Ignacio, I'm hearing from creditable source that the BOS are a 4/3 vote in favor of Buc'ees coming to Stafford. This was an update week of 5/20/24. FYI. I'll try to keep this updated on the video. Thanks.

Why is it that someone from outside the community moves in and starts complaining about how things are being run and wants to change them? I doubt that of those 1000 people that signed the petition, more than 10% have been in Stafford more than 10 years. I left Fredericksburg after 22 years there shortly after the commuter rail opened and started bringing down the Liberals from DC and MD who left their cities because of the way they were being run, and then wanted to make Fredericksburg just like the places they left.
On the contrary, may who signed my petition have lived in Stafford for years and don't want to see their quiet peaceful communities west of I-95 off exit 140 destroyed by this behemoth. There is nothing political here let Buc-ees go somewhere else.
stafford demands that they be permitted to remain an armpit and pass on the $3.5-4.0M annually in local and state tax revenue from having a Buc's .... they demand to keep their trailer parks just as they are. -- an eye sore.
I completely disagree the communities of Austin Ridge, Embrey Mill and others are nice large homes in well kept neighborhoods. We are fighting to preserve our lifestyle of a walkable community and not see it destroyed by this behemoth called BUC-EES. THE BUC STOPS HERE!! NO BUC-EES in Stafford!!!

Here in Texas, we’ll drive 45 minutes to go there just to have a fun afternoon with the kids. Grab some lunch, snacks and then head home.

This is terrible. Someone I know in Maine told me this happened a half a mile away from his mom's house.
If you're not safe in Lewiston, Maine you're not safe anywhere, the sad reality of 21st century America. This country has a serious mental health crisis with these individuals having access to firearms that's a dangerous combination and history has shown it over and over again.

I’m from Maine and after my husbands third deployment my husband was having mental health issues… myself and his family went to the military base trying to get him help multiple times and all we were told was “He has to come in on his own for treatment” Needless to say, he never got the help he needed.
I'm so sorry to hear that may he rest in peace many of those who serve in the military or as first responders give in to the pressures of the job and without professional treatment many unfortunately give up in life.

I say hooray to Matt! It's nice to see that somebody finally has some balls to say no to ever increasing spending and forever continuing resolutions that fail to make a f****** budget. Hazard country goes hurtling toward the cliff, it's nice to see that somebody wants to put on the brakes instead of arguing about how fast we're going to go.
This had nothing to do with our deficit spending but entirely about Matt Gaetz's ego and wanting to remove McCarthy from being Speaker of the House. This all started in January when Gaetz confronted McCarthy making ludicrous demands from him. This was a strategic move to take hm down using the democrats for his own her personal agenda. We'll see Gaetz making millions of dollars next year working for CNN, FOX or his own podcast cashing in on this historical coup against McCarthy. In reality, a small minority should never insert their will against the majority and that's what happened this week. This is very sad for the country weakening the Republicans for next year's elections which would be disastrous if the Dems take over and then you'll see massive spending once again. There is a saying better the devil you know than the devil you don't know.
Your wrong. Mccarthy didn't follow the rules and gaetz stood his ground. Do things the way you should and he'd still be there.
I completely disagree over 95% of the Republican Conference wanted him to stay as Speaker of the House and it was Gaetz's personal battles with McCarthy that led to his motion to vacate. These eight Republican that voted to remove McCarthy did it for their own personal reason and not for the good of the country. Don't let them fool you.
@ignacioesteban1542 And you don't blame any Republicans then for the massive debt we've acquired then? When Mccarthy was running for speaker EVERYBODY knows the deal that Mccarthy made with gaetz so that gaetz would vote for him. He didn't hold out his end of the deal. We will have to agree to disagree.
This massive debt accumulation has been going on for decades and I blame both parties and this was not the way to deal with this situation. This only empowers the Democrats and weakens the Republican party. @@timothypowell5687
