The battery has 2 arrow shaped signals, one, receives power the other delivers power. You normally have one (Plug) connected to the ship power grip you it can be charged when in KLEG station, the other side need to also be connected to your ship power grid so it can deliver power to your ship. If all well connected when you turn off the switch for the power it should turn everything off if not just rotate the battery and install again :)

I have temporarily given up crew, my last one kept messing about with anything stored, moving things around randomly, and at one point he got so industrious that he started using the trolly to up his volume of randomizing my stuffs. I suspect one needs to carefully screen them before hiring.

Me just starting to learn the game and complaining that The Dream doesn't have enough space and then there is this dude. I do feel shame.

I usually only see that screen shake if the ship is being struck, or rammed; not sure what is going on with it here. Docking is a lot simpler if you get on a trajectory with the bearing close to 0 or 360; do this from a distance and adjust your heading until it only drifts off slowly, then the final approach is a straight shot. Another thing to consider is that your docking velocity does get conserved upon docking, so if you fly straight out from OKLG, and dock with a ship, the two ship will continue to fly on out of the OKLG vicinity. Due to the conservation of velocity, I will sometimes fly past my target, then turn around and dock from the outside direction and slowdown as much as I can as I dock, that way the ships will drift closer to OKLG rather than further from it. You can also use your ships thrusters to move the two ships together (or to stop any initial rotation), although it does damage your ship, so you will want to decrease your thruster power to decrease the damage done, and be sure to repair the damage afterwards.

Just getting back into this game after a bit of a break. Nice to see some new things have been added. Will be whittling my way through the episodes I’ve missed on this playlist! Love how deep Ostranauts is. I was put off at first by the learning curve but sometimes you just gotta go for it!

Matching speed wastes a LOT of RCS fuel though. You can use the slider on the lower left to reduce your thrust, which makes course corrections much less erratic. Just don't forget to increase it again for breaking sharply. Also you can install switches in walls.

if you get your approach on a near 0 bearing, docking is a lot easier; I think the patrol was interested in part because you left your transponder off, which is suspect behavior since they need that to identify you.

you had a battery in your backpack; I usually try to keep a fully stocked EVA suit or at least a pressure suit in a bin in each ship compartment. I have been holed a few times from micro meteors, and rammed by inattentive pilots; died from high speed collisions, but not from the meteor strikes.

that insult icon may have popped up from somebody in mescaform being an enemy; you may have made enemies during character creation

I've had a few of those mid flight crashed from some nincompoop slamming into me, always sucks cause there is little you can do about it once it happen

The volume is better, at least setting my volume at 100% i can hear you, thank you. However i would say that yours are about 75% or less of the average youtube video volume. I don't know much about video recording, but i know that OBS comes with an audio filter called "compression" (or maybe "normalization") that automatically boosts the quieter parts of the audio and lowers the peaks, making a more consistent audio stream in terms of amplitude. Man, you are filthy! I always assumed that not maintaining hygiene would cause health issues. I am interested in how you have so many derelicts available, I can't find any in my current game, other than a few that I have already stripped clean.

Imho, the best way to help with docking is setting your bearings (vcrs and brg) about level with the ship you are docking with, press match speed and slowly advance

Check previous shift entries. Sometimes you miss a payment, and it keeps dinging you with late charges. Also, some ships have laser batteries equipped, and take pot-shots at others.

If you link your pda to the nav console you can re-name your ship and also use that to check navigation

I ran afoul of losing track of time, missed a mortgage payment, which meant I couldn't afford the salvage license, left anyway, got spotted by a patrol, caved his head in with a crowbar, stole his ship by moving my transponder and console over. Now heading to the Flotilla to see if I can 'register' the ship under my name. My character was such a staid, reserved person before capitalism got its claws into her.

Heya, do you know that you can carry a crate full with backpacks and totebags? You can fill them with stuff and tools so you can carry around a lot more items. I use at least one of my stocked backpacks for small scrap items to carry with me while repairing, and another one for tools.

Expanding the ship seems a bit of a trap in 0.14, it doesn't take much before the ship is too heavy for the new interplanet drive. I have 3 HE-3 tanks and can't fly to the nearest planet in my ship. I hope it will get rebalanced, because none of the build in freighters can actually travel, they are just too big and heavy. You have to make a super slim ship that is mostly reactor to actually zoom around the solar system. Everything is just 10x to big to to work with the new drives fuel balance.

I know I'm a week late saying this, but I only just found this series and started binging it. So do forgive me if you've noticed this already, but it seems your ship has two RCS thrusters on the left side and one RCS thruster on the right, so strafing to the right is gonna be twice as powerful and take twice as long to slow down.
