Macacauba Wood Blank (Streak Continues)
How on earth did you manage to source wood that wasn't crooked, warped or had holes in it?! 😂
HOW DO I BUY ONE?!
I dare you to adjust legs height..
Ok…
It kind of looks cool if you wanted that effect
👍
Love the shape of this one! Walnut is so pretty!
Thanks, think I am gonna do a bunch of bowls of just walnut
I didn't know how cool Walnut was until I started woodturning looks really nice, brother.
Thanks, appreciate it. Gonna keep doing these wood blanks until it warms up here in Texas.
@saultytexas no kidding I've been cutting back on projects because it's just too cold here on the West Coast. Keep up the good work brother
@ You Too, stay warm.
Simple, beautiful, stylish quality , well done, m8.
Thank You so much.
This is the second video ive seen now of black palm and how much of a problem it is. I think ill toss out the black paln pen blanks i have
Thanks for watching. I have another palm blank and I am gonna give it another try.
Despite it being a mistake, thx for sharing so others can learn and be safe.
Thanks
great vid!!!!
Thank You
Bro, this is a great idea! Rename your channel something like, OneMinuteTurner, and just post one minute edits of this 🤔
Or a second channel, double up. Full videos on one, and minute on the other.
Thank You
Nice little bowl!
Thank You So Much
Nice brother
Thank You
Well done!
Thank You
Yeah, glue it first with a couple of coats and the resin wont seep in.
Thanks For Watching, appreciate the feedback
You are funny 😂😂😂😂
The thanks
Thanks
The whole reason I watched this video is to see how to put the clamps away. Thanks for nothing.
Ok
Enjoy WoodPrix woodworking instructions.
WoodPrix is a good solution for every woodworker.
Nice job. A friendly tip. When showing us final Product. , stop the wiping before you show it and stop swaying front to back as you are talking. Just a friendly fyi from a viewer who knows you rarely get better from pats on the back. Good luck. You taught me a lot , ty.
Thank You, thanks for the feedback
Have you tried a space heater? You can get a little benchtop space heater and aim it at the work. You can also bring your parts into the house the day before you plan to turn them and get them warm. If the problem is just that it's cold, then combating the low temperature is sort of something mankind has done for a very long time.
Thanks For The Feedback
change resin, use casting resin
Thanks for the tip
holy fuck did you try turn it on again after that ??
Yep
u probably mixed it right but in the winter it takes the resin longer to harden then in the summer or spring. Chris
Thanks for the feedback
you're epoxy is formulated for coating applications (not casting). I think the manufacturer of your resin (East Coast Resin) recommends pour depths of ⅛ inch per layer. your chip out may be due to the epoxy getting to hot and curing to quickly causing it to become brittle. I'd expect casting resins would be more suitable and less problematic.
Thanks for the feedback
Bummer those blanks were so pretty! My guess would be the weather and the delay between the pour and the turning. Resin will continue to cure for a while and I have a hard time working with it if it has set too long.
Thank You, sorry for the delay in responding to your feedback
Did You make it with WoodPrix instructions?
Nope
Cool blank! Like it with the black hardware!
Thanks I have a bunch more of these blanks

Happy birthversary! Nice looking bowl! It’s been a busy year for you!
Thank You 🙏 so much for all your support this past year.
I feel your pain, i was turning a bottom of a box with black palm. This is not an easy task but ive broke the thing in half 3 times when working with it . I have taken a break from that project, mayb ill go back to it.. ://
Thanks for the feedback. Hope the next one goes better
Pretty!!
Thank You, next weeks pen is gonna look even more awesome.
Cool idea, awesome outcome, brother.
Thank You
Get a haircut and a job, hippie.
Dude that came out sweet, great job brother.
Thank You
Love it! Like the shape, it was a happy accident! Great color too!
Thanks you so much.
Nice
Thank You
Love the purple!
This is going to be Sundays project. I’m using a new pigment set on this one. The color looks awesome.
Yo brother the Bowls came out pretty cool for being scrap wood you might be able to use those bowls for hash brown the cat.
That’s exactly what I ended up doing was using them for our outdoor neighborhood cats. 🐈
That little house came out cool cats going to be a happy camper
Thanks, nearly drilled into my leg but it’s holding up nicely
Yeah it is a cool piece of wood and the pin came out really nice good job brother
Thank You
Practice is important and crap wood is good for that. You did what you could with it. Don’t underrate experience.
Thank You, I should have let the wood dry but it’s being used as a cat food bowl now and it’s working.
Nice! Walnut is so pretty! Nicely slim!
Thank You, I have so many of these blanks I’m gonna make a lot of them.
I want to know why this happened. Anyone else to explain?
User error
Yooo brother don't wear gloves around a lathe. If you insist on doing it that's cool but at least tell others not to do it at home. It's extremely dangerous.
Thanks for the feedback and the tip.

Holy smokes man I’m glad you didn’t hole yourself! Very sweet of you to take care of the local stray!
It was a crazy injury. It could have been so much worse and I was really lucky. I wont be making that mistake again hopefully.
Pretty cool! What are the materials?
Its acrylic and wood.
Bummer! They can’t all be as awesome as the last one. The next one will be better I’m sure.
That acrylic is so hit or miss. This weeks pen is simple wood and I will come back to the acrylic eventually.
more glue, lighter passes. No need for CA on acrylic. Sand to higher grits, the acrylic will look like glass. Good work tho , you'll get there!! We all have bad ones starting out.. I've blown out many...
Thank you for the feed back and the suggestions. Hopefully the next one goes a lot better.
