Suffolk is GREAT! And while most of Suffolk is quiet and peaceful, North Suffolk is a newer community with nice homes, condos and apartments, where there are fun restaurants and bars, and nearby breweries! It’s really a great area!

Haven’t watched a second of this video yet, but Suffolk continues to get worse by the day. Overdevelopment with an excess of warehousing and housing, repetitive businesses and not much with unique value to it, traffic worsening and improper planning regarding improving roadways. It’s a disaster. Update: that wide open land is dwindling with mentioned over expansion of housing.

I m looking to buy new construccion in portsmouth that im in love with, but moving from out of state with children if i move there borderline chesapeak can my kids attend their public school system since its closer to be in chesapeak schools than portsmouth..

This is a wonderful tour of Ghent. It's lovely and friendly. Some areas of Ghent are under architectural rules, governed by a board appointed by the City Council, and I regret to say that both these ententes are rife with corruption. While aritectuaral [reservation is important, it's how you go about it, and who is favored, is key. In some cases, like the extreme overnight exterior house lighting, is not allowed, stop gap measures by citizens are useless. A strong civic league is important, and while West Ghent has one of those, the other Ghent one (GNL) will not be looking out for the neighborhood. They talk a good game, give parties, but I never even knew a civic league could be as useless as they are. Parts of Ghent have been suffering coal dust pollution from the Norfolk Southern rotary ship dumpers at Lamberts Point coal loading facility 6. This has been going on for decades from "grandfathered" dumpers that pre- date the Clean Air Act. Folks only try and try but give up. Some folks are hopeful that new federal rules may help (not holding our breath however) and then again, the City Council is useless. The good citizens of Norfolk understand this. Folks volunteer and do good work, but engaging the elected officials doesn't work.

Do you all invest into rentals in the 7 cities? Multifamily?

Stay away from Ghent commons zero concern for public safety speeding and stop sign runners constantly 😢
