I once saw Paula Poundstone, on stage, with a sign language interpreter and of course, that is comedy gold to any comedian worth their salt. She did some jokes about how part of her act was timing and the interpreter might be messing it up and seemed to move on (the interpreter having to sign the bits, plus her own responses to Paula's questions), when she comes back to the interpreter, who just makes an " Oh, God; leave me alone!" face and gesture (while cracking up) and they go back into it.
Thought of this clip, where I first learned of the queen's and Philip's blatant cheekiness. And only Adam could retell it so perfectly. With how lightning fast the algorithm is nowadays, this Murican has now only seen evidence of the other instances her Majesty was unafraid to classily roast someone. May they rest in paradise.
At first I thought it was weird that he had someone signing his act. Then I realized that he's also a cripple so I guess he would want to help out the blind.
Well it is the sign for the word he is saying. Nothing funny about that it only looks funny to you but not to a deaf person as such. However, the words she signs have to mimic the actions to make them funny.
"you could smuggle something out of the country in that fake leg of yours!" I would have done it and told customs that Prince Phillip said it was ok. LOL
***** Actually I thought that story was ascribed to either Princes Harry or William. The story I heard about Steven K Amos was that he made an offhand joke at the Royal Variety Performance saying somjething along the lines of "The BBC have a diversity policy and for me to get on TV Lenny Henry will have to die." After the show Prince Phillip said to him "So you're the one that wants Lenny Henry dead ... we can arrange that."
"Oh he's a cripple, that's funny" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Notice how half the celebrity line-up only half one name?
Adam sounds like a female version of Mr Bean, doing his Queen impersonation.
damn it i couldnt stop laughing

love adam hill
Adam is a better comedian than I ever remember from tv. He's actually pretty darned excellent

RIP Queen Elizabeth 😔
RIP Queen Elizabeth II. Had to come back to this bit, because it's just so wonderful.
Roasted by the Queen. That is great ..for us.
Prince Phillip was a total lad. Lol
Who's back here today to remember Prince Philip and his awesome humour?
I’ll always remember the fun fact Adam shared that Prince Philip was smuggled out of Greece in an orange, what an amazing guy
@@finmiles965 orange crate 😀
RIP Prince Philip.
This is what I came to after I heard the news
@2:14 Josh Widdicome & Alex Brooker
“Helloooooo... *WhO tHe FuCk ArE yOu?”*
Sometimes i think the sign language interpreters are funnier than the comedians
When thinking of prince Phillip, al I see is Matt Smith
As cool as Queen Elizabeth is, I think I'd be more excited to meet Prince Phillip.
I just like how the queen owned him, with his own line🤣🤣
I wish you could hear how loud I just laughed for the entirety of this video, I may have an aneurysm.
I needed a laugh. Thankyou!
2:14 dude in the middle looks like josh whiddicome
That is Josh, with Alex Brooker sitting next to him
And at 0:18 the guy looks just like Pat Cash
"bright brown"

varun009 I think you mean the deaf/hearing impaired 💖
Maybe disabled - not all of us are good with ‘cripple’
- how much eyesight do you have ? - Not much by the look of that tie 😄😄😄🤣🤣
I always come back to this video. Adam is funny but Katherine (the sign language interpreter) is HILARIOUS.

"Whoo the fuck are youu!?" LOL
"you could smuggle something out of the country in that fake leg of yours!" I would have done it and told customs that Prince Phillip said it was ok. LOL
that is so Prince Phil.
When I get bored I like to watch this and put myself in the queen's shoes and think of how in the world she would react to this video
Don't know about the Queen but I think Prince Phillip would have a laugh.
This is the second video I've seen of a accented comedian making a fool of himself in front of the Queen. First, Danny Bhoy and now Adam.
all comedians have an accent, there is no need to mention it.
I was literally crying and then I realised I hadn't even watched half the video...! Adam Hills is my favorite!
I've heard about Prince Phillip's offbeat sense of humor, I think Adam Hills is on the money, he's like the old uncle at the family get together.

As an American, that happens to me all the time.
I'm a Black Canadian and it's the same thing for me. Having a German first name confuses people even more.
god I would love to see him live
I have and he's brilliant. Totally worth it.
I've seen him live once and would love to again!!! He's awesome!
I actually wanted fly to melbourne and see him. But covid happened
0:17 is that Pat Cash?
SlimeyZelda yes I’ve seen the full show he shouts him out
This is what I love Adam, he takes the piss in such a funny and forgiving fashion
He makes even my harsh Russian soul laugh to tears! xD xD xD
Adam is a seriously funny and nice bloke eh?...
LEGEND! Seriously he always has me in HYSTERICS!
LOL!
What show/special is this from?
This guy is the funniest I've seen since Dave Allen.
His laugh is the best thing!
I am literally crying right now
good old hillsy
LOL that's crackup.
