thanks Xhico, however, I'm now more confused as most of my colour palettes are not based on tints and shades of one colour only. I use many different colours! not sure how to handle those ones😕
Of course, you can make many colors work together. But sometimes when you're finding different colors too different, you can also refer to their Hue undertone. Sometimes, if you take a blue more green or yellow with an orange more red or yellow, you can change the way those colors interact with each other. If you took them more toward the yellow, they both would have closer undertones. Color is complex and we all perceive it differently. You can join in us in Color Camp to learn more about working with color in your designs.

If I use gradient colors in my design will it be print?
It depends on how you are printing. If you are printing digitally or using the 4-color process (CMYK), you shouldn't have any problems. If you are printing with spot colors (like Pantone), you will need to work closely with a highly skilled printer to execute this. There is also a technique called split fountain or rainbow roll, where you can achieve gradients by mixing inks on the press.

Enclosed Marquee! Wow!
Yes, it's a great new bonus!
So neat. Big question. If you download beta does that change the work space. How many alterations do you have to make in creating a new one if necessary. Can you still access work done in the old versions
Since this video was made, this feature has been removed from Beta and installed into Illustrator. If you're using one of the most recent versions, like 28.x, you'll have access to Generative Recolor through the Recolor panel. Make a copy of your original before exploring recolor options.
Holy Smokes, Xhico! This saves time picking my colors. So I can choose what I want and it generates the pantone colors?? Wow!
It's pretty amazing. It doesn't generate Pantone, but you can assign matching Pantone colors later if you have Pantone connect.

Make sure you have upgraded to the newest version of Illustrator 27.6.1
I tried to make an artboeard from my square on Windows (Ctrl B and Ctrl 9), but it doesn't work ((((
You may need to set this up in your Keyboard Shortcuts if it isn't working for you. Go to the Menu Bar > EDIT > KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS - then you can customize your shortcuts there.

another tutorial re Spoonflower - working with their color map - ASE file - downloading ASE to Illustrator; working with it ; any tips; quirks etc ditto: Photoshop
can you please do a YT or Skillshare vid - using these techniques to create a seamless pattern for Spoonflower; test repeat has no white lines (export to jpeg and tile out in Photoshop ??) - repeat in small scale for fabric and also same repeat in wallpaper scale - and how u upload/ etc to Spoonflower (I am hearing the platform has some quirks !)
would also like the same for Photoshop (add in - digitizing watercolor - if you do that - if not - no worries - just a tutorial/Skillshare on the Photoshop equivalent also - ps - it really helps if I can also see the layers panel in AI and PSD - thanks
