Much better results than polishing by hand. Even with this machine, workers at Hickory Chair spend an extraordinarily long time perfecting the finish of each piece.

The most skilled workers in a furniture factory are the ones who hand tie seats. Here is a clip taken during our visit to Hickory Chair University of the precision and dexterity required to execute this complicated task.

Can you please tell me what the seat springs are sitting on? Is it just a nylon mesh that is stapled to the bottom of the seat frame?
