mud river in Georgia. Bob reported alot of things they actually started to set up dredges at the reported shoaling.. it was great to see.
