I view a problem drinker as someone who drinks too much, and gets in trouble due to her drinking. An alcoholic has a genetic disposition which processes alcohol and its byproducts differently than a non-alcoholic. Both need to not drink.

The addiction to alcohol in regards to genes is always linked to how you digest alcohol. Not if you have some mystery addiction gene.. Those who process alcohol and it releases dopamine, will naturally always drink more, as each drink makes them feel better.

I was a binge alcoholic... It’s absolutely terrible. Everything was falling apart, but I wasn’t interested in that. All I needed was drinking, in large quantities... After delirium and a week in intensive care, I had a hard time giving up this addiction. It’s not easy. But after a few years of sobriety, you will feel the taste of life without alcohol. For me it was like a revelation, an insight...

I heard about the vodka in the water bottle cannot knock it at all . Just need to find yaself but enjoy the moment!!!

Good n Bad, Right n Wrong, Truth n Lies, etc etc are all subjective now, there is no “definitive definition” for anything now, everything is whatever each person believes it to be in their reality, so how can one person know prior to speaking if what they are going to say is hateful or not to whom they are speaking?. Therefore, HATE SPEECH IS SERVES MERELY A MEANS TO PERMIT STUPIDITY, IMMORALITY and CRIME TO THRIVE. That begs the question as to ON WHAT BASIS IS the Authority of the Law, Law enforcers, the Courts going to claim power to trump the personal beliefs of someone who has committed what would normally be regarded as a crime / offensive but their personal beliefs didn’t regard their words as such?

Yeah... I don't believe it. Don't get me wrong, I do believe that people have these experiences that imply the non-locality of cobsciousness. What I don't buy is the whole 'Life after death' thing that it implies. I get the sense that all these experiences are just there to trick us. I think we're being tricked by something to make us think that there's more than there really is. Same thing with UFOs, past lives, mandela effect and other consciousness phenomena. It's all some kind of ruse. To what end I don't know.

Psychologists lie or rather are blind. I know exactly why relationships are dying. Every women I know was bullied in school either by other girls or teachers. Public shaming is norm in school. Showing how dumb someone is in a front of crowd? My four sisters were healthy before going into school. Two of them are pathologically narcissistic now. Using bullies to rule classroom is common tactic taken by teachers. They put blind eye to abuse. Psychologists are blinded because they are successful product of school system. They believe in it. They shift the blame onto parents looking for "abuse" under every rock. It's all bullshit. My sisters repressed school trauma that they dont remember anything from primary school. Nothing. I went through six months agony to open my mind to those horrible memories and process all emotions. Only because I've been lucky I could do that. Guy who was my therapist was using psylocybin and other plants ILLEGALLY!!! It's all bullshit. Don't believe. I'm sorry for all women because I remember how they were treated. It's heartbreaking. Love of my grandparents and parents wasn't enough. Either you are abuser who scares shit out of other or you're a victim. Both ways lead to having damaged attachment system after few years.

Observing my dad, my two brothers, brother in law and every married guy I know I can tell you one thing: It's not worth it. Everyone of those guys in chronically unhappy while bashed by their spouses. Those women are bragging yo their girlfriends how worthless their husbands are. When woman pushes on marriage just leave her. Like I did. Women are taught to be abusive from childhood. Finding fault in husband is seen as in good taste for women. No single man do that. What's interesting is how my happiness is not liked by women. They have allergy to me smiling and laughing. My two sisters laugh at their crying sons. I'm shocked everytime i see it.

I take issue with some things Professor Vankin says here and he reminds me of Dr Ramani. For instance, when the interviewer asks if it is due to some childhood trauma or developmental disorder, he just brushes it off saying "No, it's a manipulative instrument. It's machiavellian.", when in fact, many experts do claim these things are indeed a common factors when it comes to the development of narcissistic disorder or strong narc traits.

You're creating a debate out of nothing because you are arguing about semantics; some "addictions" are good and some are bad. Good "addictions" aren't really called addictions, they are habits (going to the gym, bonding with a partner, etc). Bad "addictions" are compulsive behaviors that are intrinsically harmful to a persons health. So when we are talking about addictions, we are talking about destructive behavior.
