Part III of my thoughts to your song: The sun is your source of energy, your guardian. You wake up and face the sun that in the morning and evening illuminates everything in golden light - so beautiful and magical. (I once wrote a poem about it - the rays are like its golden children). For me the sun is male and female - nurturing and strong. Powerful. It‘s round, complete. The memories - fun and laughter - stay and will not be forgotten. Love - The melancholy in the melody shows hints of old scars. A man affected by his experiences. But there are also signs of joy and unbroken optimism. The happiness that is in his reach. The song changes with nighttime. It‘s time to stand up and act accordingly to the decisions made. Become whole, be at peace and live your freedom. These are my interpretations :) Sorry if some of these ideas don‘t fit to your intentions and the real meanings. It’s a deep and very beautiful song, Luke. It has an elegant and smooth rhythm, with accentual trumpets and percussion. Your voice sounds warm and strong/fragile at the same time. I greatly enjoy it! Thank you very much for this song. And for your courage. Your good heart shines through you. I don‘t know your book „Desert Conversations“ yet. It‘s surely great and I‘m looking forward to discovering it. :)

Part II of my interpretation :) The sunrise and the sunset indicate full daytime. You sit there, walk around to different places - all too old, too small for you - maybe useless now. You visit them, you try to find some meaning there again. And you say goodbye. You need a new destination. The night sky - it looks so beautiful, so meaningful - darkness and freedom (similar to the depth of the ocean), the uncountable twinkling stars - for me they give comfort and exhilaration. They know. There you find free space, no boundaries, no limits…

Black and white video - so wonderful! Symbols of decay and abandonment. And of freedom - the beautiful and stunning eagle (which flies away and leaves), the solitude. The trees add mystery and strength. The cave paintings give depth and history. The old buildings and machines - broken. They are not working anymore for you. And you walk away after sitting there and contemplating your next goals. You walk away - in the middle of the road, owning every step.
