Don't really care much, been following since the first album in '73; after Pump and Get a Grip, I lost interest. Toys in the Attic was the last best album, maybe Night in the Ruts, the rest became more commercial which is fine; still good stuff.

Good. Areosmith were my intro to rock and metal music, and seeing them live was the worst I've ever experienced. They had no interest in being there, played for less than an hour and just went through the motions. Put me off them for life. Thankfully Chris Cornell supported them and totally blew them out of the water and made up for Aerosmith as the headlining act.

Who cares? I've seen over 500 live concerts. Many were some bands 4-5 times. Like Heart 4 times, Alice cooper 3 times, Rush 13 times. Aerosmith 5 times. And Aerosmith was the worst live band I've ever heard. Aerosmith is a studio band anyways. They never could play live.

Saw Aerosmith many times throughout my life and I must admit they were far better when they were sober.

Unfortunately, not everyone gets to go out on their own terms. Salute to the indelible legacy that Aerosmith has carved!!

Pink Floyd is my favorite band, my favorite concert, but I hope that they don't go the way of AI. Aerosmith is my 2nd favorite band, and I've seen them play live more than any other band, throughout the decades, and it's weird and sad to think that they are no more. Always fun at their concerts, singing along and the fans are fun too. No stuck up people there.

Having been in his presence I can say that unless you are a superstar or someone who can bolster his reputation Rick Rubin is a lazy POS who does nothing except show up late, if at all, when he does he is either eating or sitting in the corner "meditating" (taking a nap) then offers about 5 minutes of criticism and leaves...he knows all that matters and all that bands are paying for is to have his name slapped on their work. He doesnt bother to even remember people's names....his whole "bearded guru" thing is just a big facade.

I doubt the Core Four will play together at the Kennedy Center shindig. Phil and the drummers hate each other (I'm on the side of the drummers, fwiw). I'd expect something more along the lines of Heart playing Stairway to honor Led Zeppelin. Don't get me wrong, I'll be happy to be wrong

Very strange to me that King Crimson will play/tour without Fripp. He is Crimson, their identity IS him. Dig all the musicians doing it, but seems odd. A Sting fan (and I absolutely love the Police) but probably can't afford to see him, shame. Mark Knopfler, a great guitarist in his own right with a who's who of classic rock stars... interesting. Reminds me of "We're Stars", the metal equivalent of "We are the World". Always love the "D" option in your trivia category. As for Bryan, who the fuck wants to live to 100 in this crazy world. He may have been "in the band" for 13 years, but he wasn't making decisions within the band. He treated this with the respect that was deserved for a hired hand. The decision to retire does nothing for a guy in his early 30's. He's playing the long game and the best decision for his career was to jump ship to a better, longer lasting offer. I remember when he won the Modern Drummer Festival's youth division at like 13 years old. He was a monster then and he's got another 20 years experience since. Congrats to him.
