thank you its help full
Exactly what I wanted to see. Well done!
Glad I could be of help. Have fun with your project!
@@oldpathwoodcraft1656 I just finished 4 doors this morning. The multiple rags and the two work stations was a brilliant idea. It made the process so much easier then my first attempt. Thank you very much.
Hi Brad, I had a new door made and the holes were drilled. I’m taking the hinges off the old door and reusing. I bought replacement dowels. What is the best way to get these dowels in? Thanks!
You could first try attaching the dowels to the hinges (you may need a pliers to hold the dowel while you screw in the screw) and then just pound the hinges in place like I did in the video. Option 2: You could try driving the dowels in individually then screw on the hinges. Note: be careful not to break the dowels when pounding them in, they used to make them out of a very durable nylon but are now quite fragile. If you have any more questions let me know. Thanks for watching!
Best lazy susan install vid!!
could you hive me the dimenions of the plastic dowel ?
The dowel hole is 8mm and the plastic dowels are 7/16" long.
Outstanding, I’m currently converting an old lazy Susan with obsolete parts. Most videos show one door that is connected with multiple hinges. This is a nice option by using two separate doors.
this is a good video but can you clarify - I thought I read that the dowels are supposed to be used for mdf doors. Was this just for demo purposes?
Yes, this was for demo purposes. I had drilled some doors for the Blum inserta hinges but in the meantime my supplier ran out of the inserta style hinges and only had the doweled style. The inserta and the screw-on work just as well in MDF too. I mailed the dowels hinges to my niece and this video was for her to refer to since I wouldn’t be there to install them for her. I suppose I could make this video unlisted but something about it might be helpful to someone. Thanks for watching.
Thanks and good job
@@oldpathwoodcraft1656 you were right, this was helpful. glad I stumbled on this eventually. greatly appreciated sir.
So if my walls inside from left to right is 36 inches wide , I can buy a 32 inch wide lazy Susan ?
Should work, a 12” door opening with the 24” deep cabinet is standard for a 32” lazy Susan. Considering the hinges also in that overall space but I’m sure they don’t take up more than a couple inches. If you have anymore questions or need to attach a photo email me at oldpathwoodcraft@gmail.com
HOW I KNOW WHAT SIZE I SHOULD BUY TI FIT ??? MINE WOULD BE THE KIDNEY OR D MODEL ??
Good work 💪

Sir can u tell me what you call that center plastic part that stabilizes the pole, mine is broken and I need it.god I would appreciate.
I’m pretty certain you would be unable to order that single piece, I don’t think they sell individual parts. Nonetheless I do have an idea for a possible fix for you. I had to do this for a customer that lost that bottom piece. Using a drill bit the diameter of the metal rod drill a hole halfway or so into a small piece of plywood, maybe 3 or 4 in. square, attach with 1 1/4” screws to secure the vertical rod. If you are handy you may be even able to put some indents in the piece of plywood that would index the pie shape like the old piece used to do. Let me know if you have any further questions and if this works out for you or gives you an idea let me know how things turned out. Thanks
@@oldpathwoodcraft1656 thank you sir, I was able to do what you said with no problem. I was looking on the internet to see if I could find out what you call that piece, well What I came up with its called a beauty hub, but when I think about it it has nothing to do with concealing anything, it actually stabilizes the tray, and I could not find one that was like this one nowhere. Thank you for your help.
Excellent video! Was just installing the same lazy Susan and the instructions were lacking to say the very least. Thank you.
I installed this same unit only it's a 28in. However,,,,,,,the bottom shelf did not index correctly,,,,,,,even though I installed the bottom mounting bracket according to the Template. Doesn't seem like a good idea to keep screwing the mount bracket in different positions just to find the correct indexing of Kidney shelf?
I know what you mean. What I do instead is just screw in one screw then see how that bottom shelf is positioned with the shelf sitting on its index and then tweak the position if need be before putting in the remaining screws.
@@oldpathwoodcraft1656 Thanks for your reply- Will do
How much is it?
The rev-a-shelf lazy daisy LD4BW472-32-1 32" Natural Banded Wood 2 Shelf Kidney Shape Lazy Susan is about $260 retail, I get it wholesale for $120 and the polymer rev-a-shelf 6472-32-52 Almond or white is only about $170 retail.

Very helpful video! Replaced 17 year old builder installed lazy Susan that had cracked composite material shelves. Although understood the configuration from removing old lazy Susan, the instructions for the new one were extremely limited. Adding to the limited instructions was the supplier providing more hardware than necessary. Seemed impossible to place top shelf on top of bottom shelf while pipe was in place. Your video saved the day showing stacking the two shelves on top of one another on the floor of the cabinet. Then inserting the pipe through the top shelf, inserting the top shelf height setting flange underneath the top shelf, inserting the pipe through the bottom shelf and into the bottom floor bracket. After securing the top of the pipe to the top cabinet bracket then moving top shelf to desired height and tightening screw in the flange. Thank you! Added LED tape lights around the inside of the door frame and on the "ceiling" of the cabinet interior with a door switch to improve visibility of items on the shelves.
I'm glad that people like yourself are finding this video to be helpful. I'm impressed with you installing led lights with a switch even ...excellent!
@@oldpathwoodcraft1656 Thank you for your comment! The in-cabinet LED lighting is wonderful and did not cost very much. Created a pdf slide deck for the replacement and LED tape light installation. Does not include much about removing the the old lazy Susan and installing the new one since your video covers that work so well. Slide deck includes a bill of materials on last slide. Will e-mail to anyone who would like to see the process, result and materials. Ashburn922@gmail.com.
where did you get the kit from?
Richard, These are custom cabinets I built for my sister in-law , I shipped all the parts to her in a crate and this video is for her and my brother in-law so they have some instruction on how to assemble the parts. If you need custom cabinetry and you enjoy doing some diy, let me know I'd be glad to help you out. or if you have any other questions. Thanks
Do you remember the brand and model number for this lazy Susan
Lazy daisy by Rev.A.Shelf LD4BW472-32-1 32" Natural Banded Wood 2 Shelf Kidney Shape Lazy Susan Rev.a.shelf also has a polymer one (less expensive than this wood version but still good quality. If you have more questions i'll be glad to help you out if I can.
