You are such a good cook! I'm cooking less & less now days. My health is not good, & I have to pace myself with cooking. I cooked for 5 people a couple of weeks ago, & it took me a couple of days to recover. 😂 I told a friend that when I can no longer do it, it will be a sad day for me. I love to feed those I love. Hi Jan, im glad your feeling better..I had knee problems in the past, mine was bone on bone many yrs.ago ..i had both knees replaced a yr.apart..I had Arthritis in both knees, it was the best thing i ever did😊 But everyone is different, Take care of yourself. Your in my prayers 🙏 also how is your weight loss journey going? Its not easy, one day at a time

Have you ever tried cooking bacon in the microwave between sheets of paper towels? I have not yet, but am going to! It comes out a big more crispy then you like it! Not sure of the time but faster than stove top. Just looked it up.....3-4 minutes per 4 slices of bacon (depending on wattage of microwave, this one was 1000 watts)😊❤

I need to drag out my air fryer! That looks delicious. I like mine a little more crispy. I keep the grease too. Good for putting in baked beans & green beans. I've been enjoying homegrown tomatoes this summer from the vegetable stands, & I love a BLT.

I don't like soggy French Toast either. Yours looks very good. Of course, everything you cook looks yummy. I have four family members coming in on Sat. that I am going to cook a meal for. If I don't run out of energy, I hope to make your peasant bread for that meal. I made my first ever Boston Cream Pie for my son-in-law's birthday yesterday. (His favorite dessert.) It was a disaster from start to finish! I basically ruined both the cake & the cream (getting in a hurry & reading the recipe wrong), & I had to make them over. Plus, I had to make two trips to the store in the process. First, to get the right sized cake pans. & second to buy baking powder that I thought I had, but didn't. I swore that if it didn't turn out, I was going to resign from cooking altogether! I didn't even taste it, but the kids said it was good. I'm so glad y'all are safe from the hurricane complications. Such a sad thing for so many affected. Those grandkids are going to remember the fun they had with the solar lights! Such an example of finding good among bad circumstances. Have a blessed week.

Glad everything is almost back to normal in your household! I remember having power outages and we had kerosene lamps and cooked dinner on the grill, (no solar back then!) had an electric stove! Did not want the power to come on either!❤😊🙏

Bread looks like the bread my grandmother made, not very brown, but crispy crust and hers was very dense! What are the ingredients? (I think she used flour, water, yeast and salt. Don't know if she used any oil, I don't think so!) Have you ever made Cream Cheese stuffed French Toast in the oven? Like a lasagna with 2 layers of cooked French toast and cream cheese in the middle, and cooked to melt the cream cheese! Many recipes on line.❤😊

The girls did a great job decorating! I love fall decorations; but this year, my health hasn't allowed me enough strength to get that done. Like you, I enjoy year-round decorations throughout my house, with things that bring me joy. I keep my Babe's cap & jacket, that he wore every day of his life, on a coat rack in my living room. I love the rain too, as long as I don't have to drive in it. People drive too fast in the rain, & the risk of hydroplaning is a concern. Have a blessed weekend!

Such tedious work! It is looking beautiful so far! My fingers cramp up if I sew for very long, even just doing buttons or tears! Used to make mini bird houses out of scrap wood and twigs and mini snowmen from old fence pickets, twigs and fabric scraps. No more! God Bless!😊❤

Thank goodness you figured out what was causing you more knee pain than you already had! Those statin drugs are horrible! Yes, they lower cholesterol, but at what cost?? Nutrition is usually better than some drugs for a lot of health conditions! People on carnivore diets gave high cholesterol but the carnivore doctors are not worried about it! Nobody gets heart attacks or strokes from it! I read a comment by a mortician that said the oldest patients in his morgue had the highest cholesterol and the youngest kids had the lowest! Ghat tells me that they put too much emphasis on cholesterol and not enough emphasis on sugar and processed foods that really are more of a problem than just cholesterol! We have to do our own research concerning our health, because doctors only spend 1 - 2 hours on pharmaceuticals during their medical training years! They rely on the drug sales people(paid by Big Pharma)for their information! But I'm glad you are feeling better with your knees! Continue to research your conditions and continue praying for guidance from the only True Physician, Our Lord! God Bless! 😊❤🙏(also I rub castor oil on my knees when they are stiff or aching! Lasts for quite a few hours!) Read about castor oil and all of it's usages......you will be surprised! Also look up Dr Barbara O'Neil, a Christian naturopath, that heals all kinds of issues with the foods and spices that the Good Lord gave us on this earth! You will like her!😊
