7-3 FINAL DEVOTION 2:06.0 (somnabuster developer times)
Was kinda going for a 'Shinobi III Stage 7-2' feel here, it was supposed to be just really tight fundamentals-driven platforming with no enemies or level gimmicks. It felt a little too empty, especially since 7-1 was already a breather level with no enemies, so I added a few hazards and goons to make it stand out. I like this level but I think the game would be totally fine if you just up and removed it. 7-2 is already such a strong stage, doing one more thing right after is definitely putting a hat on a hat (which that bouncer might be into, but not me)

The hardest level!! And the longest one!! Maybe this should've been the last level. It is kinda weird this stage has so much tension and challenge, you clear it, and then oop, still gotta do 7-3. Not that 7-3's a terrible stage, y'know.

This is my least favorite level in the game - it has no real identity of its own and just kinda serves to segway 6-1 and 6-2 together. It's a little long and brings down a world I'm otherwise pretty content with. The notes in my design document for this level are 3 bullet points and nothing else. I'm really happy with how the water mechanic turned out, was taking some cues from Ecco and the Tubes of Medusa level here. This level is one of my favorites. It's just great to see how masterful all mechanics work together making in the proces the best platformer semi final and final levels.
2:14 1. The realization of choosing difficulty level is genius, love it. 2. Why their isn't hardest difficulty achievement?

The first part of this reminds me of how speedrunners bounce their way through Green Hill in Sonic 1.

Randomly popped into my recs. Looks interesting, so I shared it in a server I'm in.
Great run! Would be really cool to see an inagme developer time trial feature. Also, it would be much better in terms of flow if you could cancel out of your spin with a broomburst in midair. It would allow for some insane speedrunning tricks.
This game looks AMAZING!!! I love the visual design, the oddly mesmerizing music, the strangeness of the world and the zany way it all moves, all of it! Keep it up your work is amazing!!! Fun little side note I kid you not right now I’m on a plane about 20 minutes out from bootcamp, going into the military. I hope that when I get out and check in this game is finally getting the attention it deserves!
