If it squeaks, oil it, simple. I have the trick shaft, best shaft on the market. I have this double pedal, its really great, got to be the most adjustable pedal on the market. The newer versions aren't as adjustable. I got mine on ebay for under $90. I had no idea what i fantastic deal it was at the time. I had iron cobra double pedal before that and it always felt too sluggish no matter what I did to it.

HI Hector, How has the pad held up...? I have heard the pad gets shredded over time and leaves rubber on the floor and in the chain.

For people who may wonder why bands dont always show behind the scenes when they do serious recordings and stuff the answer is whenever you have a camera on you youre more likely to mess up or feel uncomfortable. And when recording tracks you want to do your absolute best which takes feeling comfortable and not being self conscious. Thats why many times with recording behind the scenes with bands they show parts that arent as important so they dont need to worry as much about it. Like in behind the scenes videos with Tool, for example, they mainly show them goofing off and doing soundchecks. The rest was serious business they needed to focus on without worry or distractions. Itd be cool to get full access like that for the entire production but then those albums wouldnt come out as good I think its safe to say.
