is the Profishiency mighty mini a legit bait caster? Great little reel that would be a prime candidate for teaching children to use a bit caster. low sticker price and well made! Would make a great reel for people looking for micro size equipment or a travel reel with a cheap price tag.

M just seeing this video and noticed it was from a year ago. Do you have a 1year review of this reel? How does it cast? How durable is it? Etc…?
When you buy the kayak does it come with the pedals
Yes
We used to go there more often 10-15 years ago and it was absolutely amazing, it was the best. But we only visit once a year now. Over the years we started catching less and less, some of the deep holes filled in, we started seeing more and more people on it. With the addition of Georges Creek it's really made a popular recreational stream with more outfitters. It was our favorite but we prefer some of our other streams now. Looks like you still had a great time, enjoyed the video. Tightlines!
Thank you Sir it was a great day on the water especially since it was my first time fishing it! I’m glad you enjoyed the video I know I’m no Steven Spielberg but I think fishing should be simple for people to get into! I’d appreciate if you’d share with your friends there will be more stream adventures!
I’ve walked from Harrison jr high to first slab and caught some really nice small mouth and I would tell you where’s there 3 to 4lbers are but not here maybe we could meet up next spring I’ll show you
I’ll take you up on that invite! I’d appreciate that very much!
Can I get in on that information? I'm an Arkansas clear water stream smallie native. Earned my stripes in mountain view. Biggest there was 3 pounder.
Awesome bro...
Thank you sir!
Looks like a great day!
It was in fact a great day! Any day fishing is a great day!
@@fishingthedream331 yes!
Awesome day!!
Thank you!
i’ve been wanting to fish this, thanks for the vid!
Absolutely I’m glad you found it interesting! South of this kayak put in is a much better area for smallies I was told by locals!
If you’re not subscribed I’d appreciate your subscription!
Only issue I've had so far on my Voyager was that I cannot get the end caps back on the accessory rails, I have to remove the rail, which is inconvenient and not good on the middle screw as I am probably just screwing it in and out too much. Also, the traction pads came off on one side during a rain we had because I was keeping the yak at my parent's house and I accidentally left the plugs in and when I told them they didn't take them out, my second time out I purposely left the plugs out because I wanted the water to keep me cool and sure enough the pad on the other side came up. It was also on this trip that I decided to buy a paddle holder because that bungee cord was already showing signs of wear. So I attached the yakattach offset rod holder and attempted to take the yak out without the pedal drive in and it was extremely hard because I had to move the seat all the way forward to get my feet to rest on where I guess they should be on this kayak (I'm 5'7) and then the paddle kept hitting the offset rod holder, no matter where I put it on the track. It has not been an enjoyable experience so far. I can understand why I have seen them for sale on marketplace almost brand new.
I’m a firm believer in testing kayaks before I buy them now! To many kayaks to choose from!
Nice! Love all the local NC RUclips channels. Small rivers and streams are fun to fish on light tackle
I enjoy small streams all over the country and I’m recently doing videos in Arkansas
I love watching all your videos!! Makes it feel like were not as far apart. Soon as the temps start easing up, ill be wading somewhere in the cool water.
Good you need to get back to fishing
Great fishing! Looks like fun. I had a question about your ck1 venture. I watched your review on it and the comments are turned off. I just wanted to ask how long the storage area is behind the seat? Thanks!🙏
Almost 2-1/2 feet it’s a pretty significant space!
I had no idea at the time comments were turned off and thanks for the interest in my channel I’ll have plenty more videos in the future! Share my channel if you would I’d appreciate it!
There’s some nice small mouth in the Caddo, should have jumped on a tube and fished it 😂
I’m still going to give it a shot! It was just a lot of traffic. I’ll do a kayak trip on it!
Go Jessie! Love your videos man keep it up!
Thank you Sir!
After 3 months of use my hoodoo Stingray 130S has cracked twice and both seat buckles broke, hoodoo is saying I'll get store credit for purchase against another one of their junk kayaks.
Get rid of it I did and I’m happy with my crescent
What fishing access is this?
Just outside Mount. Airy
Can you tell me what city this by I am staying in Gassville this week looking for fishing spots
That’s Nashville!
Hey Jesse. Heat shrink tubing, after shrinking, is pretty tough and hard.To run the hook through the tubing perpendicular to the worm, I super glued a sewing needle into a wine cork with the needle point facing out, and I heat the point slightly with the torch. It will easily make a hole in the heat shrink on both sides, just big enough to pass the hook through the tubing and the worm. Tough as hell then. Saves a lot of baits and gets the best hookup for me. Subbed.
Thanks for the tip I’m always eager to learn new techniques and thanks for the sub!
So in this case, you’re still running the hook through the bait, correct?
@@myusernamewasused no I put just under the shrink rap
@@myusernamewasused The way that I rig them it depends on the thickness and hardness of the plastic in the bait. For a thicker and denser bait like a senko type, I run the hook through the tubing and through the bait about 1/4 of the thickness of the bait. For a smaller diameter and softer bait like a roboworm, I just catch the tubing itself and not through the worm much or at all. Hope this helps.
I learned the hard way using a traditional anchor in a river that when the anchor gets stuck, there's risk of taking on water and flipping. Am I correct to assume the power pole is safer, and have you ever been in a situation where it could cause you to flip?
It will pause you in moderate current and it’s pretty easy to use!
Very nice!
Thanks!
What color is this & how you rigging it? Thanks
natural color
Awesome man!!!!!
thank you
did you get a pedal or motor drive? i just bought one, tempest120P with the electric motor but im thinking im going to ditch that and go with the pedal drive, wondered which would be better. i have a rudder on top that flips down, design change? anyhow, im down south of you a few miles, wanted to know what water you like to hit? parker? patagonia? someplace else?
