I will say 98% of excursions I have been on.. get back in time for you to spend money at the port. Only a handful of times that. I have slveen rushed back to the ship.. and that was due to heavy traffic

I was in this ship for thanksgiving. Let me say a couple things …. One I defer to any posted height age and weight requirements posted by the cruise line or the hosting vendor for the excursion. If your six year old meets the requirements then that should be fine. The swimming is probate least labor intensive part of the excursion.. climbing to the top of the waterfall and the walk out to the waterfall might be the more labor intensive part.

I bid just an over the minimum at 305 per person. So 610 total for 3 people. Pretty big savings over booking the balcony room at 4700!

The waterfall slide drops you off into deep waters.. you’re wearing a life jacket though… so maybe ok for non swimmers. No time to shop after, we arrived right at boarding time… though you could probably grab something quickly at duty free which is right in front of security. This excursion was (and is , just checked ) 170 per person. Hope this helps let me know if you have other questions! Safe travels

I brought my phone and it got soaked. Not ruined. But the buggies go through a pretty good river.. like 5 times. I was very moist so it was like someone throwing a huge bucket of water on me several times. Hope that helps!

You can totally do it solo. Bring your sign and sail card, some form of identification. Cash for a locker and tips.. water shoes if you don’t want to rent. That’s all needed

Now that’s a good question, no they don’t. There stairs and bridges, I’d says it would be pretty impassable for buggies at least on the route they take you. The buggies go through town and a different part of the river. Very fun though!

There is a booth at the main entrance where the boats dock. I would ask them… they had iguanas experience you could add on also.

The beach in Barbados and saint marteen was fantastic! We didn’t venture too much into the beaches at Trinidad and Tobago

The tour requires close toe shoes… so tennis shoes would have worked . But you need to know they will be 100% soaked.. there are at least 6 different places where you would be ankle deep in water. I can only suggest to bring a comfortable pair of water shoes or wear the ones they offer. Hope that helps and let me know if you have other questions

We were in the same boat! Been on so many carnival cruises and the food was always edible, but not really amazing. Going on Royal Caribbean one month removed from being on carnival cruise really allowed us to compare and contrast. You will enjoy the Royal Caribbean food!

I think the easiest way would probably be through the Royal Caribbean app. During the registration process it’ll ask you for you cruise confirmation number.. and as long as your with 8-16 months of your cruise… things should be loaded for you to see… if you book 1.5 to 2 years out…. May have nothing to see or very few options. Let me know if you have other questions

I am also becoming a bigger fan of the smaller ships. I went from carnival Mardi Gras to Royal Caribbean jewel of the seas to celebrity summit. Going the right way I think

I have a cruise with Royal in November that I reserved 22 months out. They had 5 things at each port of call. Over time they added more and more.. now I’m 10 months away and there is 3 dozen options at each port of call. Though for the Australia locations seems like most stops had 6-9 even a month out.

We did the train which is very beautiful! We also rented a twizzy which is a small electric car, the scenery is incredible!

Out of curiosity have you ever done an Alaska cruise?

We have done an Alaskan cruise but it was about 12 years ago. It was on Princess and was great! There was a naturalist that explains all about the Alaskan landscape which was very interesting.

Couldn’t agree more with your assessment.. and I never did any of the specialty on Royal Caribbean.. and mdr was so good we never did. We enjoyed Chibang, guys burger is a staple!! And Shaqs chicken strips were very good also.. shaqs breakfast biscuits were like the dinner rolls.. very hard
