    I think the EKU game will actually be a good baseline to see if we could reach top 4 in ACC.. we’ve had some tough games and a couple ACC games since our “easy” start games.. I think if we blow EKU out there’s definitely a case for being top 4 ACC.. if it’s close like the UTEP games since our then that brings into question just how good this team actually will be..

    Everyone blamed the defense for this year’s disappointing losses, but the offense left a lot of points on the field. Dropped passes that killed drives. Even the blowout wins should have been worse. I mean only 24 points against Virginia, 27 against SMU, and 24 against ND. The offense could have bailed us out to the point where we could have only had one loss and we would have made the playoffs when we were playing our best football. I guarantee that we would have won a first round game.

    • @matthewsabatino2277
      @matthewsabatino2277 3 дня назад

      To be fair thats a lot of shoulda woulda coulda yes did the offense leave points off the board. But a ton of offenses did, teams like texas and penn state always struggled to get points up at times. The majority of fault lies on the defense! There were plenty of games in which they only got one or two stops. Blowing coverages and putting all of the pressure on the offense to make up the scores. We were on avg probably giving up 4 or 5 touchdowns a game( im just spitballing). Thats just not sustainable, if our defense was just average or slightly above in a few games we would be talking an extra 2 wins. The offense wasn’t perfect it was a top one in the country, though defense was in the 70-100 range out of 120smth teams.

Be that talant be 1 star to 5 star BCS to div.3..They know what they are looking for and must have the ability to see the difference between players playing at 95% of their potential and those that have more potential that they have to get out of them. In the nil era you can not afford to recruit only 4 and 5 star talent from high school and the portal . There's one thing wrong with games at college campus sites over Christmas and New Years. NO ONE'S THERE. Guys, did any of you actually go to college? How many of you spent Christmas or New Year's Day in a dorm room? Unless you were a foreign exchange student, you probably weren't living on campus at that time. If you really want to have most games at college campuses, you need to start the playoff games 1 or even 2 weeks earlier. At some point, you will probably need to cut out conference championship games, and further down the road, cut back the season to only 11 games. I remember when the regular season was only 9 games! The NFL doesn't care about Christmas or New Years because none of their field are on college campuses. that's the difference.
