I think the writers understand/know that the vast majority of viewers of VR are women. And . . . women CRAVE romance! They want to see as much romantic foreplay as possible, especially between Mel & Jack! Henderson is exquisite at depicting, seemingly, genuine (and intense) excitement in love scenes; so much so, that one can almost "feel" his passion in those scenes. If they want to continue to hold the No. 1 spot with Nielsen ratings, then the producers will give us MORE kissing/love-making scenes between the two stars--AND--continue to display (often) Henderson's muscle-bound physique! BTW: I'm certainly not ignoring Breckinridge's role; after all, it takes "two to tango,"