Mine is just a peddle drive! I’ve since went to a crescent paddle kayak and I love it! Much more maneuverable! It fits my type of fishing more!
Great video
Thanks!
With all these issues, you still say it's a Great kayak ,duh!
You could sit there all day and have enough for a big brim meal
it was full of fish
I live in blountsville Alabama now. I grew up in Birmingham Alabama and ive never caught perch in any creeks. If i ever do imma have to catch bout 5 or so see what they taste like
I was surprised they were there myself I caught one nearly a pound
I caught one about a pound which is large!
I am on my 4th yak and i will tell you tightning bolts etc is standard provedure even on the American made yaks. I slways find thongs loose, always. So get over that it is a thing. Hoodoo is bringing a good product at an affordable price. I still laugh at the people spending 10k on their yak and gear while i outfish them using ugly sticks and penn reals. And yes im worth over a mil bit im a retired Marine and am old school.
Hey buddy next time u pull the seat out of your yak and install it back in do one rail first then lift the back end of the seat bracket up and turn to one side to line up the insert Screw for the other side. and those plastic inserts on all the screws u pointed out being loose I don't think the screws are loose plastic insert on screws Swivel around I myself have the hoodoo 120p tempest
Once the shrink wrap is shrunk around the worm, I find it better to stick the hook through the tubing, perpendicular to the worm, as you would with a standard wacky rig. Same result of saving the worm but less likely to miss as many bites as can be done with the method of shrinking the hook parallel to the worm.
That wacky rig was slaying em. Great job .
thank you I love the wacky rig
Nice video. Just a helpful suggestion, get a net and a pair of forceps and you can release safely without even touching the trout.
Will do! Thank you for the input!
@@fishingthedream331 , you're welcome. Are you planning on fishing the delayed harvest section of the Ararat? Stocking next week and in Nov.
Have the power pole myself, and love it. One thing to mention is you can use it while sitting in the kayak. I weigh 250lbs in a 12" kayak. Will hold you there with no problems. Quoted to hold boats up to 1500 lbs. Price tag is high, but like you said can't put a price on fun. I got the battery pack with mine, also pricy at $200 but needed the extra room in my boat for other stuff. Nice video.
I just deployed it standing away from it for a better view! I’m usually in it when I use it!
Yes they work awesome. Great video!!
Lived here all my life, and those are pretty common as John stated. They are some really nice ones depending on what time of year. I have the power pole as well. It works really great, just for me it seems better if I can slow to almost a stop before letting it down. When I let it down while with the current it gets sketchy with the stability of the Kayak. Nice video
I generally slow to almost a stop when I deploy it! I’m glad you like the video!
Did you have any luck today? I met you today on my family’s farm.
No I can’t say that I did but it was a beautiful stretch of creek ! I really have to thank you again for letting me fish your creek I thoroughly enjoyed it ! I got to see a great looking king fisher ! Thank you so much for the hospitality!
Great video. I used New River Outfitters as recently as two weeks ago and they are an awesome crew! Super helpful. I caught 30 smallmouth on a 7 mile trip. They put me in at Gentry and floated back to New River Outfitters. Rapala jerkbaits and ned rigs are all you need.
I love the New River Outfitters service they are all so nice. The river is beautiful and its full of sallies.
My parents are just down river from there. Are you local?
no I'm not a local I fish all over the country and I will probably be back in the area soon. Its a very nice stream and a good population of sallies.
It’s been a year it shows do you feel it was a good purchase? Do you feel it’s decent quality?
I would buy another one! I gave it to my son and I bought a Crescent CK1 I’d rather have the Crescent!
Can you just deploy this as your going with the current or are you suppsed to be still when deploying it?
Yes you can deploy it in current ! I just try to back paddle a little to reduce my speed first!
Told ya that Allstar rod was definitely worth using!
It definitely is!
This is interesting. I'm looking at them because i can get a brand new one compared to a used one for the same price. Now i may go used....
Kevin I have since given my youngest son my hoodoo and I have purchased a Crescent Ck1 and it is better suited for my style of kayaking! I needed something more maneuverable in streams and rivers ! I fish mostly rivers and Creacent makes a really great kayak!
@@fishingthedream331 knowledge is power. Thanks for the feedback!
I subscribed friend great content stay connected 👍👍
Thank you so glad you enjoyed it
What is the brand of that little heat apparatus, or can you let me know all types of brands? Want to give this a try 👍
I’m not sure of the brand it was given as a gift to me ! I know it was found on Amazon.
Mine is a Sendiko brand and it works well.
We are neighbors. Great video. You have a quick view of how you rigged that. I saw it was wacky, was it a band on the body or did you go through the body. After the rain settles this week I am going to hit the creek with a Niko
You’re having too much fun
Yes Sir I am!
Good eating size catfish
Nice work! You caught a little bit of everything today.
It was a blast
Great video! As much as I love fishing from my kayak, wading those tiny creeks with an ultralight is a ton of fun, too. Stripes on their head like a bass…Warmouth, maybe? Subbed…Stay Safe!
I believe your right about it being a Warmouth I’ve just never seen them in this color!
@@fishingthedream331 I caught one last summer that I had to look at long and hard because it looked so much like a rock bass, but I’m in S. Alabama about 15 miles north of Florida…no rock bass within a couple hundred miles! Stay Safe!
Great hack. Your almost there but not quite. Your hook is going wrong direction and you wanna hook THROUGH the shrink wrap and worm
I’ve caught plenty using it this way but I’ll give your way a shot ! Thanks
Great video. It’s really neat to see all the creeks and streams you find.
Each one is different from the last !
