It actually makes sense that LR-Y doesn't walk outside, because in Night 1 it actually made sense because he walks through the forest to get to your house and climb onto your window, In Night 2 he comes through the vent, and there is no signal that he can actually escape those vents other than him breaking in, all we know is that they're connected.

for solo hemothermia, you can just use uv on larry and then run out the boiler room and come back when he despawns and repeat. the uv light gives you enough time to get out of the boiler room so with that strat it's not as painful to do
