Love the bird houses on the post and the "ice sculpture"! A little snow once in a while when not expected is nice! A lot of snow,...not so much! Kids are sure enjoying it! Lots of potential pictures out there!😊❤🙏

I agree you should take a picture & paint the scene of your snow-covered trees & ice sculpture. So beautiful! I'm so sorry for Daniel's foot fracture. I know how painful that is! I've broken bones in both my feet over the years. Wish he had one of those knee scooters, so he could stay off his foot until it heals. It's going to take some time. Those grand babies sure were enjoying the snowflakes. I love seeing their joy & excitement! Seeing your clothes drying, sure brings back memories. As a child, every Saturday was wash day. We had to load the laundry in baskets & go early in the morning to a laundromat. It was the old wringer washers back then. We lugged those heavy baskets of wet clothes back to the house & hung them on the line. The blue jean denim back them was so heavy when it was wet! After the clothes dried, we spent the rest of the day ironing. It was always a long, hard day. I'm so thankful for our modern conveniences. Have a good weekend, Jan. ♡

I think you passed down your artistic talent to your grandchildren. Their work is lovely. My youngest grandson loved to draw & paint when he was young, & his work always included red birds. I still have some of his drawings, & they mean so much to me. He's 22 now. The red bird buffet & table toppers are so beautiful! What an awesome gift! I enjoyed listening to your sleet & seeing the iced trees & shrubbery. I think it's perfectly okay to cry with happiness! Glad y'all are well now. Flu is rampant in my area now, so I put on a mask when I'm out. Don't know if it really helps, but I sure don't want to catch the flu if I can help it. Three weeks with COVID was enough for me. I'm so thankful to be over it. Thanks for sharing your life, Jan. It's always uplifting to hear from you.♡

I could have spent hours in that variety store. When I was a kid, we had what we called five & dime stores, Woolworth's & Kress. They had everything too. I enjoyed looking through them so much. Thank you for sharing your travels. It makes me feels as though I've been on vacation too. The view of the little white church, with the gravestones in the forefront, would be the picture I'd love to see painted. That touched my heart on so many levels!

A very touching video, Jan. I loved the photo of you & Randy when you were just kids yourselves. A beautiful couple! I'm sorry it's been a hard week for you. I think I understand. Mine was for me too. This is our birthday week. Mine & my Babe's one day apart. I miss him every single minute of every day, but some day's are just harder. We buried another dear friend yesterday; so, it's been a double whammy week. But it's like I told a cashier in the grocery store, who inquired how my day had been, & I told her. We grieve for ourselves, the loss of their physical presence, yet we know they are in a good place, free of all pain & suffering, made perfect in the presence of our Lord. Even so, it's still not easy to be without them. God bless & comfort you, dear Friend.

My Babe & I were always "back roads" vacationers. We loved to see how folks live & all the out-of-the-way fun things. Interstate driving is boring. That is such beautiful countryside. Some of those back roads look like nothing more than a lane. I would be concerned that I'd get off on a private drive. I'm so glad that you & Daniel had a good time.

I haven't been out of my house, barely out of bed in two weeks. Still trying to throw off COVID. What beautiful, peaceful countryside! All those animals up close & personal are such a display of God's handiwork! I can just imagine the squeals of laughter & curiosity of little children who get to see this wonder. Loved the red truck and boiled eggs! Never tried air fryer eggs! No cracking or breaking??? They came out beautiful! Just made cold tuna/chicken(had a leftover chicken thigh) salad with tomato, onion and cucumber, mayo, salt and pepper and curry seasoning!( usually put celery/radish in it, but had none). Ate with Wasa Flat Bread in a bowl as a meal! Will try the air fryer eggs!! 😊❤🙏

So I just shipped Christmas and the only way I do priority is if I really want that tracking number and I want it to be treated as priority basically if it’s got gift cards in it or if it’s got cash in it, you know the things that we know, we should be insuring for a little bit more Than I’ll do priority and I’ll pay for shipping. I want that tracking number and I wanna make sure it’s treated as such. Otherwise, I just look for that other box 📦
